This 4K TV is perfect for the low price. The H8G has a beautiful panel that looks great when playing video games. It has HDMI 2.0 Format, low imput lag and HDR 10 (not HDR 10+). The motion enhancement I only recommended depending for what kind of entertainment you are using. Since this will enhance the quality to the so called Soap Opera effect. It could affect the picture quality in high action scenes. But its perfect to watch movies and tv shows of the 30's throughout the 70's using the smooth option.

Good TV but Viewing Angles!

The only thing I feel is holding this TV back is it's viewing angles. Otherwise, the remote, AndroidTV and picture are all on point. As long as you sit near the front of it.
From the sides it gets washed out. The LG NanoCell I can say has much better viewing angles than this Hisense but it's a trade off for the Hisense being better for movie watching front and center.
For the price however, it's a very good TV. My suggestion is to get a swivel TV Mount for people on the edges.

No bigger bang for the money...not ever $300-$400 more! I sorted through many UHD sets before choosing this one. The picture quality is wow. Set up was very very simple. Loaded with all the apps you could ever use via google play store. The sound quality I wont address because I have it run through my entertainment system.
I started out favoring the LG Nano but it has motion issues...then a Vizio (which I was replacing) but not impressed with their app updating (non-existent) And Samsung, Sony & TLC...Very happy with this choice!

I did a lot of research and read several reviews from different sites on this TV before purchasing and all I can say is they were right. This is a great TV that competes with much more expensive competitors. I have to give Hisense credit they put out a quality TV with this model. The colors are fantastic, contrast is good and the full array dimming is much better than what I thought it would be. HDR content looks great but I do think it looks better when Dolby Vision is available. The fact that you are getting Dolby Vision on a $500 TV is insane. You really can't go wrong with this TV.

Doesn't Play Nice with AV Receivers

We primarily watch satellite TV, but occasionally stream YouTube through the TV. Since the pandemic, I also would try to stream Facebook workouts through the TV but ended up using a newer TV. I was offered a discount and saw an opportunity to try out a newer Smart TV. I had never heard of Hisense, but was excited to get it delivered to my doorstep from Amazon.
Setup was easy to swap out TV’s. I tried to do the Smart Setup by signing into my Google account, but it did not find my device. However, I was able to later go into my Home and see the device.
One nice feature is being able to name the individual inputs, so when changing them you don’t have to remember which device is plugged into what input.
The ugly. I have emailed support to see how to get around this. HDMI CEC doesn't work well, if at all. Our old TV used the AV receiver to switch input signals. We had all our devices connected to the AV receiver via HDMI cables with one HDMI cable going from the AV receiver output to a TV input. When any of the devices were turned on (satellite receiver, DVD etc), the AV receiver would automatically switch inputs and turn on the TV. We tried to keep the same configuration with the new TV which only led to chaos.
Update – Called Hisense to see how to get our setup to be best configured. Tech was knowledgeable and advised that the TV is set up to turn on everything it is connected to. The TV is supposed to be the center of the entertainment system and not set up to go through an A/V receiver. Based on this, unfortunately, we switched back to our old TV to be able to use our A/V receiver.

This TV is the perfect size for my living room. It has great, vibrant colors. Picture is incredible. Very easy set-up. Tweaked the settings once connected to find the perfect view. Added a Roku Express for other channels I like to watch. Probably could have found them anyway, but already had the device. Now has more channels and offerings than I’ll ever have time for. Also added a sound bar that enhanced the experience. It is on the included stand instead of wall mounted, and the sound bar just makes it better, even though it wasn’t bad to start with. So far, no problems, whatsoever.
If you are looking for a TV that has, and does it all, I’d highly suggest looking at this one.

Our impression changed with this TV. We own a Hisense TV already and it has a lot of issues so we are able to make comparisons. This Hisense H8G Quantum 4K UHD TV was easy to set up. It has more apps available than my old Hisense TV and it doesn't disconnect from the wi-fi when it's turned off. It provides a vibrant and high quality picture. Dolby technology provides great audio experience. Picture and audio provides a more immersive experience. It also adjusts audio settings automatically for sports which is very innovative. Overall, we enjoy our new TV.

