Overall this tv has a ton of features for the price. I did have to exchange it because of an issue with the screen having a blemish on the bottom left corner. Wasn't terrible in dark scene but when it had a bright white or solid color it was very noticeable. I attached a picture if you can see it. I tried living with just so I didn't have to mess with going to the store to exchange it. The replacement one has been great with no screen issues. Android TV is nice and the app selection is great. I like that if you are in a ppnlile Hulu and you turn the TV off, once you turn it back on you are still in the app. HDR works well too. This was the reason I updated my tv was to get time with HDR. Sound is ok on par with most TV's in this range. Remote has a mic so you can ask Google to play something or check the weather. The overall picture quality is good, I don't think it's as good as my 43" TCL but it is certainly good fore the money. Overall this is a very good value tv.

I purchased this as a secondary TV for mostly playing video games on my Xbox one x. This TV delivers HDR in 4K at 60 hz. Many in this size do not. The other aspect of this TV is the sound. My other 43” tv had to have a sound bar, but this one sounds great.

I usually don't leave reviews but I find that it might be necessary with this TV. The Good: It has a excellent picture once you tweak it a bit to your personal liking. The Bad: Oh my is the TV slow to respond to commands. My unit shipped with a faulty remote that Hisense did replace. The IR part of it did not work but the Bluetooth did. Android on this TV is almost useless. It is slow to respond most of the time. I have had to factory reset this TV about twice a week since I have owned it. Whatever CPU they have in it is severely underpowered. There isn't enough RAM either. I added four apps to the TV after I bought it (Plex, HDHomerun, Disney+ and HBO Max) which slowed it down to almost wanting to pitch it out the window. I uninstalled a bunch of apps that came with the TV because it was so slow. Didn't help not one bit. The only way I would recommend buying this TV is the price and using a separate device that has Android on it or whatever you use to stream your media. Hopefully I will have someone from Hisense get back to me about my issues with this unit. Oh I almost forgot the worst thing. When I opened the box it smelled like there had been a electrical fire inside it and the TV still smells that way just not as bad as when I first took it out the box. I thin I've gotten used to it.

Even before I purchased this TV I was surprised that they were offering a tv at this price with all the features it has. Given that it is 4K with HDR10 and Dolby Vision as well as great Dolby virtual x audio, it is a great TV for the price. Also it even comes with android tv which works seamlessly with my google home mini. Although android tv is less easy to use than roku or amazon fire tv, it still gives great functionality and quality for the price. Would highly recommend if looking for a less expensive 4K tv.

I've admired my fiancé's 55" 2017 Hisense tv for some time. I figured the 4K could only be better ... it doesn't disappoint, picture and sound quality far exceeds our LG 4K, lots of features that are easy to navigate and use ... I intend to buy another larger quantum from them as well . Only down side is the housing plastic does feel a bit chinsey

So within like 2 months of me buying it, the screen started to pop out on the right side. Even though I did literally nothing to it and this happened on its own, both warranty's I got for this no longer worked. When a connection issue happens with the internet, the only way to solve it is completely turning it off then back on. Even with a full battery, there are plenty of times the remote won't register and I have to completely unplug the TV for it to reconnect. There are times at night where I'm watching something and the TV will start to constantly go back to the home screen on its own. And lately in the middle of the night, it turns itself on for no reason. Do yourself a favor and buy literally any other smart TV.

Coming from a 6+ year old 32" 720p TV, this was a fairly substantial upgrade. Went with this over the Korean options because of the non-proprietary OS, Dolby Vision, more HDMI ports, and the price. First impressions: the TV looks great with thin bezels and it is easy to get stands set up. Shallow 8" depth fit perfectly on our mantel. Also has good wall mount options. Remote isn't backlit or glow-in-the-dark, but gets the job done. G Assistant works reasonably well once remote is paired over BT. The biggest difference of course was the resolution: HD/FHD content looks great, but when I can find 4K HDR content its pretty mind blowing. That being said, my old TV (a Panasonic, with IPS panel and CCFL backlight) seemed brighter and more vivid. The colors look better when tweaked, but I was disappointed with the brightness of this TV. Increasing the backlight level just makes the image washed out, rather than brighter. Blacks are very black though, which is nice, but read the fine print for the backlighting on this TV. I bought this with the assumption that "Full array" backlighting implied local dimming, but this is not the case (my mistake). As a result backlighting is basically the same as the "Direct" backlighting that competitors have. As for the fake 120hz mode, I have no use for it and would rather it not exist, but fortunately it doesn't seem to be affecting any content so far. Sound wise, I was pleasantly surprised by the sound quality. Out of the box, it's absurdly loud at low levels and the Google Assistant will be deafening. I found that enabling the "Tru-Volume" setting gives you what I would consider normal volume functionality. The "Tru Bass" setting also adds some natural-sounding mid-low end response, but like the Tru-Volume mode it shouldn't exist as an option, it should have just been the default. As far as the interface, there was a nice performance improvement over the 1st gen Fire Stick we were using. That said, it's still slow, and particularly buggy with Hulu. The first few days I would set things in the menu and they would randomly revert back. The menus in general lack detail and control, and I was disappointed that many options that I was looking for (like enabling/disabling the fake 120hz mode) don't exist in the menus. There zero explanation of what each setting does or means in the menus or in the online "manual," so there's a lot of guesswork involved. As other reviews mentioned, the fact that the TV has a meager 4.3GB of storage (when 16GB flash drives cost $4) is a massive oversight. With only a few apps installed I already got a warning to "remove excess apps," however this was easily fixed by clearing the app cache. All in all, I don't regret going with this Hisense, it's proved to be a nice upgrade over our old TV and offers a lot of good features for a price that's easy to justify. Just don't expect the polished user experience of more well-known brands.

