Good Transition from the Main Series

Hey Pikmin resembles the main Pikmin series in that you play as a small humanoid alien and you use Pikmin to collect items and attack enemies for you. It's a side-scrolling platformer though, not a three dimensional adventure game. While it's not quite as expansive as the main series feels, Hey Pikmin should be a fun diversion while we wait for Pikmin 4.

My son and love the game, but it’s really short. I rarely finish games, but this one is quick through, even if you try to get everything

This not a traditional pikmin game, but rather a great break from the norm. Olimar and company are back traversing a new planet due to another downed rocket during a trip home. This one is a side scrolling title with great animations and lots of pikmin love. Definitely a good travel title for the DS. One note - no 3D functionality. 3DS and 2DS users will get the same experience.

Pikman fun...but different

If you like pikman you'll probably enjoy this. But don't expect the same depth as the RTS style main series. Think more of a puzzle side scroller. Both my daughter and I have enjoyed it ( her more then me) and it presents challenge to the learning gamer.
If you want the traditional pikman game don't come looking for it here though.

The creator of Mario, DK and Zelda (Shigeru Miyamoto) created Pikmin and is one of my top favorite Nintendo franchises. I've played the others on the Gamecube and Wii U so I was familiar with the actions. I do like playing on the handheld as well for a unique experience. If you are thinking about it, definitely pick it up!

I am glad that Nintendo is supporting this franchise, even if the game looks to play different than others in the series.

Pikmin in 2D is different, but still fun

Hey! Pikmin is weird, as a sidescrolling entry to the franchise. It doesn't quite capture the magic of the normal console games, but it still manages to feel like Pikmin, as well as something new and engaging. It's a fun game, and makes me realize I'm ready for another full fledged Pikmin title.

Decent portable Pikmin game

Not bad for a portable Pikmin game. Like the use of the dual screens. Music is great. Seems like a dumbed down version of Pikmin though. Very linier since it's a 2d side scroller instead of the usual top down open playing field Pikmin games we're used to. Also it does not use 3d effects at all.

My kids and I both love this game, it has all the high quality of Pikmin 1, 2 & 3, but at an easier difficulty level (in a good way, it is less stressful). Very fun and relaxing to play. It is organized in bite-sized levels that are more appropriate for a handheld, on-the-go format. I highly recommend this game to all.

I love the strategy of throwing the Pikmin, I make it a mission to save all the Pikmin on every level. I had a full charge on my DS and played until the battery about died. Definitely a time warp kind of game, where you start playing and 8 hours passes like nothing! Very fun game, would recommend to anyone.

This game is a 2D platformer starring Captain Olimar and the rest of the Pikmin, This title is a slight deviation from the previous three Pikmin games, If you are a fan of the series, or looking for something interesting for your New Nintendo 3DS, give this title a go.
