    I purchased this for my 9 year old daughter and she enjoyed playing with it and trying to make it hatch. It did hatch fairly quickly but only the top half breaks off. You have to really pull the bottom half of the egg to finish "hatching" it. She did get excited every time she reached a new level though.

    I have a 5 yr old and 10 yr old they both love their hatchimal. When the eyes change colors it means different things so it's a little easier for a little older kids that can read to know what to do

    Of course these are adorable. My 4yr old loved hers. I just wish they actually took longer to hatch. Once they're hatched, the fun is kinda over.

    The product is a little expensive for what it is, but my nieces loved them. Surprisingly they still play with them a great deal after Christmas.
