Great price for good 50" LED TV. We were looking for a second tv for the bedroom. The picture and features out shine our 4 year old 60" TV which cost us over $3000 back then. Everything works as advertised and setup was a breeze.

We have owned this TV for about 1.5 years. The first few months were fine and the picture is good for the price. But I have had nothing but problems with the operating system since about 6 months into the purchase. I have had to factory reset several times. The TV will not recognize my soundbar unless I mute and unmute the tv. Apps will randomly sign out. The TV has super slow response times and is very laggy. It will also occasionally restart at random.
I would not buy this TV again nor would I recommend it to a friend. I will not be buying Hisense TV's in the future.

I am really impressed with the upscaling of the HD programs to nearer 4K. Some sample 4K programs on Netflix are absolutely awesome on this TV. The android operating system of this TV is a bonus to me. Can't wait for more programs and streamed media to be broadcast in 4K. Really is a bargain for a 50" 4K TV at $350.

I don't have other tv to compare it with but I have to say the picture quality is pretty good. Sound is fine as well and loud. There are things you may want to turn off like motion enhancement especially if you use this tv for movies and TV shows.
One con I have about this tv is the prime video app. The only way to have it is through side-loading it. It's easy to do at least for me but the videos (Amazon 4k UHD videos) never play in 4k...the maximum I get is 1080p which bugs the heck out of me lol. Quality is still great but not having that 4k UHD showing up on screen drives me nuts.
For the price, I don't think you can get a better deal than this and I recommend this tv.

Awesome Tv with great color and motion settings. Blacks are really dark and colors, red, green, blue etc. really pop. Excellent style with very thin bezel and actual metal parts, not just plastic.

I’m not too particular about my TV, as I really don’t watch it much at all. My previous Hisense was very good, so I purchased another. This pretty much fell out of the box and hooked itself up to the internet, it was that easy. Everything works as expected, picture is clear and crisp. The store associate, Fletcher, was very helpful with my decision.

I am not tech savvy. That was my husband's area of expertise. Now, as a widow, I'm working hard to catch up. Setting up this television really was as simple as my nephew assured me it would be. I'm still figuring a few things out, but it's working!

For the price its great. its not the highest end tv around but it does the job with some nice features that others in the price bracket lack. Picture is great, occasionally is a little slow switching thru the apps.

First purchased this TV in 2018 as my first 4K tv when I was in college and was very impressed with the tv quality. Majority of my use then was Netflix and I always just used the app on the tv itself or using my PS4 plugged in. I remember the picture quality being near perfect straight out the box. No need for any adjustments or any hassle just watched right away. The only issue I had then was that the incorrect screw size came for one of the tv stands leg, so I had to order it online which wasn’t that big of a deal. Well 2 years later I decided to purchase this exact same tv again for my bedroom as I was impressed with the picture quality. Well this time im nothing but disappointed as the picture quality seemed very off and now where near what what my experience was 2 years ago. I noticed some of the packaging looked different but it’s the exact same tv model. Not sure if anything was changed overtime but if so it was made worse. The apps on the tv open up very slowly. The tv turns on very slowly and gives 0 indication it’s actually starting up after you see the 2 red flashes at the bottom of the tv once you power it on with the remote, but then it’s just a waiting game. The Netflix app is very laggy opening up/closing and in terms of just scrolling through the shows. When I plugged in my PS4 again the picture quality was just completely off to the point I don’t even know how to explain, I’m not a compete tv nerd so I don’t know the terms but it isn’t anywhere near what I saw 2 years ago on supposedly the exact same tv model. The tv doesn’t appear broken or defective, but the picture quality is just junk regardless of how much you play with the settings. The Bluetooth on this tv is also just another laggy/slow feature. I like to use my beats headphones or AirPods Pro to watch shows at night but I have to manually pair them literally Everytime I turn on the tv. Most modern electronics today automatically remember the last Bluetooth device you were paired with and connect itself, but this tv doesn’t.. exchanging this tv for a better 4K HDR that’s worth my money

Hello Dave, Thank you for your interest in the 50H8F. We're sorry to hear that you are not pleased with the picture quality and the television being slow. This model television was manufactured and released in 2019 so this would be a different unit from the one you initially purchased. Not to worry we will be more than happy to assist with finding a resolution for the issues you are having. There are a few settings that we would be able to adjust on the unit for you to have a better viewing experience. You can also try checking for a software update for the television to resolve the lagging issue.
At your earliest convenience, please reach out directly to our support team at [email protected], 1-888-935-8880, so we can find the appropriate solution.
We look forward to hearing from you!

Excellent model for the sub 400.00 price point. 4K is good, motion is good and having Android TV is a bonus. Input can sometimes feel laggy, but I would not let it dissuade you from buying. I think this is a great value, for the money.

Best bang for your buck here. This unit easily beats most TVs twice its price. This is one powerful machine for the price. You get what you pay for. It’s got less than perfect viewing angles, sound quality is... let’s just say you’ll need a sound bar with most TVs under a couple thousand and this is no exception. But what you get is one tremendous picture for the price. Just make sure you’re viewing strait on in a dark room for max effect. Seriously, this TV with its local contrast cannot be beaten at this price.
