Locked up any time you wanted to use anything other than cable tv. (Netflix, YouTube, amazon for examples) It was (yes was, only lasted two years before just randomly dying on me) the worse TV I've ever owned. Spend the extra few bucks on something else. I was watching TV and it randomly cut off. Hasn't cut back on since.

I'm 70 years old and have bought MANY TVs over the years, usually the major brands like Samsung or LG. I tried this one because I wanted something inexpensive to go with our treadmill. I was skeptical at first, but I'm VERY impressed. The picture is gorgeous, especially after I adjust some settings. The "instant on" option is wonderful; just click the remote and it instantly comes on. Since we're Roku people, the default Roku home screen is really nice.
I think the Chinese got tired of helping everybody else get rich, and started building TVs themselves for the US market. Say what you want about Chinese vs. American products, but with this TV, they really nailed it. I would buy another one in a heartbeat.

Tv picture is great but the sound has constant static sound. Purchased this tv less than month ago and do not love the sound quality. I’d love to exchange it hoping it is just a defective tv.

I bought the Hisense 39” Smart Tv from Best Buy. The crazy thing freezes up so often that I had to plug it into an extension cord so that I can more easily cut its power source to restart. I wish I would have paid the extra $100 and got a different brand.

I purchased this tv back on 10/2018 & exactly 3 years later (10/2021) it randomly stopped working. The TV was completely dead, waste of money.
