After owning the TV for 2 months and watching at most 5 hours/week, I can’t even get the set to turn on even after unplugging/plugging it back in. The light turns on and absolutely nothing happens. Even when it was working, the lag was terrible sometimes taking several minutes to load an app or access menus. My previous TV was a 5 year old Vizio so it’s not like I was hard to please, but this has been a complete disappointment. I guess you get what you pay for. Save yourself the hassle and buy something else.

I purchased this TV on sale on Black Friday weekend. I did a lot of comparison shopping for specific hardware features (3 HDMI, Composite Video/Analog, Analog audio out) and this TV met my needs. I found that most TVs today have only 2 HDMI ports and no analog support at all.
More importantly, I wanted a TV that could play .mp4 videos from my Windows 10 PC media server. Many TVs with proprietary media player apps will see the DLNA and/or SMB server on the home network but will not play the content. The proprietary media players seem to be very picky about how video and audio are encoded.
The Android OS allowed me to download media players from Google Play Store. I tried a couple of DLNA players from Play Store with mixed results. I ended up using VLC. It is up and running and, as expected, VLC has no issues as to how content is encoded.
The picture quality is great. However, the TV's backlighting could be improved. Variations in backlighting intensity can be observed with solid color backgrounds but is not an issue with active video.
I have noticed some occasional lip synch issues, especially when digital sound enhancements are enabled. The TV's lip synch adjustment does not help. It only works in one direction, making the delay worse.
The boot up time is not an issue. It is similar to other Smart TVs.
When running apps, the processor speed is fine. In fact, it is faster than other Android devices I have in the house.
The standard IR remote control is fine for TV viewing. However, it can be awkward for Android apps like searches and Web browsing that require a lot of text entry.
In general, I am happy with my purchase.

Overall, this is a great TV. The only reason why I gave 4 stars is because sometimes it is a little slow and laggy. The sound and picture is great, and the tv itself is pretty lightweight and easy to hang up on the wall. I'm happy with it, the only thing that could be better is fixing the long response time when you click on apps or try to type something in a search bar.

Had a 10 year old Samsung 50" go bad during the weekend so browsing around this site I found this TV on sale for $299.
Absolutely love it thus far as it replaced the Samsung and I also took a streaming device completely out of line as well. Android TV is fast and responsive and plays my media sources great.
My only ding against it, and loss of a star, is futile attempts to control the volume level while using an optical cable to my Vizio sound-bar, I simply could not get this to work, so I am running a 3.5" to RCA cable, which obviously is not idea.
Also to note, the TV can be woken up via a simple Wake On LAN command, which helps with some home automation tasks, but I haven't seen a way to be able to turn off the TV via Hubitat, Home Assistant, MQTT or Node-RED.

Ok TV, great price; where I live was under $320 with tax.
Where this TV went right.
HDR content looks better than 4K UHD Content, make no mistake it is HDR10 and its a very soft HDR compared to QLED/OLED Etc. This TV goes neck to neck with a current add on for Android TV OS. The performance is near identical, and its alarming. More to the point, depending on your soundbar, etc You can actually get Dolby Atmos out of it. Plex I can get HDR and true 7.1 or Dolcby atmos no issues. Disney+ shows an HDR picture, but no Atmos/7.1. The wireless exceeds what a TV twice as much can handle on a sustained throughput.
Where this TV went wrong.
The remote is your Classic IR style, and that leaves almost too much to be desired. A 2.4 GHZ remote in many cases may have been cheaper to produce.
The storage memory, its low but more importantly slow, but remedied with a high speed USB add on drive and an app to move the other apps to the new USB drive. I get factors had to measured to lower the cost, but this feels like they had it and used it versus getting the right part. The stutters, and lag definitely spawn form this, but remember this is almost identical to The people who make Android OS's product.
Bottom line: this will look great with the older gen Sony/Xbox consoles, the new consoles not so much. Great for a guest Bedroom/ Garage TV to get new tech updates where you don't need or want the finest TV, but you may want a good picture. The picture is good, there is better, but you will be paying much more for that picture.
Can't say I'd recommend as a Main TV, Wouldn't recommend for the new Sony/Xbox consoles either. Great budget replacement at something that can do 60 FPS.

