    This 2021 4K TV replaced a 2012 Panasonic 1080 Plasma TV, but the picture quality and colors of the plasma TV were head and shoulders better than this new one. Pretty disappointing.

    Nice midrange TV

    This is our first Hisense TV. We intentionally went for the midrange model because it is for our bedroom. So far it's been great. We replaced a plasma because the glare was terrible. No issues here. The picture is excellent after some out of the box adjustments. We have it connected to a Shield TV but the stock Android TV already on the TV works well also and I prefer it over the Roku software many tv's have. Colors, brightness and clarity are good especially for the price. Viewing angles are decent but typical of lcd's the picture will degrade a bit at some angles. The remote control works well. It has several extra shortcut buttons which are a bit unnecessary but otherwise it works fine. There are some in depth picture adjustments and it's worth taking time to do that as it increases the picture quality quite a bit. Sound is decent. Probably the same as most tv's nowadays. We will see long term but short term it's a nice tv at a good price.

    Horrific vertical and horizontal banding. Tested every option available to me, but issue occurs regardless of settings (backlight level, HDR, resolution, device, content, etc.). I was only now able to open and set up this TV, unfortunately long past the return deadline. I will open a warranty claim-- at this point unsure if this is a defective unit or a flaw with the model. Can't recommend as is.

    Intermittent issues with HDMI connecting sound bar and Roku player. I have checked the cables and they function on another smart TV. Checked the setup and when connected you cannot select ARC. Now, the Roku player isn't recognized. Defective. Not sure what can be done now since it is past warrnty. Should have gone with Samsung or LG.

    If you are an Android user, this TV is for you. Set-up is incredibly easy with your phone/Google account. It synchronizes immediately, and you can utilize your apps right on the TV. Your accounts are already entered for easy use. The picture is fantastic. I use a Firestick 4K and the colors and definition are beautiful. It's my only 4K TV, and I can definitely see the difference from my other TVs. The sound is good for a flat screen and adequate for a smaller room, but I've connected it to a soundbar to enhance it. My only slight complaint is the remote seems to have a delay when changing some of the settings, but it is a minor issue. I would definitely recommend this TV over some of the higher price brands out there.

    For the price, junk. I read all the different review sites and this TV was overwhelmingly recommended. I got it home and the picture was completely washed out and dull. I even googled how to best set the different picture settings... I returned it and got an LG Nano for the same price. No comparison, not even a contest. Thanks LG!

    Dont buy this tv you will have a problem catching the optical cord mine wont catch it wont stay in i cant use my soundbar the audio on this tv is junk you need a soundbar or else you will keep changing the volume this tv is costing me money i never buy hisense tvs ever again

    Not Recommended - One of the bad TVs that I never thought that I will buy, Picture is ok. The sound is not up to the mark. When I tried to cast my youtube, suddenly I see a white screen. And connecting to Wifi takes so long(We are software professionals having hi-speed connectivity).

    New 50" TV purchased on February 26th, dies on March 27th. Best Buy offers no assistance but refers you to the manufacturer who takes a week to come out and look at a repair.

    Clearly Hisense has stepped up their game. The last Hisense we purchased many years ago was returned. If you order this one, don’t worry about shipping this tv. It was very well packaged. It has thin bezels and looks nice on my bedroom wall. There were plenty of connections for our satellite program provider and our 4K DVD player with one to spare. There are also two USB connections. The sound was surprisingly good. Our much bigger, more expensive big name tv has terrible speakers and sound. The connectivity was quite easy. Google wanted me to sign in which makes sense since it is an Android TV and comes loaded with apps. I haven’t found that Apple products are supported, again no surprise there. The picture needed some “tweaks” to get colors right but all TVs need that. I can’t say the picture is great, but it is very nice for our occasional use in the bedroom. The picture is very good with 4K content from our dvd. Personally, I find that 4K is overrated and true 4K content isn’t the “norm” in most programming. That said, we have a new DVD player and a nice 4K library of movies. They just don’t look any better whether it’s on our “big name” 82 inch or this 50” power house Hisense Tv. If you are looking for a good picture at a bargain price, then you should be happy with this. We were.

