Hi! The TV does have a power button on the side of the unit. You do not have to use the remote to turn it on.

Got it home opened it up and the screen was busted. No apparent damage to the box at all so I'm not even sure how it got busted. If it was this easy to damage it can't be very durable.

I bought this tv to specifically use the xfinity (beta) app to watch our recorded shows & xfinity cable without having to pay for another box rental. Between the tv that drops the wifi and the app that is not polished, it was useless for that. It sometimes drops off when watching live tv on abc & NBC & espn apps. Netflix & hbo go work perfect. We just use it for Netflix and hbo go now.

The TV wifi didn't work day 1. Had to take it back to swap and get one that did. Everything has been great.

Picture Quality great. Roku was new to me and took some time figuring out how to use. It is designed to be easy. The younger generation probably has no problems at all. :-) I wish the remote had more options than just for Roku. Having to switch between remotes is a bit irritating. But that is the only thing I do not like. It is the best for all your streaming and really easy once you get hang of it and picture quality great.

I really did not get along with this tv at all I was very unsatisfied with it so I did return it right way. You had to always do special things you could not just turn on and it would start playing. The picture was good though

Bought this 40" unit for bedroom use. The picture is very good, sound is good, and I really like the Roku TV menu/operating system. I can work through the menu/playing selections quickly without much of a delay. Using this with a dish hopper/joey setup. You can go to menu settings under power and set it to come up with the satellite, ota, or last used input. Makes things very easy to set up. It has wireless but no ethernet. Wifi connection was without an issue. My signal goes through 3 closets,entertainment cabinet, and 3 walls and has not lost connection yet.

So disappointed. Wanted to surprise my husband with a wall-mount TV when he returned from an overnight trip. Picked up TV at store, paid installer to deal with wall-mount, then TV has two splotches of what I can best describe as looking like firecrackers when the TV is turned on, one approximately 2-1/2" and the other about 1" in diameter. Now I guess I'll have to pay installer to come back, take TV down, repack it and take it back to the store. Bummer.

I have 4 Roku's, 2 different stick models and also a Roku 3 & 4. all of which I have been very happy with. However, I was very disappointed with my first purchase of a Roku TV. The overall performance which I felt was rather slow. I returned this the following day because ultimately I found the noise, the hum from the unit was intolerable.
