Love this television. Excellent piece at an excellent price. Nobody was able to beat the price of this 40 inch, nor the free shipping. It arrived promptly. It's lightweight. I had no problem setting it up from box to table. Thank you Best Buy!

This TV has a great picture quality, considering its low price tag. I was somewhat skeptical at first, not knowing too much about hisense. I was very satisfied with this purchase and highly recommend this TV for the budget conscious person.

This is an outstanding TV. The picture is true HD, and is crystal clear. The bezel is thin and the TV is light. We're using two of them in the webstreaming room at our church as monitors for our camera feeds, and they work perfectly.

With the expensive TVs coming down every day, I found it harder and harder to continue to tell my son no for a bigger TV for his PlayStation 4. I found this TV and I'm pleased with the picture the size and the cost. Hard to beat for a gaming TV.

This product is good for the cheap price. If I was anyone else, I wouldn't get my hopes up too high. This was an upgrade and a downgrade. I am used to 4K resolution from a Hisense 50" TV which sits beautifully in my family's front room, so the downgrade from 4K to 1080p takes some getting used to. However, I got this to replace the old TV I had in my bedroom (a depressing SDTV with a bulging back that, at most, was pushing out 480i). This was an upgrade. I'm a college student, so I needed something that fit my budget. Up close, the picture is mediocre at best. Slightly blurred background and edges on movie characters. It is standard HD, so you will be able to see some detail on character's faces, but not so much that you could see the specs from their makeup and pores like you would on 4K. I had to optimize my cable box settings from 480i (omg!) to 1080p60. Even with that set, the resolution is still a bit off, but I watch Netflix and Youtube mostly from my Nintendo Wii (which only pushes out 480i at most). However, lucky for me, Netflix sevice updates allow for better upscaled (or compressed) imaging, so making the 480i resolution look like native 1080p. From a distance, the resolution and quality is good. I would recommend to those who, too, are on a budget and looking for something to get by on. But I recommend to anyone interested to save up a little more for something better, or when the time comes, to get a nice cheap 4K TV as it will give you almost the same quality of a high end 4K TV, or go for a different brand like Vizio, LG, Sony or Insignia for better 1080 quality resolution output. Sound and volume is amazing. No sound bar needed, unless you either have a hearing problem or want to go deaf lol. At volume 50/100, I can't even hear myself think, let alone what it would be at 100/100! Right out the box, the picture quality is atrocious, so you need to adjust to your liking. The real test will come when I get my PS4 next week. If it looks esquisite, I'll keep. Take a chance if you want. Again, I recommend to those either on a budget, buying it for the bedroom or the kid's bedroom, or for simplicity. For $169 you can't go wrong. Warning: If you are not planning to mount to a wall, and opting for stand, you NEED a drill to put the legs on. Do not do this by hand. The drill will secure the screws tightly, so no wobbling will occur. They are very difficult to get in the holes and screw in by hand. Doing it by hand is a waste as the screws will turn like 3 times and thats it, leaving the legs extremely wobbly and insecure. Make sure to optimize all connected components (game systems, cable boxes, etc.) to 1080p or highest they can go. Without doing so, the picture those devices give out look aweful upon using the TV. I kept getting very blurry text on the screen (subtitles, etc.) and blurry images. There are a few options for picture: Normal, Wide, Cinema, Zoom Normal gives a square image that would fit like old squared 32" TV (get black bars on the sides of the screen. Yuck!) However, compress the picture to reduce blur. Wide, which is what you will mostly likely use, is the standard screen size for flat screen tv's (use it). Cinema is just aweful in my opinion. I see no use in it. Zoom just scales the picture bigger, which doesn't look too bad, but doesn't look natural either.

I live off the grid on solar with a small generator for backup. This tv draws less power(70 watts max)than any other (40"tv)i found @ the store, and even less than a lot of smaller tvs. Wattage ratings seem to be nonexistant online, and also @ the store. Seems the only way to find an item's power draw is to look at the back of each tv or whatever you are buying,to find the wattage. Thanks to a very helpful and understanding employee, this was made possible,he even helped me look at a few of the wall mounted ones. (i should have brought a small mirror to see the backs of these) This tv has a good picture, the sound is good and also very loud(i usually only have it on "7" to "10" out of 100) and has been great for as long as i have owned it.

Perfect for what I was looking for. Most impressed with the sound (you can hear it clearly at the lowest volume setting). Very light so I would not set it on a cabinet in the family room unless it was protected.

I bought two of these televisions for my deck, and they are really good for any price, being outside I was a little concerned about glare but I have had no issues whatsoever, can't wait for football season to start.

Everything about this TV has been outstanding! My wife and I searched features and specs online with intent to buy a Samsung or LG TV, but for $200's less we could not turn down this TV. I was hesitant to buy at first because I had never heard of HiSense and feared it possibly a low quality knock-off, but I trusted my online research,I am so glad I did!.

I've bought this TV about 2 months ago on sale. Picked it up at the store and have been enjoying it thus far. Great 1080p picture and great sound too. Sound is usually an issue for these TVs and can be weak or tinny. This one is perfectly fine especially for my bedroom. One quirky thing about it is the Power and Source button are the same. I think it's supposed to be a rocker switch but trying to turn off the TV from the button always changes the source instead. I just got used to using the remote to power it off. I have not hooked up a gaming system to this TV, but I suspect it will function perfectly. All-in-all, this is an easy recommend, especially for a bedroom.

I've been looking for a larger TV to replace the 32" we had in our living room. Could not resist the price on this for a 40" screen size. There are three hdmi ports on this so we were able to lose the old switcher and plug in the cable, DVD, and gaming system all at the same time. Was surprised that this model was actually available for the cable remote code so no need to dig out the TV remote when switching around inputs. The screen is crisp and clear and the sound is nice and loud. Overall the total size was not a much larger footprint than the older 32" model as the stand and size of the bezel around the screen were reduced.

I wanted to buy my daughter a LED TV but not very expensive as she didn't need a smart TV. The set was was easy to set uo with her Direct Tv . The sound was great without a sound bar or Surround Sound system. I was really impressed. Picture quality was great for the base model set. Loved the refresh rate. I didn't' notice any lag with picture quality while changing channels. I was able to get a great picture in 1080I. and 720p. For a none smart TV and the price the set is great.
