Android TV is as good as the Roku I have been using. It just takes a little bit of time to get used to the differences. Nice, bright picture. The only "minuses" would be, there are not as many settings to "fiddle with" as on my Samsung (although I hope this TV lasts longer than the 3 years my Samsung did) Overall, I am very pleased.

It can get really slow when using it after using it got just a few hours and usually needs to be unplugged completely and sit for awhile before it runs again. A few of the apps are a little finicky at times, as well. Sometimes you’ll be watching a show or movie and it just stops in the middle of it and goes back to the home page.

Sure the picture is fine but it can't even run apps smoothly. Streaming services lag, making it unbearable to watch. This happens over Wi-Fi or Ethernet. I have several smart TVs, even Android tvs, and none of them have such intense problems so consistently. I promise you the people rating this TV well simply haven't used it much, or they just got it. Out of the box it was acceptable. I have used it somewhat regularly for six months and it is now a paperweight. If you're into Plex or Jellyfin, this TV can't decode all but the most basic codecs. I have enabled developer options, reduced animation time, reduced the number of background apps to zero. This thing is absolutely garbage, I made an account just to save you the hassle. It's getting relegated to a dumb TV with a Roku plugged into HDMI. It even sucks at that btw- taking over a minute just to power up and switch to HDMI 1. Bottom line is spend 50 more bucks, it's well worth your sanity. Otherwise gift it to someone you hate, it's perfect for that.
