    Affordable QLED with Premium Touches

The Hisense 50" QD6 Series QLED 4K Fire TV is an entry-level television that punches above its weight when it comes to visual quality and smart features. For the price, it delivers a sharp picture and a well-rounded feature set that makes it a solid choice for everyday use. Design-wise, the QD6 is lightweight and slim. At just 3.1 inches thick without the stand and weighing under 20 lbs, it’s easy to mount or move around. It supports VESA 200x400 mounting, and won’t overwhelm a wall or media stand. This TV runs on Amazon’s Fire OS platform, so if you've had experience with Fire TV sticks or set-top boxes before, everything will feel very familiar. The included remote is basically the same Fire TV remote, with built-in voice control via Alexa plus some additional partner buttons. Navigation is responsive, and all major streaming services (Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Hulu, Max, YouTube, etc.) are either preloaded or easily installed. One of the first thing I noticed was the picture quality. This TV uses a direct-lit QLED panel that produces bright and clean images. Hisense’s “Active HDR” dynamically adjusts contrast and brightness in real time, resulting in a vivid and consistent image, especially when watching HDR content from streaming apps. There are also some nice AI-driven features included. The AI 4K Upscaler uses machine learning to sharpen edges, improve textures, and clean up older or lower-res content. AI Smooth Motion, powered by MEMC (Motion Estimation Motion Compensation), reduces blur and keeps movement crisp during fast-paced content like sports. It manages to do this without the distracting soap-opera effect that some motion smoothing tends to introduce. Game Mode Plus is another highlight if you are a gamer. Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) help cut down on lag and screen tearing, giving gameplay a smoother feel. Connectivity is better than expected for a TV in this class. It has three HDMI 2.0 ports (4K @ 60 Hz), two USB-A ports, an ATSC tuner for an antenna, and even a composite input for legacy devices. Having two USB ports (when one is more typical at this price) is handy. This is especially nice for powering streaming sticks directly from the TV rather than needing an external power source. One HDMI port supports eARC, making it easy to connect a soundbar and unlock higher-end audio formats like Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual:X. The 16W stereo speakers are serviceable for casual viewing, but anyone watching a lot of movies or music videos or people who have this TV in a larger space may want to add external speakers. One small annoyance with the I/O layout: the composite video ports are rear-facing instead of side-facing, which can make wall mounting a bit tricky if you're trying to get the TV really close to the wall, but it’s a minor gripe considering how rarely those inputs are used these days. Overall, the Hisense 50" QD6 Fire TV offers a lot for the price. The strong visual performance, smart Fire OS integration, upscaling tech, and gaming features make it feel more premium than the price tag suggests. Whether it's your main screen or a secondary setup for a bedroom or office, it’s a great value for anyone looking for a capable 4K QLED experience without breaking the bank.

I selected this TV for my son for his bedroom as his older 720p plasma was just big for a 42-in in the picture quality head well degraded over the years. What is 50 in fire TV works perfect for his bedroom with a much improved picture over his old TV which was 20 years old. He likes to watch movies on Amazon prime as well as play a lot of PlayStation sports games on it with his PS5 which look pretty good on the TVs 2.0 HDMI inputs. I like that the TV only weighs 30 lb versus his old 42 inch plasma which was nearly 80 lb. The picture is surprisingly good for an entry level 4K TV I'm not a huge fan of Amazon fire TV and neither is he as we all use Roku for streaming on each TV in the house. To me the fire TV seems to lag with its lower processing power, especially compared to a newer Roku model Wi-Fi or wired. Brightness levels of the TV are really well daytime or night, I've yet to put a 4K UHD disc in my son's PS5 to check out how good or not it looks I still really need to do that. While playing games on his PS5 or streaming 4K movies on Amazon prime look really good for a lower-end 4K TV. The remote is very cheap and basic like most lower and TVs seem to be nowadays, the remote feels like one decent drop and it would explode into 10 pieces. If you're on a budget and looking at this TV I definitely will recommend giving the Hisense qd6 a try.

