Best 4k TV in its Price Range

Originally I was looking for Small to Medium sized (40"-43") Budget TV for my Master Bedroom. After doing a few days of research I decided on getting a 4K Vizio TV. When I got to Best Buy I was not impressed with the overall Picture Quality and the depth/thinness of the TV. Also there are so many models to choose from D,E,M and P. The D, and E Models were closer to my budget but they Lacked HDR (High Dynamic Range) I asked the Salesman did he have something equivalent and he showed me something BETTER. He said it was 4K with HDR and it’s a 50" HISENSE for $499. I said box it up! I am really impressed with the overall Picture quality the built in speakers are wonderful. I appreciate how responsive the remote is when navigating through the countless apps. Sometimes I find myself just playing games on the TV. I spent about 4.5X this price on my Samsung Smart TV and have not enjoyed nearly as much. The Only Con that I can think of is the App experience is very lacking.

We were looking for a 4K HD TV and the reviews on this were fantastic. The price was within our budget too. We talked to several of the knowledgeable BestBuy blue shirts who told us that the Hisense brand was just getting started here in the USA - in Europe, it's already quite popular. We are so happy that we bought this. We chose the 50" class and the picture quality is amazing. Old black and white films are even more crisp and clear. Set-up was a breeze and the set is not so big that we couldn't do it ourselves. Even though we plan to eventually mount the TV on the wall, an added bonus is the set has the 2 legs for added stability rather than a center pedestal. We love our new purchase!

Hisense 55” is a great TV, we purchase 4-tv with amazing color, sounds are awesome and with the technology it’s worth it. We recommend friends and family to get it and our next sets of TV will do the same.

The price for this 4k TV is amazing for the picture it delivers. The Smart features are great and easy to access from the remote. I think the picture is a good as TVs I viewed in the store costing hundreds more. We've had it now over 30 days and we keep saying, "I can't believe how good the picture is!"

It's now been a year since I bought this TV and I have nothing but good things to say! Absolutely the best quality for your money. Crisp picture and smooth upscaling. Fast start up and you can get into your apps quickly without waiting for it to connect to the internet like on our Sony. Extremely thin bezel so you're never distracted from the movie/tv. Originally we bought it for a spare bedroom, but it looked so good, we replaced our LG with it in the living room. Would buy again!

I'm more than satisfied with my purchase. I had the intention of spending more to get a 4k television but was surprised by the great depth of color and detail of the Hisense model on display. I went home and read some reviews of this model and decided to buy it. The price was much less than other 4k tvs so I didnt hestitate any longer. I had enough left over to purchase a very attractive base with an integrated hanger. I should mention this tv has a very narrow viewing angle. Do not buy it if you have a large room with wide viewing angles from the sides.

The hisense 50H8C has been impressive. The picture is fantastic. The remote has several buttons on the bottom side. One will take you directly to Netflix, another to YouTube. There are also buttons for Amazon or Vudu. The mounting is standard. It mounted right up to the old bracket from my Samsung. (Stopped turning on) #not recommended:)

Nice clear picture. Many included apps. I really like the Qview where you can share pictures and videos from your phone to the tv. The 4 year in home warranty is what made our decision to buy easy choice.

Great big screen for the price. I'm glad to report that after 13 months the screen failed. Vertical and horizontal lines. Customer service says warranty doesn't apply. I have 6 other flat screens Vizio and Samsung and 1 insignia. I'd go back to Vizio and Samsung honestly because I know for years now not one problem.

Best 4K Smart TV I have Ever Seen!

I have bought a lot of TVs from Best Buy over the years (12 in the past 7 years) I love the latest improvements and the biggest screens I can get so I upgrade frequently and pass on my older TVs to my friends or sell them on Craigslist to recoup some of the cost of my latest toy. But this is a TV that I will not be passing on. It has everything that you could want in a beautiful, thin, light package. I bought an inexpensive full motion wall mount and hung this great Hisense 50" TV in my bedroom. It is so light and thin I felt confident that even a lightweight bracket would hold it securely and I was right. This TV has, by far, the best picture I have ever seen. The 4K HDR picture delivers incredible detail, fantastic color range, deep blacks and perfect motion response! You will be amazed at the quality! The sound is quite good with the built-in speakers and Dolby/DBX system - I doubt that you will need a supplemental sound bar. But the smart features really make this the perfect TV, It has Netflix, Amazon, Vudu, YouTube and a wide variety of other apps built in. And the WiFi connects easily and securely to your router, bringing you a solid streaming experience. The remote gives you direct access to the more popular apps (Netflix, Amazon, YouTube, Vudu). Finally, you get some nice bonus features. It has a built-in alarm clock feature which turns on the TV at the time you select and shuts it off at another time. This makes it the perfect bedroom TV for me. I just set my cable box to turn on to a specified channel at the time I want to wake up and the TV does the rest. So much better than an alarm clock! This 50" 4K Hisense proves that they make great TVs and I am now looking forward to the day that they introduce a really big (75 to 85 inch screen) so that I can upgrade my living room TV!