    I did so much research and read a lot of reviews and got a little overwhelmed with all of the functions that TVs can do now a days. This is the one I kept coming back to and saw on multiple recommendations, and safe to say I am impressed! This has those nice features with QLED at a lower price which is great for my movie watching and occasional gaming. It's a great bedroom starter advanced TV lol. The picture quality is so colorful, bright and detailed. The sound is good (I'm no expert) but I did purchase a sound bar just cause there was one on sale recently. It's been a great upgrade to my older flat screen LG tv which was fine but it was time for a more advanced TV. The smart controls are efficient and useful and you can connect a gmail account. I was only skeptical of getting because of the "soap opera effect" that cannot be turned off but I cannot even notice it at all. I don't detect a difference. The only "con' I have is the remote feels a little clunky and dated, and I wish it had some free content/channels it provided like LG does but Pluto is fine for that, it's not that serious. Overall, I am really enjoying having a high quality TV at a great price. If you are debating on purchasing this TV go for it.

    3 stars for the OS, Android TV sucks. The picture and sound are great. The OS is slow and locks up and every few months i have to reset the TV. I say beware ANY Android or Google TV.

    This is an excellent television that excels in picture quality and sound! You cant find a better tv on the market that offers 4K ULED at this price point for a 50 inch tv. It really is an amazing value. The picture quality is outstanding and matches up to its biggest competitors LG, Sony, and Samsung. What's even better is its HUNDRES of dollars less! I did a lot of research on different sets but always found myself coming back to the Hisense based on all positive reviews and the picture quality. Clean, clear and crisp. I did a little tweaking to the picture settings to my liking and I couldn't be happier. The Dolby Atmos is a very generous upgrade feature from Hisense, but if you're looking for more sound than what the tv offers invest in an sound bar. Thank you Hisense!!

    Purchased the Hisense 50" U6G to replace our 5 year old Sharp roku tv, as the wifi receiver in the older Sharp wasn't very good and we could hardly stream anything. The Hisense is a massive upgrade in every possible way. The 4k resolution is beautiful when watching UHD movies. The brightness and video settings can be easily changed to tailor to your environment, and the screen can get very bright so there shouldn't be issues with glare from lights or the sun. Some places have said there may be issues with viewing angles being narrow but I haven't experienced that at all. It streams everything flawlessly without any buffering. The UI is very quick and responsive well laid-out. The audio is a major upgrade, the range is pretty good and it gets very loud, plus there are a number of audio options for when you're watching/listening to different things. For example, I went from watching tv to playing music through Spotify and the sound on the music wasn't very good, but changing the audio setting to the music setting made a massive difference. After about a month of ownership, I absolutely recommend this tv to anybody looking for an affordable 4k tv no matter what your needs are.

    The Hisense TV has a great picture. Colors are very vivid and everything is crystal clear. The only down side is there is no pause button on remote and since I stream most everything there is no way to stop the show to get snacks, bathroom break, etc. I have to connect my Apple TV so i can have the pause buttton.

    It's a great TV, easy to set up, their Customer Service was great The sound is good, better than I thought it would, the picture is solid, if not excellent. I had to get used it a bit, but I really love this TV. I looked at them all: Samsung, LG, Sony, etc... even TCL, but I went for the Hisense 50" Class U6G Also, I would like to add, I bought this TV is because it fit my Entertainment Center. I had to take a part my entertainment center so it could fit a bigger TV like the 50" Hisense. It had a clearance of 44 Inches and the Hisense 50" was 43.8 inches and it fits like a glove. I love it and recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good value and good TV

    Picture incredible for the price. Put the TV on Vibrant color setting. Volume is excellent for my needs. I am not a gamer. I hear well and don’t need to push it past 7. I’m impressed with this TV really good for sports. Again - must be on Vibrant color setting. I also bought Geek squad 5 year plan. Get at least the three year one. 50 inch and over qualify for in home service.
