I think this TV is good for the price. The picture isn't the clearest I've seen, but it's good enough. I like that it's thin and lightweight. The sound quality is good too, but I don't turn my TV up very loud. The apps are helpful to be able to watch TV shows without getting cable.

Hisense TV, let's go review this sucker!

Ok, first please don't read too much into my 3 star rating in terms of quality. It actually isn't bad in that regard. Like many of my reviews are becoming it's a comparison thing. I don't care whether it's a top brand like Sony or LG or if it's a budget brand like TCL or Hisense. Ultimately a lot of it comes down to how it compares to similar versions of essentially the same thing that's out there. Now then, in regard to this specific TV. The wording here is what throws me. Not specs, but them calling it a ULED QUANTAM TV. Really it sounds like a bunch of fancy & flashy words similar to what they put on 80's boomboxes to make them sound cooler and more impressive. It's not OLED, it's not a QLED (which for those unaware is NOT exclusive to Samsung, they merely started it), it's not mini LED (which is a real thing with it's own benefits) so whatever tech this is sporting just to me comes off as a way to up the price. Which is another thing. Hisense does okay quality TV's, not amazing quality TV's (averaging them out), their basically like TCL in that their an upper end budget TV. You'll more than get your money's worth from them, but even their top of the line models aren't likely to blow you away. So paying up for one of their models doesn't make sense. The A6G model from Hisense is just as good as this model and is nearly a $100 cheaper ($370 vs $450 so after tax differences more like $85ish, but I'm using round numbers here) for the same size TV and so my recommendation is that if you're going with a decent budget TV that there's nothing wrong, seriously there isn't, with getting a Hisense TV, just don't bother buying into the notion that a more expensive model makes for a better TV. That principle is only applicable to top end brands such as Samsung or Sony for example, it doesn't apply to any budget brand. I should reiterate that if the difference was between OLED and LED then there would in fact be a justifiable reason behind paying more to get more, but this just again seems like their throwing around fancy wording with no real effect behind them. For those who already have one or perhaps love Hisense as a brand and this is the only model in stock at your store I can't be critical of what's here. I'm sure it'll be a decent enough TV, I just don't see it really being worth more than the entry level model.

I'm going to return this TV, unfortunately. I don't want to - Android TV has grown on me and is now my favorite user interface, and the picture is great. I hate the 1997-looking volume bar, but I'd give it a pass... The problem is the sound. It's awful. You will absolutely, definitely need a sound bar, and you will never get good sound from HBO Max or Disney+ without attempting many workarounds that don't work very well. These issues with HBO Max and Disney+ are very well-documented and very common on AVForums & Reddit. So, the good news is there are other people (lots) going through the same issue and Hisense is aware, but they still haven't fixed it. I've always had hand-me-down TVs. This is my first purchase of a TV I actually picked and want to have. I had total fluke issues with really bad lighting problems with an LG I picked up so came back and got this, but the sound is so bad when watching those 2 apps... I can't handle it. I don't want to get a different TV, but Hisense, you're forcin' my hand, folks. Please get it together with the HBO Max and Disney+ Sound. If you want great picture and don't care if those 2 apps sound like you're listening from a tinny, abrasive, robot-like speaker, or just want to always stream from your phone or additional streaming device instead of your smart TV doing its job, get this tv, I honestly don't know know what I'm going to get instead. Just a bummer.

I bought this 50" TV after reading a RTINGS review. But it turns out they cheaped out on the display, it will only provide HDR and 4:4:4 color space at 30hz. Purchased from Walmart If Hisense answers with a fix for this I will update all my reviews.

Great Smart TV. The price was reasonable and even though the GCI Rep told me Yukon TV streaming service did not support this brand, it works great. The remote will even change channels with the number pad. The 4 k fire stick won’t do this.

Writing this review to maybe help some others, i was looking for a 4K tv for my bedroom in the sub $700 range. First i got last years Samsung Q60 from another store, I know not a great TV but it looked great. Got it home and it had a bad pixel so back it went. Then i went to Best Buy. A sales guy told me in my price range the Hisense U6G was a great Tv. I guess i was expecting too much. I mean its ok but even in Dolby Vison its not great. For the price im happy but im not gonna lie, I contemplated returning it and spending way more on a higher end model. It will do for now i guess, and i like the new and improved Android Experience.
