Solid tv if you can get it at a decent price. Volume gets loud which is great. Colors take some fiddling with, but look pretty good after adjustment. Power light randomly come on - not sure it’s trying to pickup audio ahem… “commands” but it can be completely quiet when it does it. Have had it for about two years now and now issues so far.

Purchased the 55" version of this TV a few months ago. Like it so much I decided to buy the 50" for my bedroom. Think the color and picture are even better on the 50"!!! Bought if on Black Friday and got a SUPER deal - Thank you Best Buy! Have plastered walls with limited outlets so I mounted the TV on a floor stand and placed that on a table. The sound is surprisingly good. At this point, I don't think I'll need a sound bar.

Impressive Colors and screen quality. Stands legs are plastic, but work well. I will mount it, but the VESA pattern is 300x200...which requires an adapter plate for my old wall mount. Android TV will take getting used to (used to Roku). It is a 60hz panel, so you will have to buy the upcoming U7G or U8G to get the 120hz panels. 55 inch would have been to big for the space the TV is going in, so I went with the smallest size in HiSense 2021 models.

I bought this based on stellar reviews and it mostly lived up to them. I didn't use it long term though, so I can't offer much long term feedback. The picture punched above its class for sure and I really preferred it vs LG WebOS and Vizio SmartCast that i had used prior to Android. This was my 3rd Android TV, and it seemed just as good. I recommend this TV, especially if you can get it on sale like I did for $400 (50"). However, I am returning this today as I stumbled upon a killer open box deal on a 55" TCL 646. I snagged it a week ago for $498 (open box excellent). I was tempted to keep this TV for the bedroom at my parent's 2nd home, but I found another open box deal that I am going to grab to save some money. The u6g was a bit overkill to keep for such limited use. Again not returning due to any issues and I am giving this a solid 4, I would go 4.25 even, I rated picture quality and brightness as 5s, but they aren't perfect, but they were closer to 5 than 4, probably about 4.5-4.6.

Excellent picture (especially in HDR). I do wish that more of the streaming apps running directly on the TV supported Atmos, but that's to be expected when the TV doesn't have eARC. Brightness levels are fantastic. Not the most uniform backlight, but far better than what you get in the $300-400 range.

This TV has been with us since we purchased it almost 2 years now. Hisense has provided great quality in our daily use. It's easy on the eyes and gives wonderful graphics and sound wherever you sit in the room. Great purchase!

To preface, I have 2 LG C series OLED TVs. I purchased a 43" TCL first for almost the same amount as this 50" Hisense. The TCL was meant to be my spare room/office monitor, and no amount of setting changes had the TV looking good enough. I sold the TCL.and went and the Hisense U6G QD. Massive improvement, good enough to even say that when I spend the whole day using it for work and watching stuff on it, that it's not a jarring transition when I start watching TV on the CX with my family at the end of the day. Even the Series S and PS5 look fairly decent on it, despite lacking HDMI 2.1. Thanks to QD (quantum Dot) the TV can get some decent contrast, bright highlights.and very punchy colors. Onvi7 not as good as OLED but for the price I have no problem it's worth it.

Purchased this 50" Hisense as a secondary TV for a bedroom. I read many reviews and found it as the highest rated budget model on RTings. It was packaged very well, easy to set-up through my phone and up and running in less than 30 minutes, I purchased a budget TV as my main TV a year ago and was so disappointed in the picture quality that I returned it and I bit the bullet and purchased the LG C1 OLED which has an amazing picture. I was worried that the Hisense picture would be similar to the one I returned. It is not. The picture is very good, the sound is great and I couldn't be happier. It is well worth the money!

Love it. Picture quality is great. Sounds good. Its an Android tv so cant complain functional wise. You might need to chamge the main control panel after a couple of years but its an easy fix.

Was looking for a good TV for bedroom. This was replacing a Sony 55x850d that was over 4 years old. The picture quality on the Hisense is better than the old Sony. Easy to setup and the one thing I really liked was being able to install the Apple TV app! No need to use a hardware Apple 4K TV device connected to a HDMI input. The only negative thing is that there is no dedicated TV button and the remote as my other 2 Sony TVs have. Not worried about the HDR brightness on this Hisense as it is only used in the bedroom. Have this TV mounted on the wall about 20 feet away from bed and had no need to get a sound bar.

So far so good, can’t complain. The back was a little strange so I had to improvise on my wall mount to make it work - so if you have a universal “fits most” wall mount, I suggest checking out one for this tv or brand. The picture quality is outstanding. The sound is much better than my previous High end brand. After looking through everything this was a high end tv at a decent price. I did do a price match which was fairly easy. Quoted me a day early on delivery when purchasing, which isn’t a big deal, but disappointing when I had everything unhooked and set up for the new tv.

This is my pick for budget tv of the year. You get incredible black levels, a really solid contrast ratio, and its QLED so you get great colors. The android tv software runs really smooth, unlike the google tv software the new TCL 5 series has thats around the same price. It get bright enough that it can fight glare in a well lit room. The speakers arent great but good enough that if you cant afford a sound bar they will do. I bought this tv at 65" for myself then bought it for my parents at 50". I dont think you will find another tv around this price with as much upside as this U6G.

had the TV for 3 weeks now, I've been fairly impressed with the quality of picture for the price. Darks can get muddled in darker scenes, I was expecting it to perform better in this area. Upscales nicely from DVD's etc. Motion blur is non-existent so far, and I'm very impressed with that (also handles deep BG scaling really well i.e. the way the mountains move with the camera in a movie like LOTR if you look closely you'll see a jerky movement while the picture re-scans the image x times per/second- this TV handles that really well) BUT biggest complaint is funky app system and not all apps play nicely with AUDIO!!! I'm not talking some 3rd party 'cr'app, HBO, DISNEY and AMAZON all get single channeled to the left speaker of the TV or our 2,4.5,7 stereo system, and it virtually unlistenable... it's horrendous, and the issue has been going on for at least 2 years now and remains unfixed. The only solution is to run your audio system through the ARC connection to TV. But then on certain apps, like Netflix, the sync gets thrown off and you can't fix that even with the the advanced delay setting in the sound menu on the TV (which apparently does nothing as even if you set to max delay, changes nothing) So... decent TV for $600, but glaring APP failures and zero customer support in how to deal with it. If you have a home audio system that accomodates ARC then you'll be fine with this TV

The colors on this hisense 50" u6g series Quantum uled 4k uhd smart android tv are WONDERFUL. So far the picture is better than other 4k I own that cost about double what this hisense u6g cost. I'm strongly considering buying another one of these hisense u6g 50". The four hdmi ports (most others only have two) also really help , and wifi connection to our internet and streaming nature / music video worked great. So far I'm very pleased
