Don’t purchase this product. Item was purchased on 11/24/21 and given as a Christmas gift for our children on 11/25/21. Actual usage time of this television has been intermittent over a 2 month period of time. Now there are vertical lines passing through the screen on the right hand side of the screen. The screen has failed after a VERY SHORT period of time. I have sent in the issue to Hisense and have not received a response. Bottom line is this television should not have this issue/defect this early on. You really do get what you pay for.

Started making lines across the screen after a year! That’s unacceptable for a TV that cost me $325! I’ll never buy it Hisense again. See the picture. Nice huh?

Best 4k HDR 43” I could find especially for the $

Seems good to me. I’ve been looking for a good 43” 4k. I first bought a tcl 5 series that looked great but was too large for my space (50”). I returned that and got the 43” Sony x800h which looked great on display in the store but the contrast looked terrible after I got it home and the lighting changed.
I then waited for this to come out and bought it immediately, I haven’t calibrated the tv but it’s definitely in between the other two I tried. I think the tcl 5 series looked slightly better, but this hisense looks much much better than the Sony.
My biggest concern was long term reliability since hisense isn’t known for reliability but because the price is so much lower than the Sony it was a no brainer to get the 5 year plan with Best Buy.
The Android tv setup was pretty simple and I didn’t have any freezing or lagging issues like the other reviewer mentioned, however I should point out that I use a 4k Roku or PC primarily so I’m not using the built in smart features very often.
I do really like the look of the borders of the tv, the panel is raised above the plastic around the top and side edges giving a really subtle but modern look.

43" Hisense A6G - A good picture and value

Bought this Hisense 43" A6G about a month ago. Overall, it is a good television and good value for the price paid. I have two other Hisense televisions that I am very happy with which is why I bought this one. I was a bit disappointed to learn when I set the television up that the software said A4 and not A6 but all of the connections verify that it is an A6 because the connector options are different on the A4. It was very simple to set up and get going. The apps work exactly as they should and I use YouTube TV, Amazon Prime, and Netflix the most and the apps are very easy to download and work as they should, the first time after download. I still have to figure out how to calibrate the colors to make it exactly as I want, but the out of box picture is very good and certainly acceptable and I don't think you will be disappointed with this television.

The A6 does not disappoint with its picture quality. This TV replaced an older 1080P TV, and there is significant improvement in the quality of the video. The initial setup was a breeze, the interface with Google really sped things up. All the instructions were very clear, stands went on without an issue and all interfaces worked very well. I was also impressed that the interface through Google was able to pick up my existing Wi-Fi, so no need to input password.
I have been using ROKU with all my TVs for the past 5 years. All of my content is streamed, my primary service is YouTube TV (YTTV), with Netflix, Prime, etc. as secondary. I set this one up using the built in Android TV interface and I am pleasantly surprised with the interaction. I can use the Hisense supplied remote on YTTV and the channel up and down buttons actually work. That is a very pleasant surprise.
The audio is crisp, but seems to lack a bit of depth and bass. Since this TV is in a bedroom, I do not plan to add a soundbar, it is not critical.
When I compare this to my main TV which is a high end QLED, there is a noticeable difference in picture quality, that it to be expected with the vast price difference. For a TV that was $300, this is a great deal. Value wise it is a strong recommend. Overall, I would rate this TV as a 9 out of 10. I could have spent twice or much as much for a high end TV, but for this application the Hisense is a great product for the money.

Awesome TV for the price. I had to decide between this and a 43" Toshiba. I went with the Hisense. The TV is taking the place of a 27" computer monitor. I also have my PS4 Pro connected to it. PS4 Pro games that support HDR (such as Uncharted 4) look very, very nice. The manual, like most these days, gets you as far as getting the TV plugged in and and powered on. It's kind of on you to figure the rest. Another thing: I don't know why with so many TVs today, you have to go into input settings (per HDMI connection) and turn on HDR or Advanced HDMI or whatever each manufacturer uniquely calls it, thus allowing you to to take advantage of HDR. Even after turning this on for the PS4 Pro HDMI port, in the TV's settings > Help > Signal Information, HDR was still showing NO. However, the PS4 Pro's video settings was seeing the TV that it supported HDR. Once I finally started to a game that supports HDR (like Uncharted 4) and enabled HDR for that game, THEN the TV's Signal Information showed HDR. Just an FYI for those who aren't sure if they're truly experiencing their content in HDR.
Nice remote. Love the Android functionality. Works great over wifi. Black backgrounds look very dark (with the picture setting set to Vivid), and I'm having a difficult time trying to find any of that nagging screen-door effect. In other words, the picture looks as rich as a plasma!
Very pleased with this purchase!

Hello all,
This tv was great for a year and a half. Not an exceptional quality of picture, but much better than 1080p for sure. You will notice the difference if you’re switching out from an HD picture. Other than that there aren’t too many special characteristics on this tv. Remember though, it’s a budget tv so no bells and whistles with the technology. While it worked, the picture, in general, was decent enough for me, but if you’re into a lot of movies or gaming, if you can, I would consider upgrading to a tv with better technology. Recently, my tv picture would not turn on. If I pressed the power button on the remote the tv would blink 3 times, twice, then stop.I just dropped it off at Best Buy and they’re sending it out for repair. I have the Geek Squad Protection Plan so I didn’t have to pay anything extra. I hope this helps people.

I've owned this TV for over 2-years now, and so far it's holding strong. I can access the internet, play games, and watch streaming serviced content on it. It's 4k and very slim, so I definitely recommend it.

About the Best in Class / Price Point

I'm giving this a 5 considering price point and competition. 4.5 would be better, but I have recently bought one TCL, and one Visio tv, and this one is the best of the three. TCL is a complete no go - bad wifi range and hard to use cheap controller that doesn't want you using plug in cable company and has a bright blue light that comes on once you turn the tv off. The Visio is OK but the software is glitchy especially when using YouTube Tv. This tv is easy to use, and easy to cast to. The picture isn't as bright as some other tv's I own, but it's a quality picture that you can adjust to some extent.. There is a bright red light that comes on when this tv is turned off,, Not sure why that occurs with these cheaper tv's, but prepare to use electrical tape at the bottom of the tv if you're going to keep it in a bedroom. Other than that, good tv for the price.

This is a pretty nice TV. Android operating system works pretty well and the picture is very nice. One small complaint though. I've had this TV about four months and I have already had probably three times where the remote will not operate the TV. It never seems to stop working when it's already operating. But once in a while it just won't turn on. So you have to unplug it for 60 seconds to do a hard reset and then it works. If this continues, I will probably request a warranty replacement.
