Good product I liked That's Hisense - 50" Class - LED - H8F Series - 2160p - Smart - 4K UHD TV with HDR

Looking for anew TV best buy had a model that would work great quality & price got just what I needed.

Bought the tv on a whim as the pandemic was kicking in full gear. Its OS home screen was laggy since day 1 and updates havent really changed that. Panels bug out and get to dark or to bright all the time save yourself the money and invest in a proper 4k tv.

So far I've really enjoyed the crisp display this TV provides. Unfortunately the processor in the TV is far too slow to handle Android TV especially if you want to watch 4K content on Netflix or YouTube. It just chugs and stutters a lot. I feel like with a good processor upgrade this would be a formidable TV. But its held back and likely will be returned.

Over the years I have upgraded TV s multiple times, each time they get smarter and the picture gets better. So when I was offered the chance to test out the newest Hisense H8F, 4K Smart TV with Android TV built in I jumped at the opportunity. Set up was pretty easy. I just installed the stand using the 4 included screws, plugged it in, and followed the on screen prompts. Utilizing my phone I was also able to sync it to my google account with no issues whatsoever. About 7 years ago, I was an early adopter of Android TV. I loved how well it worked but it was killed off due to limited applications. Here we are in 2019, its back and better than ever. While using the TV, I was extremely impressed with how many apps that are now available and how well they worked. Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, Plex, Nest, Arlo... All worked great. As for picture and sound performance. The TV allows you to either tune it to your preferences or use a built in picture mode. In any of the picture modes the TV was nothing less than amazing! My favorite picture mode is "theater day." When it came to sound, you can to chose your own sound modes. They all sounded good, the best sound mode in my opinion is "music." The google assistant remote control was comfortable and easy to use. It also allowed you to access your google assistant on the TV. It was a little slow to respond but when it did it worked great. I absolutely love this TV and When it comes to price, features, picture and sound quality, you will not be disappointed.

Let me start off by saying this this TV is super fragile or rather the screen; I know other reviews have comments on this as there is a warning as soon as you open the box. I had it shipped to my house and it was damaged when I took it out of the box. Needless to say, I was nervous about getting the replacement out when it came, as I didn’t want to be the one responsible for breaking a brand new tv. The TV itself doesn’t feel cheap; the body is solid, but lightweight and sturdy. Just be careful to not put any pressure on the screen. Once out of the box, it is a great TV. Physical set up - all you need is a Phillips screwdriver to put the feet of the TV on, and plug the power cable in. This is my second Android TV; the Google set up is simple to follow to get running. I feel like the Android/Google operating system has come a long way in the last few years. I have another, more expensive TV in my house with the same system and this one just seems to run smoother and have a clearer layout that is very customizable. It comes four HDMI ports, two USB ports, a LAN and ANT/Cable inputs, as well as AV IN and digital Audio out. One thing I’m not used to see was a headphone jack - I did hook up my headphones to the TV, it was a little awkward, but I wanted to try it out. It has a nice picture - although I don’t think it’s as crisp as I’ve seen on other TVs; I don’t want to judge it too harshly though, because the picture is still very nice. I tested it out with streaming (Netflix, YouTube TV, and Hulu), I also cast to the TV, as it has a built in Chromecast, which is nice, because it isn’t taking up one of the HDMI ports. I also hooked up our Switch to it to test the picture when it came to gaming. Overall, I was very pleased with the picture and wouldn’t complain about it. It’s not the crispest picture, but it is clear. The speakers that come on the TV are nice - no twang when you turn it way up. Overall, I’d say this a very nice smart TV that gives you 4K ability - the price point isn’t crazy, so really it’s a good option for a lot of nice features and picture.

The best under $500 4k you can buy. It is by far best in its class

I researched carefully before deciding to buy this for my daughter’s birthday about three weeks in advance. I noticed many reviews at Best Buy and Amazon mentioned broken screens discovered upon unboxing, but the other reviews were so good I decided to take a chance. Sure enough, opened the box on my daughter’s birthday and unpacked the TV carefully (as emphasized by many reviews) only to find a badly cracked screen. Brought it back to Best Buy immediately. Kudos to the manager at the Nashua, NH store for accepting a return after the 14 day return window. There were no more of these TVs in stock at any nearby Best Buy stores, so we ended up downsizing to a TCL 43S425, which seems to be pretty decent in its own right. My advice: Check the screen for damage before leaving the store.
