I really like this TV. The picture is great and that's what's important. I tried to use the smart features like streaming from the internet but hit errors logging into Amazon and Hulu. Checked firmware but I was on the latest version. I'm sure they'll get it fixed eventually but I picked up an external Roku and it works great. The TV has two 4k HDMI inputs (HDMI 3 & 4). I also picked up a pivot/tilt wall mount because the picture looks best when viewing close to straight on. I've had it for a couple weeks and am very satisfied but wish they had Roku built in.

Before purchasing this TV, I did a lot of research. I spent quite a bit of money several years ago on a TV that only lasted three years. If you don't want to spend a ton of money, and need a great TV...go with this Hisense. This TV has the most vivid picture, it will blow you away! The sound quality is also fantastic. The price is a steal, especially considering the 4 year warranty. It's super easy to set up. Don't hesitate, buy this TV...you will not be disappointed!

It gives a good image. The remote is well designed, simple and effective. There is a full complement of settings, up through ones that would permit a detailed color calibration. (Most users will never need to look at the advanced settings.) It is compatible with a Samsung UDB-K8500 UHD Blu Ray player, which is the only player on the market at the moment, as far as I know. That may require an (automatic) firmware upgrade. (The unit has 4 HDMI inputs. Only two of them support 4k at 60 Hz.) The HDR (high dynamic range) feature may be unique for a low-priced 4k TV at this time. The maximum screen brightness is 300 nits, which means that it doesn't meet the informal requirements for a "premium" 4k HDR display (1000 nits). I haven't done enough testing to see how much that matters in reality. (It probably is relevant mainly to small-area light sources. If the whole screen was at 1000 nits, it would be painfully bright.) While it is nominally 60 Hz, it does a better job with fast action than a 5 year old 40" Philips LCD/LED TV that it replaced, even though the Philips had a nominal 120 Hz frame rate. I haven't noticed any glitches in playing movies with a 24 Hz frame rate. No real manual is provided with the TV, just a quick start guide. The full manual is supposed to be available for download, but as of 7-8-2016, it is not at hisense-usa.com yet. If the TV lasts as long as its warranty (4 years), I'll be pleased.

I bought this TV for a really great deal, and am absolutely in love with it. The sounds had many options, and great quality, and the same can be said for the picture. Super easy to set up, and it has enough ports to support all your devices!

TV's picture is top notch, HDR is spot on, it's the perfect size. Only gripe are the smart TV features. The OS gives you a select few base apps and that's it. recommend a chromecast ultra to get the most out of streaming content

Ok so this TV is really good. Let me get that out of the way. It has a beautiful picture and great sound, and the fact that you can get a little HDR with it as well is fantastic. It also HAS been updated now to be able to use HDR10 through HDMI ports 3 and 4, as well as through the USB 3.0 port. Now for the parts I don't like. First, I literally can NOT tell if I'm seeing HDR or not at this current time. I have tried hooking it up to my computer's GTX 1080 and playing downloaded 4k movies, but I don't know if they have HDR. I signed up for Netflix's top package and the TV currently will NOT accept HDR from it's own installed apps. So Netflix installed directly onto the TV (since it's a Smart TV) cannot tell this that tv has HDR, because it's not HDR certified. HOWEVER, supposedly if you have a streaming box of some sort hooked up via HDMI 2.0 to one of the two HDMI 2.0 ports on the TV, and were to play Netflix this way, supposedly it will work. Though I currently have no way of testing this I believe. This also means that if you have bought or will buy a new PS4 Pro or Xbox One S that this TV will work with HDR from either of those. As well as hooking up a UHD 4k HDR Blueray player to the TV, supposedly an HDR disc will play on the TV and it can use HDR. But these are just things I have read. So setting this TV up took quite a while. Not only do you have to update the TV's firmware to be able to get HDR through the HDMI ports, but you must then go into the TV's settings and change HDMI to "enhanced" in order to be able to do a few different things, one of which is hook up any sort of HDR device through HDMI. The other would be to hook your PC up via HDMI 2.0, and get yCbCr444 color format from your GPU. You must not only update the firmware, but go to Settings > System > HDMI Function > HDMI 2.0 Format and change it to Enhanced Format. So at this point I'm not very happy. I was extremely excited to get this TV because it seemed like a great deal, and to be fair it is. I wanted 4k and HDR for a cheap price. However, since it's not true 4k, and since it's being this difficult I am thinking about returning this TV and instead spending $650 or so which would be $200 more than I payed for this, on a 50" Vizio that IS HDR certified. I believe it not only supports HDR10 but also the proprietary Dolby HDR format, in case I ever need that. But all apps should then see the TV supports HDR. Not only that but the Vizio's HDR is actual full HDR. It will be a much better experience and the one I want. If you can settle for the issues I outlined above than this TV is great. I am picky and I'll admit it, but it's a lot of money for most people and I don't want to settle. A good portion of my life goes to this thing so I'm just going to get the one that gives me what I want. I hope this helps someone else...