Crazy value for good display and sound quality

Let me start by saying my unit shipped missing the legs/stands. I'm in the process of receiving replacements, but in the interim I had a friend 3D print me a set of usable legs since he uses a unit with the same attachment style and they were easy to create a compatible set and the screws were included in another bag. This will not count against my review as sometimes these things happen. Arriving in a decent sized box, picking up the box shows it is more volume than weight. Unboxing was pretty easy and the flat screen is light enough that one person can pick it up and move it to where it needs to be. One thing that really blows me away is how light many modern TVs are in weight. I come from large traditional TVs and rear display 120lb behemoths. Even my last few flat screens were pretty hefty. The newer panels are just so light. The unit was well packaged. My package was actually damaged in transit with a large hole in the box, but the internal packaging really works well and keeps the display away from the side of the box with a large, rigid piece of cardboard protecting the display. Besides the display itself, you do receive a remote with batteries, 2x leg stands and 4x screws along with a manual. The display is wall mount compatible. Setup is very easy and you can tell this unit is very Amazon/Alexa forward. Once connected to WiFi or ethernet, you have two options for setup. Advanced which is centered around using the display as your central smart hub with Alexa and numerous streaming apps and services or basic which is about 5 streaming apps only and that's it. Since I plan on using this display with an AppleTV external unit, I went with the basic. A pleasant surprise was the remote works natively with my AppleTV. Once I selected HDMI1 (you have three HDMI connectors) for my AppleTV, it switched right over and the remote immediately started working with it. I like having one remote control everything. The remote is big enough and easy to handle but the battery cover took a bit to remove as it was very slick and very locked in. The display natively supports Apple Dolby Vision which is a nice bonus. For $400, the picture quality is really outstanding. I can remember paying 2-3x more for much less picture quality. I watched some Foundation on AppleTV and for the price you are getting some serious value with their QLED. Compared to an older 47" LED we were using, this Hisense just blew it out the water in quality and price. Will the picture quality match a much more expensive or bigger flat screen, OLED or a higher tier FALD display? No, but if you're working within a budget, the picture quality is more than nice enough. Lastly is the sound. I am very used to either using headphones or an external sound system because quite frankly most flat screen sound systems are not very good. I was actually impressed with the Hisense sound system to the point for our bedroom I am just going to use the internal speakers versus install a small soundbar. Overall, for the price, I very much like everything about the Hisense from picture to sound along with a multi function remote and the ability to choose how indepth you want the smart TV functionality to work.

This is my first time using a Hisense product and I will have to say that this Smart Tv is a great choice for the price and the quality of the product, it has all the features and the functionality that I was looking for on a smart tv. This 50” tv is perfect for my room, easy to set up the integrated FireTv system with my Amazon Prime account and Alexa smart remote control. Good quality sound and crystal clear resolution with its 4k ultra HD , QLED color, AI picture with 4k upscale, AI smooth motion and Dolby Vision Atmos make this Hisense tv as good as other brand. It has all my favorite streaming services pre installed, Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, Disney+,Max, Paramount+, AppleTV+,Peacock and YouTube. I opted to use my own TV stand because the one that comes with the TV it’s a little lower than what I wanted the tv stand in my room, if you want this TV on your wall, it only includes two spacers, you will have to get Vesa wall mount screws size M6 ( 200-400 mm), also the power cord is a bit short so make sure your electric outlet is close to where you want the tv. The TV has two built in speakers, two usb port, 1 optical digital audio, 1 3.5 mm audio and three HDMI ports.

