TV has very good picture but has a reoccurring issue with lip sync. Hisense customer service is non existent.

Hadn't heard about Hisense - one of the Best Buy sales people really talked it up to me. Was actually very interested in the Vizio P55-F1 (2018 model). At the BB rep's recommendation and against my gut I went with the Hisense. The display was definitely not as bright as I expected and the crispness was not there as I had hoped. Tried it with 4K Blueray, Amazon Fire 4K, and basic cable and regular Apple TV. I was not satisfied. Then the RTings.com review came out and they gave is an OK rating - not great or superb (other than the sound - which is actually as good as they say it is). Ultimately I took it back to Best Buy and exchanged it for the Vizio P55 F1 - and am much happier with the display (however 2 of the Vizio's HDMI ports are not working - however, Vizio's tech support seems amazing - they answered my call after not too long a hold time and they are sending out a technician at their cost to repair the TV in my home - within 4 days - I'm impressed by that - especially when I'd read that Vizio's tech support was not the best - I'd say that Vizio's tech support is excellent. Hope my experiences help you make the right decision.

Colors are bright and picture is so realistic. Love that I can cast my computer to it. Google Assistant is so handy to have. Looking at you tube is so much better then on a small computer screen. 4K UHD TV with HDR makes a real difference. Sound is very loud did not need a sound bar.

The nex days after my tv was installed, it stopped working.I called Hisense. I was advised to ship the tv to Hisense. Of course I had to dismount it from the wall, pack it and ship it to Hisense. A week later my tv came back with a new mother board. I again had to mount it on the wall. I had paid to have it mounted in the first place. Not happy. Now i have had the tv back for two weeks. Works very well. Good picture.

The Hisense 55 has one of the best picture quality that I've seen between many models. For the price range, the picture quality compares to televisions hundreds of dollars more expensive. Setup is easy and it has many user definable options.

Fantastic picture gives a clear in depth viewing experience, great sound so no need for an additional sound bar, the USB 3.0 port is idea for local storage of 4K videos for easy and smooth playback. The TV's software could be much better though for easier access of the USB storage without having to unplug and plug back in a storage device to access. Multiple HDMI provides enough ports to not need a switch unlike some other brands. Of note changing sound feed to PCM instead of Dolby gives a better synchronization between picture and sound. Do recommend extended warranty as having a replacement shipped under warranty creates a very high risk of damage in shipping (received 2 damaged TV's from them before and purchased this to replace it).

I bought this last fall & the only problem I have is that sometimes the TV acts up when you go to turn it on & you have to disconnect it. other than that it doesn’t give me much trouble, it’s very fast, easy to work & love the simple but classic look of it.

Right away I noticed how nice the picture looks. A huge upgrade from my last TV. The home screen is pretty convenient, and it's easy to add new apps. One confusing thing to me was that it claimed be a true 120hz display, but the hdmi inputs say 30hz or 60hz. (why aren't they all at least 60?) The only other weird thing was that it wanted me to do like five software updates before being able to use it. Other than that, this is a really nice TV. The size is great, and the picture quality is incredible. I was also pleasantly surprised with the sound quality of the TV's built-in speakers. I typically use a sound bar, but one day it didn't turn on and the TV defaulted to its own speakers, and I couldn't tell the difference right away.

The picture quality and sound is great no disappointments there but there is a enhanced mode that partially works. Hopefully a patched update will improve this function to all HDMI inputs independently instead of across the board, because this affects the audio on the other inputs.

Bought this for my mother in law. Did get the TV on sale at my local BestBuy. Was easy to setup and install, she is coming from a 32" TV in which the best that it could muster was 720p. She was so excited to be able to see the TV clearly from a good distance. This TV has a great set of stock speakers as well, while I would not say they replace a sound bar, they are amazing compared to what most TV's come with. In my opinion the TV is a great product, I have now purchased three Hisense TV's and each one has been an amazing TV for someone in my family.

It's works mostly. Good quality on the picture. Easy to handle. The only problem is that the built-in WiFi keeps dropping and even with the modem in the room it randomly won't be able to find it. After looking for a solution online I found it's a common problem with no real solution. If you want to use it to connect directly to use the Smart TV capabilities you're in for a struggle.

Overall I am very happy with this television, but with just a few negatives to mention. Connections. Four HDMI ports, optical out, component in, 3.5 headphone out, and even USB. Pretty much all you will need. Particularly since most things just use HDMI these days. Android TV and the other smart functions. Connecting to my wi-fi was easy and it holds a solid connection. YouTube & Netflix work awesome and look great. The Google voice assistant take a bit of getting used to and has its limitations so I don't see myself really using that. But overall, the smart tv functions work great. Picture. The colors are very clean and accurate and the black levels are great (particularly in 4K). Don't see any hot spots on the screen either. And this all holds true even when not using a 4K source. I have my doubts you would be able to tell the difference in the picture from this set and tv sets costing three times as much. It really is impressive. Sound. All I can say is this is probably the best sounding tv I have ever heard! Seriously, the back firing Harmon Kardon speakers are beautiful sounding and plenty powerful. Now my few negatives. First, the remote seems very flimsy. I have another Hisense tv that is only a year or so older and the remote feels ten times better built and laid out. Fortunately, once I had everything set up I pretty much put the remote away and just use the universal one that came from my cable provider (Charter). Second is the input selection. As far as I can tell, the only way to change the source input is to open the smart functions and go into its menu in the top right corner and select the source from there. Not really a big deal now that I know what to do. But this is really something you should be able to do from the remote. Instructions. Or should I say, the lack of. You do get a basic instruction guide, but if you want anything more you need to go online. I know I know, everyone does this these days. But with a tv, you kinda still need this in written form to get going. And last (and this is the biggy), depending on the input source, you may have an issue with lip sync. Over the air broadcasts, online content (YouTube, Netfix and so on) I have no problem with. But my main input source, my cable box, has this issue and there seems to be no fix for it. Now in all fairness, this might be more of an issue with the cable box. But having seen a good number of others comment on the lip sync issue leads me to think otherwise. Keep in mind this only happens with the built in speakers. No problem running thru a soundbar. But with as great as the speakers are on this set it is a shame to not be able to use them with my main input source. And just an FYI, there are adjustments in the settings for lip sync but they did not help. So overall I am very happy with this tv and I can happily give it four stars. If I didn't have a sound bar to use I might think differently.

I almost returned it but after multiple updates and figuring out the Android interface, I’m glad I kept it. The picture is far better than my 4 year old Sony and the sound is very good. And the design is top notch.
