Have loved Pikmin games since the GameCube days. This is a side scrolling action platformer with Pikmin characters and locale. Don't expect to plant and "bank" your Pikmin as in past games. It's very fun, though lacks the challenge of past games. That's not necessarily a bad thing, as my wife loved watching Pikmin on consoles but found it too difficult to enjoy. She absolutely LOVES this game on her 2DS, which she bought just to play this game.

Pikmin is an amazing game. Great to have a DS version of one of Nintendo best platforms.

While not as challenging as the Wii versions, this is an entertaining, if somewhat easy, game. One note--there is no 3D for this game. The top and the bottom screen work as one screen, so I guess 3D for just the top screen wouldn't work out well.

Not like original pikmin. It's pikmin as a 2d scroller. It's really fun to play.

If you are expecting a portable, 2D play on the formula of the Pikmin series you wont find it here. Hey! Pikmin is a simple straightforward puzzle platformer with a coat of Pikmin paint on it. The game is slow moving and provides little challenge ( think Kirby game ). The speed and difficulty are both a positive and negative... In moments when you might want to simply interact, and progress Hey! Pikmin can be meditative in that regard. However, if you are looking for something that has some teeth, presents the time pressure and tension present in all main Pikmin games... You won't find it here.

Just like other Pikmin games, use Pikmin to adventure forward.
