I got tired of having to call either my cable company or DirecTV every 3 months or so to get a reasonable price so I decided to cut the cord. Where I live local channel aren't available via streaming services, and I watch some programming and sports on the networks, so I bought an antenna that I installed in my attic and a HomeRun Connect. Hookup was super-easy and all I had to do was turn it on and was able to watch TV on my mobile devices using the app. The dual tuners are great and I haven't felt limited. I did not need the higher end HomeRun because I planned to use it on setup boxes or mobile devices around my home and I have a pretty good home network. I use an app called Channels to watch TV using Apple TV and Roku. It works great and has a DVR add-on which I run on one of my computers. BTW, I use PS Vue for my other streaming channels, so my monthly TV cost has gone from $144/month to $53/month.

I've wanted to try an HD homerun for some time now. I've watched many videos and read a lot of articles that intrigued me. Best Buy finally started carrying these and I was fortunate enough to get it on sale. We just moved in to our new home and trying to avoid cable so I purchased this unit. Setup was super simple and out of the box with a 15 dollar antenna was able to pick up 30 channels. The signal was clear and it worked on the home network with no issues. Using it with Google's live channels app allows me to dvr shows for free which is a big bonus. For cord cutters this is a must own so only one antenna is needed and it can be streamed on most devices.

What can I say that others haven't already said? It simply works and is very easy to setup. Once connected to a good antenna and you go through the steps of scanning for channels, you are all set to stream live TV.

Free OTA TV streamed to my AppleTV using the channels app/DVR. It works much better than other pay solutions after a bit of set up.

Easy to setup and use. Just connect the antenna and Ethernet cable and tuner is accessible from windows PC's as well as phones connected to your local network..

I already had a HDHomeRun extend before purchasing this one but I ran out of tuners for my recordings so I started looking into this one. The Connect works great so far, it was recognized by my set up very quickly and was updated to the latest firmware version. Now I have 4 tuners total and everything works perfectly. I purchased SiliconDust DVR service and it works great, they have an app for every platform and the app itself is good, I would like to have a grid type guide. It takes some time to get used to their format. I like the fact that this company keeps improving their products and have very active support. I got a great price at best buy with their price match guarantee.

The setup was quick and easy. The app works well and it works excellently with Plex OTA DVR. One thing I would recommend is a good amplified antenna the further from towers you are.

Does exactly with it should but if you are using it with Plex I would recommend the HDHR Extend. That one has a build in transcoder and works much better on lower powered servers

i was always wondering if a device like this existed, then i saw it on a sale. have it set up with a HDTV i bought and now i can stream local channels anywhere in the house!

I purchased this product not knowing what to expect. The product performs very well with no lag in the video or sound. The Software works great on My computer, Xbox one and smart phone. This product is a definitely “must have” product for a cable cutter.

I have it up and running in my network, very good performance but I still need to learn more about its capacities

Hit or miss with Plex pass. Works decently with strong antenna channels.

This works great with my Mi Box Android TV. I no longer have to switch inputs on the TV to watch live TV.

This device has gotten me closer to my cord cutting goal. I really like the integration with Plex, which has made my wife very happy. I would highly recommend this product if you looking to cut the cord. I should mention an added bonus with Plex, I can also view my local channel remotely. Which was a nice because I travel and hate having to filter through the hotel channels. You will need a Plex Pass account.

Cutting the cable can be traumatic. Not being able to record your shows makes it more difficult. My VCR won't take digital broadcast and I'm spoiled with today's quality. This takes care of it and combined with Plex makes setting the record schedule easy.

HD Homerun allows us to have one antenna placed in the optimum location to pick up as many channels as possible. Using WI fi, all our tv's connect through that. Scan for channels through your computer, download the HD app and your up and running. Great picture in HD quality and a very easy to use guide.
