Building the car is a unique learning experience. The design was well thought with gear ratios that are precise. It is even easy to fix - one of the better sets for simple machines.

This was a great activity to keep kids busy both while building it together and then playing with after. It does have a LOT of small parts and takes some patience to get together. For smaller kids, definitely something you want to let them "help" do rather than trying to do it on their own (unless you like frustration and tears). The instructions were pretty clear...but not perfect. We did have a couple of steps we had to undo and fix and redo. But, it was completed eventually! I did buy this on clearance. I'm not SURE that I would have paid full price for it

The HEXBUG - VEX Robotics Single Gear Racer was given as a birthday present. He loved it. There are alot of small parts so you will need to watch for that.

Was easy to assemble when following the directions and my little one had a great time! Would recommend.

My niece wanted a remote control car for christmas so I got one that we could build!

This toy is like playing with LEGOs and mixing some engineering with it. It’s a little complicated to build. My 9 year old son had to start over before he got it.

My son and me had good time building it. It was hard tough , took us around 2 hours.

My six year old relative saw the item in Best Buy and wanted it for a present. I purchased it with the thought that it would be too advanced for him; however, he proved me wrong and had it up and running - apps and all , in less than 30 minutes.

This was bought for my son, he was wanting this for christmas so I got it since it was not just a toy but something for him to build and then play with. I am hoping that it teaches him something and I think that it will due to this is more a project then a toy once completed.

This is a cool toy. It was pretty challenging for my 10 year old to put together, but not too challenging. It definitely kept his attention without getting him frustrated. He figured it out and had fun doing it. Fun to play with once it's done, too!

Building it was fun. I didn't expected it to be that big. The picture is deceiving. After it's ready, playing with it is not that good. It's not smooth and will go only for about 5 feet.

This product is an excellent way for kids to learn about science and having fun at the same time. Kids build their own experimental vehicle exercising their brain and comprehending the physics laws. Great product!

Takes a good amount of time and if your kid is not one for sitting and reading and paying attention then this isn't for them otherwise once it's done it's totally worth the time it takes.

I purchased this robot for my son, he put all the pieces together easily, however the distance it goes is not very well due to its mechanism. I think it would be better.

I purchased this for son and he enjoyed it. This toy does not need any battery and teaches some mechanical skills.
