    In general it’s a great little device and I feel it is little overpriced for what it can do. Homerun apps sometimes error out. Also you can not view your live TV from remote or outside of your network unless paying for plex or emby services. I ended up paying for plex account and it’s been working great. Make sure to have a good external antenna

      Because our software does not support remote viewing, we do not advertise it. If you purchased based on remote viewing through our software and there's a link anywhere that says we offer that, don't hesitate to let us know at [email protected]. We'll do our best to remove that incorrect language. You definitely will need a 3rd party app like Plex or Emby for that. With that said, we hope we are a five star product for everything we do advertise!

    Easy setup. Now have the antenna available to all the tv's in the house without running cable. Highly recommend.

    I originally got this to replace my Cable that I was about to cut. But I live in an area that is very cold during the inter so I will have to wait till spring to put up my antenna on my roof. So right now I use it to play my recorded and backed up movies and TV shows. It was very easy to setup on my home network and very easy to play on mt TVs throughout my house. I am very happy with this purchase.

      A QUATRO is an excellent choice to make the main device in the house. Once your family starts watching and recording things, it's definitely great to have 4 free tuners to work with!

      Our tuners immediately show up on the network when plugged in. If you are a 3rd party app user on Plex or Emby, setup really does just take a few seconds!

    This is a great box for people using MythTV or other software that supports the HDHomerun family of tuners. SiliconDust also has their own DVR solution which I haven't tried yet but I've heard is promising. One note - I strongly recommend updating the firmware. Since its original release through March 2018 several important fixes were made to improve tuning and minimize the impact of reception issues.

    Great product. However, having many issues working with plex. The hdhomerun app seems to pull more channels and reliable reception over plex. Which baffles me as they are running on the same network. :/ my xbox has issues as well. Hdhomerun is a little bit glitchy on my xbox. Half the time it says no tuner exist. Other than those small issues it does the job pretty well. 4 stars.

    HDHomerun Tuners are great for cord cutters. Combined with a Fire Stick / Apple TV make cutting the cord easier.

      It's a little known fact that Over the Air TV actually provides the best possible picture for network TV, being the least compressed and most true to the source. That's one of the reasons we are so dedicated to leaving it as pristine and untouched as possible all the way to your view device, TV or tablet.

    Although I really like the concept of these products (I own the SiliconDust HDHomeRun PRIME and CONNECT and now the CONNECT QUATRO), the execution isn't 100%. The streams aren't always smooth and seem jerky at times. I really wish it was easier to get the DVR service as well as a native app on tvOS. The Windows app seems to work fine, the iOS app is a little hokey.

      Thanks for the review. We are always working to improve our apps, so keep an eye out as we move forward to make those things faster and easier. Jerky streams can be result of 3rd party anti-virus software or weak wifi signals. If you have cleared those issues up and still see jerkiness, feel free to contact [email protected]. We may be able to see exactly what's causing the jerky behavior.
