We had to exchange the first one since the timer did not work. The second 110% better. We did not know that the first actually had a volume issue. The exchange is great. Would not have an issue buying again or recommending

We bought this to hold us over until we could afford a better brand, it was ok, did the job, nothing really special about it, if you’re short on money it’s a good buy.

I was initially very happy with this TV which was being used for a sport/gaming room. Unfortunately, after only being used for one month, the screen must have cracked from a very simple move from one room to the other. The tv was not mishandled in any way but now shows a large vertical stripe on the screen image. According to geek squad this is not covered under the manufacturers warranty. Difficult to recommend a product that is not backed by the manufacturer. Buy the protection plan.

A 4K for the Masses

I was in the market for a new TV and saw this on sale. I have heard of the brand before but never owned one. After seeing all the specs I thought I'd give it a try, I've owned Sony's and LG's in the past and usually stay away from brands like this. Set up was easy and the TV looks good ascetically, picture and sound quality are superb (after some tweaking). All the ports work and the smart portion is basic but adequate. HDR10 works flawlessly with the PS4, and it does everything EXCEPT for the Motion Rate 120. Its not an option you can adjust in the settings. The TV is 60Hz, I called customer service just to make sure. After explaining it to them, the person told me that my TV does not support Motion Rate 120. Even though its listed right on the box and on Hisense's website. I am disappointed as this was one of the selling points of the TV. She then told me my case would be forwarded to their tech team and then I'll receive a call. This is where I'm at with it, I would have given this TV 5 stars if it was listed as 60Hz, and not be mislead. I'll update this review if they ever get back to me.

Great Entry Level 4k Tv- Wont Break The Bank

Hisense is producing quality TV's at a price point that I am willing to pay.. No way would I would pay nearly a Grand for a 55 inch TV that Sony, Samsung, LG are producing. I owned an expensive Sony and it died one year after purchase and Warranty expired 2 weeks before it died! I am NEVER buying a Sony TV again!
TV works great so far. The Apps are quick, easy to control and most important responsive to commands. The remote feels well built and the buttons feel premium( No Light up Feature) but that is asking to much for this price point.
Access Apps by pressing Netflix, VUDU, Amazon, Youtube on the remote, very convenient.
Picture is smooth out of the box, I have not even calibrated the TV and it looks 10/10 so far. I am watching Netflix 4k and the picture is looks vibrant, smooth, color is vivid, alive and with the screen size you feel immersed!
Pro: Picture, Apps, Remote,
Cons: Plastic Construction.. I guess if you spend more they give you metal legs and such..
Overall: Great entry Level 4k with basic features that won't break the bank. I like the TV and would buy again! I might even go 65 inch!!

Best entry level 4K TV out there

I have no complaints for this TV. For the price and the size, it is an absolute steal. The pixels, color, and quality and perfect. I was also very surprised at the power of the sound. For the most part going up to a volume of 25 is plenty loud to watch movies at. Gaming on it looks stunning, and there is little to know input lag at all. I feel no different playing Call Of Duty on this TV than on my old one, possibly even better. The smart TV apps load nicely and are very easy to access. We will see about longevity, however this TV so far performs better than I could ask for with how affordable it is to get into entry level 4K. 100% recommend. Hisense is really building a name for themselves!

I am not very familiar with Hisense, but after reading that they took over the Samsung manufacturing plant in north America, I decided to give the TV a shot. I got this on sale for $429.00, and cant say enough good things about it. The picture is fantastic in 4k..the sound is deep and loud, and it also has HDR for amazing colors. My only complaint the lack of apps such as HULU. Not a big concern for me as I have many devices streaming this through the TV. Also, I am surprised the description on best buys website does not mention HDR. It is a big selling point. Also, the TV is 120hz, another spec that best buy did not mention. Bang for the buck, I am more than happy with the set.

Affordable 4k TV with good picture and great sound

The bottom line: This tv is at an affordable price. Has a very clear picture and has surprisingly good sound!
The long story:
I upgraded from a 32" Hisense LCD 1080p HD TV. I have been satisfied as a Hisense customer for a number of years. They have affordable products that are pretty high quality. If you don't need the absolute best in TVs - Hisense is a practical, affordable choice. I don't believe you really get two, three or four times the value from other TV brands compared to the performance of this tv. For under $500 you can't go wrong and you aren't missing out on much picture quality.
The TV has a fantastic picture that still makes me say "wow!!" even after a week of use. The TV has a refresh rate of at least 60 hz, not sure if it is capped there. I am able to game in 4k 60fps on this tv and it looks crystal clear. The TV comes pre-installed with Netflix, Youtube, and Amazon video apps which in my book is actually a negative, I don't need a "smart" tv that has to be connected to the internet. This tv still has the option to not connect to a network if you don't want to. I will be trying that option soon as most "smart" TV's are extremely vulnerable from a security perspective.
I purchased the Best Buy protection plan for a 5-year guarantee against damage or defect. I doubt the tv will have any issues, but it pays to be safe.
The sound of the tv needs to be commended as it is loud even set at 40/100. The sound comes out of the back of the tv from two locations to give a bit of a "surround sound" vibe. I actually stopped using my attached speakers because the TV sounded louder and had a better quality!
I would recommend to a friend without a second thought. It's a good tv at a very reasonable price. I would recommend to buy an extended warranty as some large TVs in this price range often have some bugs to be worked out.

Not needing a TV immediately, I had the benefit of being able to spend a couple of months researching televisions. After reading reviews and going into the store to look at picture quality, I kept coming back to buying this TV. The only roadblock was the name, I had never heard of Hisense. However, google let me know that Hisense owns Sharp, and the quality of the two are nearly identical. This is easily confirmed with an eye test...so I bought it. Set up could not have been easier. I absolutely love the picture quality and Smart TV format. I added Chromecast, and that was seamless as well. I am very happy with my decision. I have a Sharp 60 inch Aquos in my other home, and this picture is far superior.

GREAT TV FOR THE PRICE

This is a great tv, especially for the price. Best Buy told me Hisense is a Sharp brand or cheaper brand and though the physical aspects may be considered cheaply made, the quality of picture is not. We have a 65" Sharp purchased from Best Buy a year ago and the remote for Hisense works for the Sharp so there must be a connection. We havent tested every feature but movies, games, etc all work. As others mentioned, you get different quality from different HDMI ports. For the price, especially when on sale, this tv is worth it. My only concern is long term use. Its been almost a month and no issues....so far.

Prior to this tv, I had a 10 year old Vizio. I wish I'd kept it. The picture is fine, there's nothing wrong in that respect, however I still rely upon my Fire stick for programming for several reasons. One is that this tv barely picks up my Wi-Fi, but the fire stick does just fine. Second, it has extremely limited apps built-in or available for download, in my opinion negating the idea of a "smart" TV. The price is nice but to me it's not worth the trade off. I see more pixelated and buffering tv than I ever did with my trusty old Vizio.