With almost 1 month in, no complaints about this TV. At $350, I have no problem recommending. It has a slightly superior picture to our older TCL 55' but, to be fair, the TCL was $50 cheaper. Motion in video games is a bit blurry but expected at a TV at this price. Remote is easy to use. Setup was as simple as you would expect. It is on the heavier side so prepare accordingly if doing a wall mount. Loaded apps are standard and work just fine.

I absolutely love the androidtv OS. So for the money, it doesnt get much better than this TV. You'll see the corners cut to make it cheap once you start navigating through the menus and apps. But to be realistic, you spend most of the time on this tv watching videos anyway, which this TV doesnt as great as any other TV within 300 dollars more of what this one costs.

The good
I could maybe nitpick about sound and picture quality by comparing it with a more expensive TV (about $600).
Honestly, I feel stupid about giving more money for the more expensive one.
I do not see/hear that much difference between a more expensive TV set and this one.
After a month of use, I can say that I'm happy with:
- Picture quality
- Sound
- Speed with which it switches from one app to another.
The bad
The only thing I have significant issues with is the HDR compatibility with Xbox One X.
Whatever I do, I always get the message from Xbox that TV is not HDR compatible.
At first, Xbox refused it to be used even as a 4K display.
After I changed the HDMI cable, Xbox recognized it as a 4K display, but it still no HDR even when I got quite expensive, short HDMI cable.
The problem is that I bought the TV for my son so that he can use it with his Xbox. A bit of letdown on the HDR issue, but still son is quite happy with it.
-------
I use quite often cast option, so I guess it is normal to have a glitch from time to time (restart solves it).
I had no other issues during a month or so that I use the TV.
-------
I would recommend buying this TV. You can expect that performance will be on pair with TV sets that cost as much as $600 or even more.

This is my first Android TV, but here are my initial thoughts...4K UHD? Maybe, but certainly nowhere near as good as my Samsung UHD, not even close...This "Smart TV" doesn't seem very smart, I won't go into huge detail (too much typing), but something as easy as setting a sleep timer, should be ya know, EASY, not with this TV (there are many other nitpicks)...Slow, this thing loads fast enough (from power on), but that's it where the speed ends, loading apps takes WAY longer than it does on my Samsung, or even my cheap Insignia Amazon/Alexa enabled TV...Sound quality, this thing sounds absolutely terrible, I know flat screens can have notoriously bad speakers, but c'mon, these things straight up SUCK (I ended up buying a soundbar)...If you're looking for a cheap, "Smart TV" that has decent video quality, and one that's exclusively for a spare room or garage, then grab this one...If it's going to be your "main TV", I'd honestly look at something else.

Super sharp picture, colors are nice. Some light bleed around the edges, but nothing too excessive. Audio is pretty weak. Android TV is pretty nice to use and snappy.
For this price point, you'd be hard pressed to find anything better.

If you want a solid TV with a great operating system and Google, then this is it. Definitely one of the best black friday TV's available this year for the price point. I purchased the 75''for our living room and liked it so much that I went back and purchased the 55'' for my basement. All and all Surprisingly good picture and sound. Satisfied and within budget.

Nice Android tv for the price. The edge of the screen has a white haze around the edge that is very noticeable when screen is black or dark scenes are shown. If Hisense can correct white haze around the edge, this would be an awesome tv. Picture, features are good. Wish that the remote was back-lit.

Tv picture good! Quality is good! Only one problem.... out of the blue for no reason the volume will just go up. I thought the cat was stepping on the remote at first as I would run over and turn it down. After a few more times I realized volume just goes up on its own for no reason!