I wanted to have some time with the TV before I did a review. So far, I'm enjoying it. On the positives - the picture is very lovely, especially with vivid as the option. Because it's based on Android, the ability to download apps is great, which was a huge deal for me getting rid of my previous Fire edition TV and getting this one instead. I had been worried about the storage, as it's only 4GB, but after installing all of the apps I wanted, it actually only takes up about a gig and I can disable some unwanted apps (unlike my Amazon FIre TV), which also helps to cut down on storage. Now for the negatives - speaking of storage, adding a large thumb drive did NOT help in anyway and not in the way the internet reviews said it would. I wanted something along what my pervious Android phones would do, where I could turned the external storage into internal storage. Despite trying to do this repeatedly, it NEVER worked. I either have 64GB as an external or no space what so ever when trying to use as an internal. I also have a sound issue - I have to turn the sound up very loudly for some programs and down for others. I had this same problem on the Fire TV, so I have no idea why this is happening. There's also a considerable lag sometimes when either coming on or coming out of an app. A few days it was really bad where it literally froze a number of times and I had to unplug it and plug it back in. I recently had a system update so hopefully that will fix it. Not a negative per se for this, but a definite request - the one thing I love about the Fire TV was the channel guide. It grouped my three live streaming services (Pluto, Sling, and Philo) into one guide. I could choose my favorite channels and then select them from that guide. They would open in their perspective apps, but it was great not having to go through each app just to see all the channels (this is especially true with Pluto, which has over a 100 channels) I hate that there's nothing like this on Android. The live channels app and channel plus are useless, as it's focus is for people who are using antennas, which I'm not. Honestly, that ability alone would cancel some of the negative aspects for me.

I got this Hisense 4k LED TV to replace an old 32" Samsung 1080P LCD in our upstairs sitting room. It's not my primary TV and this is definitely a value priced TV so my expectations weren't the highest. The picture quality improvement was immediately noticeable. It's certainly not quite as brilliant as our primary TV (LG OLED), but I expected the gap to be much greater than it was considering it was just about 2 years ago that I spent almost 10x what the Hisense TV cost me! The audio too was better than expected, although I've never had a flat panel TV that couldn't benefit from at least a soundbar and this Hisense unit is no different. I love that this model has Android TV (with Chromecast) built in for it's smart features. I have yet to find a more convenient and comprehensive streaming solution that gives access to every app I want to use. I've always had to rely on some combination of my PS4, Fire TV, or brand-specific Smart OS to access all the streaming apps I wanted. Since Android TV has access to the Google Play store, it is the first time I am able to stream every service I want including: YouTubeTV, HBO Max, Showtime, Hulu, Peacock, Movies Anywhere, Vudu, FandangoNow, RedBox, and of course Netflix and Amazon Prime The remote features a mic for voice commands and while I'd always appreciate more HDMI ports, this Hisense unit has three - which his fine since the Smart features are robust enough to not need to attach any streaming box. The one knock - and it is a significant one - is the hardware that runs the Android operating system. It is slow, laggy, and glitches quite a bit. It's like trying to run a contemporary Android build on a first- or second-gen Galaxy smartphone. Apps occasionally crash and drop to the home screen while cycling through menus. The cursor will stop moving while entering letters in search screens. More than once I've had to pull the plug on the TV after it wouldn't even power off using the remote. I experience these little glitches, at least the minor lag and slowdown, probably half the time I watch this TV. This would absolutely be a deal breaker for me if this was my primary TV, but I only watch it maybe 1-2 times a week so I'm not going to rush out to replace it...but my infrequent use is also why I didn't realize the extent of these issues until well beyond the return date.

Pros: TV has an excellent picture & sound as well as a very easy to navigate operating system. It also has the ability to download every app you might want or need. The cromecast makes it super easy to view your phone/ tablet/ or laptop on screen. You can even purchase a game remote and play games you download on the tv itself. It also has Alexa & google assistant built into it with a mic built into the remote, however i have not used this feature yet but i love google assistant on my smart speaker so once i get a new phone and link them together it's going to be awesome! Cons: The tv freezes up on screen every once in awhile or the remote will completely stop working, however just unplug it and plug it back in it goes back to working fine. Happens maybe once a week. The only other issues I have with it is it's limited storage to download and run apps off of & finally it could use a few more usb ports to plug other devices into it. Overall a great budget tv, perfect to the person new to using smart devices.

The graphics are great and has good sound but the Operating System runs terribly. Slow response time on all screens, takes forever to boot up. It also rarely responds to power on buttons on any remote or the physical chassis(which was impossible to find, its under the red light fyi), so i have to unplug and replug it in for it to turn on. I bought a roku stick to use as the OS instead, which runs perfect on it. Only buy this tv if its on sale for next to nothing and you already have a way to stream. It is light weight for its size, so that’s also a pro i guess.

For under $250 I cant complain. You have to really get into the settings and calibrate the pictures....it's a 60hz tv and it's ok for PC use...HDR works fine and the AndroidTV works great which is the best part. The picture is not good out of the box. Once you calibrate it....then it's great! It is set to energy saving mode by default so it may feel sluggish....take this off and youll see a difference. Make sure to check for updates as well...but like I said for $250 out 1-10 I give this a 8
