Id rate the speaker system itself a 3 out of 5 stars. Sounded great but definitely needed some tuning of mids and highs. Bestbuy made the return process super easy.

The subwoofer leaves a little to be desired. Additionally, DIRECTV does not have hisense as a option for the remote so you have to use two remotes unless you want to buy a universal.

Audio fails to remain stable while switching inputs and certain apps. Poor refinement leads to continuous reboots for the TV to select the appropriate audio profile. Dolby audio sounds good but often reverts to TV mode.

Poor connectivity stability

Unfortunately the audio ears connection constantly resets and reverts back to the TV speakers. When it stays connected it sounds great however it is frustratingly unstable in keeping its connection. You would think a Hisense TV connected to a Hisense soundbar would be the best setup but guess again.

Disappointing ATMOS Option

This is marketed as an entry-level Dolby ATMOS soundbar, but what it really turned out to be is a giant disappointment. The treble seems to have been cranked up for vocal clarity, but it's entirely too harsh and gritty. The midrange to fill in behind the treble is non-existent, and the bass is laughable. I needed to stick my head next to the subwoofer a few times to make sure sound was even coming out. If you're ever in a store, check out the unit yourself - it's just as mediocre there. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra ~$100 for something that offers better quality if you want ATMOS. Otherwise, find something else in this price range, because this ain't it.

While the soundbar certainly delivers in terms of volume and bass presence, it lacks the control over sound quality. The soundbar comes equipped with several preset modes, yet none seem to satisfy my auditory preferences. The primary issue lies in the crossover settings for the subwoofer, which I find to be set too low, while the cutoff appears high. This results in a noticeable void in the lower mid-range frequencies, leading to an awkward listening experience. The bass, although punchy, tends to dominate within its narrow frequency range, often overwhelming rather than complementing the overall sound profile. The only workaround I've found to mitigate this overpowering bass is to reduce its volume, but this feels more like a compromise than a solution. In this case, the absence of discreet equalizer options and a subwoofer crossover adjustment has been a significant drawback. It's disappointing that users are not provided with the means to fine-tune the audio to their liking, especially given the potential of the hardware. In conclusion, if you're considering this soundbar for its ability to get loud and deliver strong bass, it certainly meets those criteria. Not good for the price

I did some research and decided on the Hisense 3.1.2 Atmos soundbar. I’m Glad I did. I have a vaulted ceiling so the ATMOS isn’t perfect. But the sound quality is better than I expected. I would recommend it. Highly satisfied.
