Tough game. Very dark at times as it deals with mental illness in ways a video game hasn't been presented. Some puzzle aspects with plenty of various hacking and slashing moments. Great storytelling.

Fantastic story, fun gameplay, and a team Microsoft believes in to the point they’ve added them as a first party developer going forward. Really though, this is the best game from Ninja Theory yet, and I’m excited to see where they go next.

This is a very deep and slow psychological thriller game. Not lots of gore but it does probe the mind. If you’d like to get deep into the story of a game without too much complexity, by this game. It can be found at a good discount and as an independent make game it is pretty good. Worthy at $40 or less.

Hellblade is a tale of a woman who suffers from a mental illness. While it would've been easy for Ninja Theory to create a game that stigmatizes this illness, they handled it with care, taking the player on an emotional journey through the mind of Senua. Along with the superb storytelling, you'll explore beautiful, sometimes dark & mysterious, landscapes that truly push the Xbox One. If you have an Xbox One X, this looks glorious in 4K/HDR.

The game recommends wearing headphones and you better do it!! The graphics are stunning, the story is interesting, and the voices all over will mess you up. Plus the permadeath makes the game wonderfully scary, too.

This is more of a story driven game and headphones are absolutely recommend. intense and somewhat horror with all the voices. Combat is very simple but smooth and the enemy’s become harder throughout the game.

This is a great game, it is on the shorter side; however, does it ever deliver as far as graphics and story are concerned. This game is a great example of how Indie developers can truly shine.

I've always wanted to play this game since I first heard about it during E3 announcement in '15, but other games or price would keep me from getting it. When I saw this came down to $20, it was a no-brainer and I'm so happy I did. You start off, with very little control mechanics, but the environment this game creates is almost eerie, but intriguing at the same time. It immerses you into the world of Senua and makes you 'feel' the dissonance she is struggling with reality and her mind. It's wonderfully disturbing. If you like action and heavy story-telling type RPGs you'll like / love this game for sure.

This game is a work of art. It's not long and it's not jam packed with goodies but the visuals and story are better than 99% of what's out there.

The graphics and the storyline are amazing. This game keeps you guess on what happens next. The voices to keep playing your head gets very creepy at times.

This game looks awesome on the Xbox One X. It has a unique storyline and style that shows alot of creativity went into development of this game.

A game that everyone should play (and with super immersive headphones). The game is a gem from start to finish, taking you to such dark places and making explosive use of the Xbox hardware. The story, the character, the soundtrack, the sound effects all make Hellblade the best game of the decade. And it only remains to recommend it to whoever can and congratulate the geniuses of Ninja Theroy with applause and ovations.

Amazing graphics and a pretty interesting story line keep you on your toes while playing. Good suspense thrown in for good measure too.