Be sure to get the set with hdr as well as 2160 p. The picture is great and sound is very good - speech is especially good. The low cost makes this an even better buy. The easy access to Netflix, You Tube, etc. is a bonus.

I did a lot of research before purchasing this TV and I am a firm believer this is the best out there in the price range by far. The high dynamic range depth and color is the best I have seen, and the price is unbeatable.

Great TV, so far, considering the price along with the standard 4year warranty Hisense offers with this product, especially without knowing the quality of this particular brand. Picture is great, awesome to have access to our Netflix and Amazon accounts. Extremely easy to set up. Even a better deal now with the recent price drop. Sadly, we were unaware of the Best Buy 2 week price guarantee policy after contacting customer service. Normally 30day price guarantee is standard in retail? The negative rating is towards Best Buy only because of the price change, not the product itself.

I've waited many years before buying a flat screen TV. The early examples looked very coarse, basically a normal size screen grid spread out to a larger screen. Then my 20+ year old Sony Trinitron started degrading picture quality. Fortunately, 4K UHD TV's had come down in price to be manageable on my retirement budget. Even better, I got an additional 10% off for opening a Best Buy Credit Account! Final decision for this Hisense model was the many positive reviews, and the included factory 4 year warranty.

Great TV, and not just because of the price. Picture quality is nice. Whites are bright and blacks are dark. Speakers are clear and loud. Spend the extra money for the HDR. Would definitely buy another one.

I turned this tv on and was amazed at how clear the picture was. I was watching regular tv at that. It was a western and looked like it was shot with a HD camera. I hooked the Roku Plus up and was stunned at how detailed the picture was. The sound is teriffic for my small bedroom also. Wait its not over! I realized I had the tv in energy saver mode. I put it on normal and the tv picture and quality floored me!!!! Im watching 1990s movies that look like it was shot with 4K cameras!!! What in the world?! At this price please go buy it.

This is a great TV for the price. The reason I bought this TV is because it is green in all the XBox One S 4K TV Details (after you do the firmware update). It support 4K at 60Hz, HDR, 10 bit etc. There are a lot of cheaper 4K TVs which either will only do 30Hz at 4K, or 8 bit at 4K and no HDR and it is a real pain to figure out all the information before buying. It is a smart TV and it has Opera TV Store. It has youtube but does not have Plex. I use Plex a lot but for the time being I use XBox One S Plex app but the XBox one Plex app is sluggish, has some weird login requirements (both server and client must be logged in to a plex account - something that neither Roku or Android requires). Now for the big caveat - viewing angle. If you're watching this TV from head on, it looks great. Go over a little to the side and the colors look washed out. I set up the TV so I'm not directly in front of it and I struggled with the colors changing every little option I could find in there. Even a small angle off to the side will make everything look anemic. So, if you're using it for applications that you will not view from head-on, understand that the image quality will suffer and position your TV appropriately.

Bought this tv for my niece and we were both impressed with it. I compared it to other 50 inch televisions in its price range and this was the best for that category. Setup was easy and the streaming is very nice. Tv speakers are loud enough for me. It is not like my Samsung 65ks8000, but for the price it is worth buying. I will now buy this hisense tv for my bedroom.

I went into Best Buy with my son looking for a 50" 4k tv. We have a small wall unit and this is the biggest size we can use. Many of the name brands we looked at had very few choices in this size and the few that did had a great picture but at a big price. We then saw the Hisense on the wall showing a motorcycle video featuring HDR. We were blown away with the picture. Sharp, clear and colorful. We thought the picture rivaled the name brand models we had looked at. Then we saw the price and were immediately sold. Before buying we did research into this brand and learned that Hisense owns Sharp TV. We read the reviews, mostly positive, then learned about the in home warrantee. We speed back to best buy and made our purchase. This TV is great. We especially love the 4k on Netflix. Well worth the money. We highly recommend this TV even if you can afford the expensive brands.

Color me surprised that this tv was better in terms of color, HDR, and Smart performance than the LG 50 inch 6030. I was hesitant at first since I've heard mixed things about Hisense as a brand but man, I don't regret this purchase one bit. I do a lot of gaming and watch a lot of movies and this tv can't be beat for the price. My only complaint is it's a 60hz panel so motion might look odd to some. Overall, if you can grab this tv on sale, it's an absolute steal.

Very good picture, easy to set up. We have had one issue with the volume... there was no sound when we turned it on after about three months of use. After trying many things, we unplugged everything from the unit and plugged everything back in and the volume came back. We were sold on the TV by a Best Buy associate based on it having HDR, but three months after purchasing, I found out from another 2 Best Buy associates that HDR is installed but not usable. If I had known this, I would not have purchased it considering the $500 price I paid.

This TV is far more than I expected. I was sort of disappointed that it didn't have ROKU, but then I found that it has nearly everything that ROKU has and it works even better. Also, being the number one seller in China didn't mean much to me, until I found out that most of the major brands selling here are made in China. I am really pleased with the picture, the sound, and the functionality of this set and would highly recommend it to my friends and family and anyone else looking for a quality TV at a much more affordable price than many of the leading brands.