This is the first TV from Hisense that I’ve tried and I’m honestly pretty happy with it. I’m using the QD6 in the bedroom where we don’t exactly have a ton of room and at 50” the size is just right (there’s also other size options) Unboxing/setup: The TV and its box don’t actually weigh that much so it was very easy to get into our apartment. Once unboxed we were up and running in about 10 minutes with all the apps and software updates installed. I really like Fire TV and it’s my preferred interface for smart TVs even if it’s becoming a bit dated. Display: 4K is pretty standard these days so it mainly comes down to colors and accuracy - out of the box I was actually very impressed! I ended up toggling the dynamic image option which boosted the colors even more though so I recommend giving that a try. The colors look very accurate and not overdone especially when it comes to different skin tones. Brightness is good as well, I get a lot of sunlight coming into my room and I never had any problems viewing the TV. -Tested watching the NBA playoffs and movies in 4K- Speakers: This is a weak spot for this TV - they are just bad. You have to boost the volume quite a bit to hear anything clear like voices. Not unusable but pretty disappointing even for this tier. Performance: It gets the job done - nothing crazy. I did have one instance where it lagged really badly when trying to launch a movie but I couldn’t replicate it later. Other: Remote is your basic Fire TV type of remote so very minimal, and I find that the batteries on these pretty much last for years. For inputs there’s 3x HDMI 2.0 ports on the back so it’s great for consoles, but just keep in mind that this runs at 60hz (there is also motion enhancement technology that should make it feel more like 120hz). The Hisense QD6 is an easy recommendation - It definitely exceeded my expectations in the most important aspect which is the display so at the end I’m rating it pretty highly even if the rest isn’t all that special.

This was my first experience with an OLED smart TV. I've had many experiences with monitors. OLED still has the best display when it comes to viewing content. This Smart TV didn't disappoint. The 50" excelled at providing this experience. As with most OLEDs, the display is amazing. There was a huge difference in colors, contrast, and vibrancy with this one and the old smart TV that was being used. When you sit at different angles, you still get a clear, crisp image. The image looks so much better. It's like it pops out and attracts the eye. Watching movies on this thing is a blast. It's an experience you have to see for yourself. The setup was simple. On first turn on the TV took a few minutes to do its thing. After that, it was simple. You log in to your Amazon Prime account, and you're good to go. The TV connected to a 4K antenna very well. Just another option for more channels. Being a Fire TV, you get all the Amazon stuff that comes with Prime and such. There weren't many cons. The setup was simple. The picture was good. The price is Right. There was very much to like on this QLED 4K Smart TV!

If you’re deciding whether to buy it: the Hisense 50″ QD6 is a solid choice for its price. It gives you a lot of what many people want (good picture, smart features, HDR formats, gaming mode), without many of the high-end extras that cost a lot more. Just go in knowing the trade-offs: less impressive performance in direct sunlight, less dramatic HDR impact than premium models, and audio that may leave something to be desired. If I were you, I’d buy it if its price is significantly below what a higher-end TV with full local dimming / 120Hz panel costs in your area, and if you are okay pairing it with external audio. If budget allows, you might push for something with 120Hz refresh, better motion handling, or stronger HDR bright peaks.

QDOT is fantastic for the money. We replied an old Samsung plasma with the new QD6. The old one was having internal issues. So I did my research and decided on the Hisense instead of the Samsung version. More tech, great images with Dolby Vision and less money out of my pocket. Light and Easy to hang.

The service for my purchase for this TV was great. I ordered the TV and it was delivered the next day. I had a problem because the TV was too big for the space. I was able to return the TV to my local store and they replaced it with an upgraded slightly smaller one and issued me a credit for the difference in price. It all transpired very smoothly and the Hisense TV is perfect for me with the quality of its color, field of depth and sound and is exactly what I wanted.

This is my second Hisense tv. They are great tv's with great software. The picture doesn't get the praise that it deserves when it's up against it competitors. And it's a reason for that. It has ghosting issues that arrive shortly after your purchase. You WILL use their warranty, so I will forewarn you to get an extended warranty.

I really enjoy this TV. From the picture quality to the ease of use everything about this TV for the most part is wonderful. My only gripe is getting to the sleep timer when it's nighttime and I'm watching a show. I would like to not have to exit out of the show to set the timer. Other than that it's a great set. Even when playing video games I have zero complaints. This brand will definitely be on my radar going forward.

Great TV overall, but my first QLED TV. The colors took a bit to get used to despite all my attempts to adjust it. Best way to describe it is that everybody seems t have an "Asian" skin tone. Also didn't pick up any of my cable channels at startup. Not sure if this would have prevented having to get to normal TV through a few menu clicks every time at startup.
