I was looking for a 4k tv and wanted something nice that performed well and had most of the latest features. Unfortunately I didnt have a sky high budget. I looked at lower end sony samsung and Lg. I looked at TCL and almost bought a 6 series but it had some viewing angle issues. I was close to dropping $850 on an Lg sk8000pua then I seen the Hisense H9plus. The Pictures looked great, no angle issues like tcl. The blacks looked black colours looked as bright as the LG set. It is thin, looks great and well put together. So I decided to go with it.
I have had it a few weeks now. The built in speakers are good for a thin Tv but not as good as my sound bar with sub so I'm not using the speakers, turning them off was more tricky than my old samsung. I had to email support for help and they did respond with where to find the setting I needed. The tv has a few other little faults, no built in cable Management on the back, this seems also lacking in other budget sets too. The andoid tv os is nice and simple to use if you are used to andriod but lacks an Amazon prime video app. So no 4k amazon unless you add a fire tv. 4k Netflix looks great, I been watching Luke Cage in dolby vision. I do have a TiVo connected and it has all those apps but no 4k support, the Tivo does look wonderful on the tvs display though. Even friends that have been over have commented on the how good sets colours and over picture is. Picture quality is a very stong feature of this tv for sure.
Some say other reviews say it disconnects from wifi and doesnt maintain a connection, I have only seen that mine drops it when the Tv is off and that it takes a few seconds to reconnect, and find the internet when powered on again. I can stream 4k shows with out issues. I do have a good linksys router and use 5Ghz wireless.
I really want to give this tv 5 stars but mainly I am holding one back due to Android TV not supporting Amazon prime video.

The TV is an affordable option with plenty smart home apps. However Play Store is missing DirecTV Now which my family is using. Direct casting is not working perfectly and it can be corrected with a Comcast Or similar device.

Got it for under $500. Set up took some time. Doesn’t pull in many stations. Worth the buy. Go for it.

My First Foray In 4K

OK, as mentioned, this is my first experience with a 4K TV.
On first receiving unit, it was right around 60 pounds but packaging had handles so it was easy for one guy to handle. The packaging was TIGHT which is a good thing, but it definitely required 2 people to get out of package.
The TV is very slim with a manageable bulge towards the lower portion where the guts and brains reside. I am impressed with the overall look, feel and texture. I was not sure what I was going to get with an entry level product but I was pleasantly surprised. The bezel on the front was also quite thin. In all, I am impressed.
Set-up was easy. Lay TV flat, insert both feet, screw down 3 screws per foot, plug in, insert batteries in remote and your off.
Initial software setup was quick and easy. Less than 5 minutes and I was watching Ozark in 4K on Netflix. The interface was clean and intuitive, although setting up the Google account could have been easier to find, but no biggie.
The remote is simple, efficient and effective. Nothing to brag about bit certainly capable.
After reading other reviews, I am glad I got the version that had the Android TV interface instead of the previous interface Hisense used. We are a Google/Android house so it fits nicely into our current systems. Having Google Assistant on the remote is a nice feature that the kids think is pretty cool.
The sound was honestly fairly impressive for a flat panel TV, but lets be honest, almost all users will probably have it tied into a soundbar or home theater system, but I felt it was important to note. They did a good job with the Harman / Kardon sound.
What do you buy a 4k UHD TV ultimately for? The picture, of course. To that end, the picture is really quite nice. I am not going to get into what some other reviewers probably will comparing "depths of black" and how the DLR compares to others because to be honest, since this is my first experience, I honestly don't know. I will close this subject as I opened it in saying the picture is really pretty nice.
End of the day, it's a good TV, especially for the entry-minded and/or fiscally conservative buyer.

The picture is fine, but the sync between the video and the audio if off by a lot. I have been working qithe Company to fix but they have told me they were escalating it to the next level....that was over a week ago. I have to pause and restart just to get it closer. Going to return it...it sucks!
