I bought this for a live TV streaming tool for TV's in my home that had Streaming sticks or Roku's so that I could get broadcast TV to places like my Best rooms or Office, or Master bedroom where the cabling just doesn't match up with the arrangement of the room. The device it's self-works great. on the Computer or the Phone. As it was designed. However, I use Plex and the interface only works for the phone. or the computer. The DVR function is great. but the Plex part has a hard time with the live stream even on the Computer. I can stream the same content on the computer great with the native application. Streaming it with Plex. Plex complains about not having good signal. Not being able to display the resolution and other reasons. I am sure the issue is with Plex not the device. but if that is your reason for getting it. this is still early development on the interface. The Android TV I reviewed earlier works great with the interface playing the DVR content. can't stream the live tv any better than the phone or computer. The Plex Roku interface will not allow the live TV streaming. Nor will the Fire TV. those are not short comping of the HomrunHD they re short comping of Plex. but if those are your reasons for buying. Wait. The Tech is not there yet. If your wiling to do everything native on the HomrunHD Only VLC for MAC or the interface for Windows(primary native development) then it works grate. If your planning on getting this for PLEX your going to be disappointed. for a little while longer.

It a Home rerun with HD homer in device! It’s my Dvr!

Good option for cord cutters. It allows me to connect an antenna and connect to my home network to watch shows on another smart tv, phone, or tablet.

I connected an antenna to it and plugged it in, scanned channels on the HDHomerun site, and installed the app on my tablet. Then I was receiving a good clear signal on my tablet. No complaints.

So, all you need is an antenna and a device to capture the content to - I'm using a Plex server. The setup of this tuner was SO easy. It's amazing. It auto detected everything and I was up and recording content within 3 minutes. It's extremely easy to use and the reliability/quality has been wonderful. Highly recommended.

Great device for watching OTA on any network device. The DVR feature will cost you either through HDHomeRun or if you pay for premium Plex. Plex works great but I use it for more than just DVR.

Great product if you want to cut the cord with cable. Installation and setup is very easy and works great with Apple TV 4k.

Got this on sale and I am satisfied. I get local broadcasts fine, within the reach of the antenna, and paired it with the Plex Media Server. Now I can view local media broadcasts and recorded broadcasts throughout the house, or on my phone or tablet away from home, with the one antenna in my bedroom.

This really does the job. Even though there is little pixelation during fast moving images.

I connected this to a simple OTA amplifield indoor antenna and within minutes I had streaming OTA channels on my Apple TV4. You have to use an app like instaTV which is only ok, but it serves the purpose. Got it on sale, so now I have TV in the whole house and it cost me about one month's cost of a cable tv subscription.

I purchased this to add Live TV capability to my Plex Server. Worked like a champ. Now I can watch all my Over The Air programming (50+ channels in the Boston area) right from my AppleTV (coming soon for Roku). Note that PlexPass is required to add LiveTV to Plex. Installation was a breeze. Pretty much plug and play.

Using this and the Channels App on Apple TV, I’m able to pause and rewind LIVE TV. It shows me all of my local channels in a handy guide and also displays what’s coming next! Setup was very simple using a phone or a computer. I highly recommend this for the tech guru looking to trim or cut the cord. I wish I hadn’t waited so long to pick this up!

This is perfect and necessary for cord cutters. Unfortunately it did not work out for me as I could not get a lot of local channnels with an antenna. Instead I bought the HDHR Prime and used a cable cord.

I bought this after finally coming to terms with cutting my cable TV subscription. I am now down to Internet only, and this device coupled with an existing Plex system provides me with all the TV I need to watch (other than Netflix and Amazon Prime). I can receive Over the Air TV anywhere using my smartphone as a client or I can use Plex on my smart TV to do the same.

This is my second one as the first was dead outta the box. Once connected / was a very simple setup and instantly available to all my smart TV in the house.

There is nothing that does what this does but this doesn't do it all that well. Reception is not great and only works on about 1/2 the channels that we can get and the soft ware sucks, but it is better than nothing and does, usually, record the Late show and PBS to let us skip advertisements.

Set this up to be able to stream to a firestick because I cut satellite and the wife wanted to be able to DVR her shows. Works as advertised,

The HomeRun has become my answer to the problem with the TV cable bill getting too high. I transitioned to Roku sticks, but the apps did not consistedly provide local channels/news. With HomeRun I get local channels and when we extended the antenna further into the attic, we get so much more. Great results for a small investment.

Now I wish I had gotten the 4-tuner model because this works so well. It integrates flawlessly with Windows Media Center and works better than a TiVo. I use a couple of tools (MP4 Splitter and WinX HD Video Converter) to strip out the commercials and I now watch my shows whenever I want without commercial interruption. My only regret is not buying the 4-tuner model, and not doing this a long time ago.

I use apps for Windows 10, Android 7.0 TV and Phone, Apple TVOS and iPhone/iPad IOS and all have found the tuners and configured without any issues. Very impressed, so much so that I am going to install another HDHomeRun Connect in order to record even more OTA programming.
