Awkward to handle for school kids

The bag is heavy & extremely awkward for my daughter to handle and carry. Her books atty school are too heavy and the weight is worse with this bag & has to keep it in her teachers closet, as it won't fit in her locker.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