Let me first start off by saying that I'm a Samsung guy always have been.. But when I was shopping for a 4K tv I was put off by the prices of the a Samsung 4K HDR models. But after doing a bit of research and reading many reviews on bestbuys site on this hisence I took the dive and purchased the tv. This thing has an amazing crisp picture with great black levels!! I haven't found one thing I don't like about it yet.. The apps work great, the buttons for Netflix and YouTube come in very handy as well. Netflix has a few titles to choose from in 4K which are ok.. The 4K upscaling is fantastic makes some programs on Netflix look almost as good as 4K hard to tell the difference! Another great feature is you can stream 4K with YouTube! All in all it is a great tv with a 4 year warranty! Let's just hope it lasts!!

    STOP RESEARCHING TV'S

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

So I'm the type of person that reviews products long before I decide to buy something. TV's are even worse. There are so many new specs on tv's nowdays and inconsistent reviews that its almost impossible to make that decision I know I've been there for a while. But now its finally over. This tv has it all. Seriously. Let me list them out. The Startup and Ease of Use is Crazy Easy and User Friendly. The Controller is so slick with designated app buttons, big plus trust me no crazy navigating through tv options. If you have a fast internet WIFI like I do the streaming has NO buffer at all even with 4k or UHD videos from youtube or any other apps IE Netflix or Amazon or UltraFlix. I have signed up for the free month with them so you can watch anything from 1080p to 4kUHD just to try them out and if you don't want them just cancel the subscription before the month is over. You can screen mirror your phone, you can google cast anything from your phone or pc. I didn't know that you could do on this tv until I tried and its flawless. Even cast anything in your phone gallery. USB thumb drive has to be 32 gig or below to recognize and I would recommend using the 3.0 usb input (blue one). I tried a 128gig thumb drive and it wouldn't recognize it under media or inputs. Hisense has told me it was too big. Which is fine so I used a 32 gig and watched a few downloaded 4k UHD films from the stick and there flawless. Sound is Unreal even at level 12-15 out of 60 levels which is ridiculous. I have heard or seen that before and I've also turned on Total Surround and Total Sonics its craziness. I have a Onkyo 5.1 and I unplugged it for now. Now to the Picture Quality. I have seen so many TV's in stores from best buy to walmart to costco and for this price nothing holds a candle close to it. From the onset of the free startup video that shows a guy on a motorcycle in HDR color compared to others it was just heaven. Now I have Xfinity HD box so I only watch the upper HD channels from CNN to Movies it upscales nicely. Watching a youtube 4k UHD video like Demos are just NUTZ, its like your in a different world especially at night and if you tweak the settings a little but honestly not much needed here. The Blacks are really good (no not LG ULED for $2,000 or more folks this tv was $499 but believe me unless your a Videophile or always hanging around on the VideoForums your not going to notice) and if you tweak the backlight and brightness and turned down adaptive contrast under advanced pic sett it get even better. I have pic setting for the apps, cable and usb movies. Because when you switch between them if you go to your pic settings they will be different for each so no having to retweek once there set each time you go back to that option will be already set. Just play around with the setting a little at first because mine was cranked up to 50% on everything and backlight was at 67%. Now on to the HDR. I noticed when watching Marco Polo on Netflix it didn't say at the beginning HDR it said 4k ULTRA HD some tv's are showing the HDR at the beginning. But believe me the Quality of the Picture showing MarcoPolo is just Beautiful. I asked Hisense about the HDR and even though it states HDR available from local usb or hdmi. It doesn't mean hdmi through streaming it means usb supported devices nvidia shield or roku and HDMI meaning the New HDR bluray players. (not streamed HDR) but if you have a HDR bluray it will change settings to HDR which is running the tv at full spec. So don't get this mixed up. but to have that capability for $499 its such an Easy Decision. PS. I didn't get the geek squad warranty since Hisense has the best overall warranty of any tv manufacturer. 4 Years and I have already chatted and called them twice very intuitive about there products and service. So once again STOP LOOKING FOR A TV and get it you'll be writing your own review soon. See attached photos if you don't believe

    4K Deal of the Year

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I researched 4K TV's for weeks and no matter what I found from the big names such as Sony, Samsung or LG...nothing could match what Hisense gives you at this price point. This might have been one of the first TVs I looked at but I immediately blew it off as being an off market brand. Funny thing is, I just kept being led back here as the big three kept charging more and providing less. Hard to find a 50" set with HDR for $500....plus a 4 year warranty. After all that I still wasn't sold till I read that Hisense bought up Sharp...that tells me they are in this for the duration. Like most everyone here has said, great picture quality...it even kicks your 1080P picture up a couple notches with some nice upconverting. Last thing. I saw that some were buying sound bars...don't waste your money. This thing has the best sound I've heard on a flat screen and with plenty of volume. I watch it regularly with the volume set to 15.

Setup was a breeze straight out of the box. Picture has far surpassed my old 1080p Sony Bravia especially vividness and contrast during gaming. Included apps are ready and easy to navigate. Major plus in my opinion: this Hisense will outperform just about any TV sold for cheaper in the Black Friday sales. Especially regarding available ports, and capability to be a long term purchase with the 4k and HDR. Customer service was outstanding. The price had dropped from the time I ordered online to the time I picked up in store. This price drop was automatically applied. The price dropped another $50, and one simple phone call is all it took to get that price matched as well. I do recommend checking periodically for a lower price, given that purchases made during the holiday season have a longer price match window. Again, way to go Best Buy!