The tv is easy to set up and use. Quality is good. Had some issues with voice control from Google Assistant devices. It worked fine from the remote, but using my phone or Google Home doesn't always work. Storage also got full quickly but I removed some of the default apps.

The picture quality on this TV is great. I watch a review video and took the advise to switch the mode to Daytime Theater and the color and contrast are perfect.
The setup on the TV was simple and the network connection and app setup were completed in a short time.

Well, purchased this to replaced a Viera plasma so the picture was a big upgrade. Watched and read reviews and decided to go with this model based on the value to quality ratio. The picture was very good out of the box and after some light 'calibration' using the Disney disc I was able to improve it and it looks really good. Other pluses are the speakers and number of HDMI ports. The problem with this TV is the android system. It is flaaaaky. Have to unplug/re-plug this TV at least once a week as the apps become unresponsive. Sometimes the Prime app doesn't work regardless. I search for firmware updates regularly but have not seen any lately. Thinking about getting something else but if I do I think I'll stay away from android, unless they can address this issue.

Great picture but sound synching issues

Overall, this is a very good tv. I wasn't happy at first. The picture was not great, so I bought some higher end hdmi cables, rated for 8k, and the picture improved greatly. The sound is fairly good. The speakers are on the back and bounce the sound off the wall. If you hook up a soundbar or basic surround sound, you may have issues. The audio synching is horrible and it needs to be adjusted every time you change channels. But if you run everything through an AV receiver, this should not be an issue. I just use the built in speakers for now, since this is not our main tv. Some people have had issues with backlight bleed, but I have not. The Theater Day setting seems the most accurate, unless I am watching sports. Then I use the Sports setting. Oh, and I like Android TV. It is easy to use and responds quickly.

After lots of research I ended up on this TV. You can’t beat the value for the money for this TV. The higher nit brightness is a game changer in this price range. It has a slick design and it just looks great.
The image quality is stunning for a 55”, $500 TV. The Android operating system is very responsive and it just works.
My only wish is that it’s remote had a universal remote function for its volume buttons to be able to use it with various sound bars.
I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

So far, so good. I really enjoy the crisp pictures and easy to navigate menu. The color accuracy of the TV depends on the picture settings, so you have to play around and see what looks best for different programs (sports, movies, etc.) as well as daytime vs. nighttime viewing. The overall brightness could be better, esp. when watching near a bright window during the day, but at night, the black levels are dark enough for most TV programs and movie scenes.

I'm really happy with my purchase in the first week of limited use. I watch a couple of Netflix series that could be considered action genre so explosions and car chases and everything looks fantastic on Theatre Night mode.
I use a sound bar and subwoofer that connected seamlessly with Bluetooth and are controlled with the Hisense remote. Also I play video games with Xbox one S and using Hisense HDRGame mode of which turns on automatically once I change inputs.

This is a really nice TV for the price it's at! The picture is really nice! Unfortunately, the TV's operating system is a nightmare! TV tuner for live broadcast networks is horrific! There is no EPG (Channel guide info) or info for any of the stations which makes it really tough to navigate. There are not any reviews/ratings for the App Store so trying to find a 3rd party app to replace or add to a built in feature is impossible! Navigating the settings menu is exhausting as it is very unorganized!
The TV picture quality is very nice, but I can't decide if it is nice enough to put up that mess of an operating system!

The image quality it’s perfect, colors are vivid and there’s no match for this price, even better than some expensive ones. The sound is awesome and really loud if you need it to be. Price: good. Image quality: excellent. Access to streaming services not already installed depends on Google account log in, but service apps are easy to add. However, we replaced this TV because of the buggy, slow operating system. When switching from a streaming service to a broadcast channel, the TV rebooted every time, and even just turning it on meant waiting for it to come to life, eventually. We had another Hisense that had the same shortcomings and would not buy another.
