For a budget-friendly, high-quality viewing experience, this TV is a great choice. Physical media like DVDs or BluRays come alive, and streaming content looks lifelike. The blacks are exceptionally rich, which makes a big difference in the picture quality. The sound level is ample to not need a sound bar, unless deeper and more immersive sound is important to you.

Such good value for the money. With a little tweaking, the picture is phenomenal. It’s a slightly outdated model, but probably the best value in the sub-$400 range.

Really great television for the price. I needed something for my son's room that looked great without breaking the bank, and this television ticked all the boxes. GoogleTV is a wonderful platform and I prefer it to Roku, which was a huge selling point for me.

Settings need quite a few changes to get a good picture. Starts to slow and have a delay in selecting apps/shows after a couple days without a restart. Settings menu could be more intuitive; some settings seem almost hidden in a separate menu from the one the "settings" button brings up. Some smaller things I've noticed: If you switch off Google assistant there are 4 yellow/orange lights that will always be on right under the screen; luckily they are quite dim. Bottom border is a darker grey, while the rest of the border is black.
Picture is very good for the price. Dolby digital/atmos support and local dimming are unexpected at this price point. Supports earc and has plenty of HDMI ports. The feet are very sturdy and actually have a cable management tab; you won't see the cables behind the tv very much, if at all. It's probably the best packaged tv I've ever bought. It is even easy to unpack and set up by yourself.
Overall, it's a good tv for this price point.

Love it, nice picture quality, easy to assemble (legs) first time getting this brand and it did not disappoint. Planning to get me a bigger one for my living room. The price is nice too!

Good picture quality and great sound quality! Only downsides are that the viewing angle isn't very wide and the app interface can be slightly slow/glitchy

Very nice, great picture and sound for the price. Easy to connect to all networks. The only concern was the description did not accurately list the width of the feet.

Out of the box, its pretty bad. But once you figure out how to configure it and, most importantly, turn off motion smoothing so 99% of films look the way the cinematographer intended, the 50U6G is without a doubt the best, most capable, brightest, most accurate TV you can buy under $600 in 2023–and it’t from 2022! To say this thing punches way above its weight is an understatement. Unless you need true 120hz for gaming, do not hesitate; buy it now before they’re gone forever.

This is replacing a 15 yr. old Vizio that is still working, but with the current prices, couldn’t resist. Excellent tv for my use. 50” perfect size for medium size tv/library room. Viewing distance of 8’. Has lots of adjustment features to get the picture you want, but is also fine with any of the standard settings. Speakers are very tinny, but dialogue easily understood. At the price we got it for, purchase of a sound bar is ok. Excellent picture to rival any Oled or Qled. Definitely recommend.

So this is a nice TV, great size and has a very nice picture. But it does poorly with sports and fast moving action. Watching hockey games the action where the camera moves quickly makes the picture get very grainy. My larger Sony TV doesn't do that and my old Plasma doesn't do that. For movies is good though.

Besides the giant ads that get in the way of trying to open apps, it is a nice tv. Turning off the google voice leaves a bright light on the bottom of frame sadly.

A perfect size for a bedroom. Quantum ULED a good choice for a superior picture. Easy to set all and update the software.
Installation on the tv stand was easy, four screws for the legs and plug few cables.
The picture delivered was a surprise for me. Great vivid picture. The sound is OK when watching news...then for the rest you need a sound bar or a receiver with some decent real speakers.
