I was just looking for another tv nothing special and that’s what I got. On startup it blinks for a minute and then everything runs like normal. I was not quick enough to get back to the store for a refund so now I have a blinking tv.

I was really hoping to like this tv, but it really isn’t that great. My previous 4K tv didn’t have as good of a picture, but it was a better overall tv. When I installed the tv it looked great before I turned it on. I like the styling with the slim bezel. When I turned it on, set up was pretty easy. It does not come with a manual, but set up is pretty intuitive. The android operating system works very well and navigation is pretty easy once you get the hang of it. I have a sound bar and setup with my sound bar worked just like my old tv, so I didn’t have to change any settings. I have DishNetwork and this hisense tv uses the same codes as my old tv of another brand. So that was great. The picture is very sharp and lifelike. The colors are not bad out of the box. I have not made any adjustments. My wife made a comment about the colors, but she is ok with them now. When we first powered it up there was a vertical line like 1 pixel wide. It was very annoying especially in bright scenes. After about a week, the pixels started working. So it seems fine for now. Just hope they don’t go out again. There is one other really annoying thing about this tv. The audio and video keep getting out of sync. I never had that problem before. Turning it off and on again does not fix it If I reset my dish network receiver sometimes it will fix it, but eventually it is off again. There is a lip sync option in the menu but we couldn’t get that to work. There is also an audio delay option but that didn’t help either. The audio is slower than the picture. So the delay only made it worse. The remote is not very easy to use. There are not many buttons and it is easy to accidentally push the wrong buttons. It is not backlit either. That would help if you could see the buttons. I can’t recommend this tv to anyone. It could be a very nice tv if the audio and video sync could be fixed. Until then not so much.

The TV work great for about 1 month after about 1 month I lost one of the features which then the TV started telling me that it did not support the functionality after which another week or two later when I turn the TV on it goes into a bootloop switching from the Hisense logo to the Android logo and then it resets itself I would steer clear of the Hisense television brand until they fix their software

So this tv has a great picture, very clear but I do have a few recommendations. First, the remote is has all the buttons smooth so when you aren’t looking directly at it you end up changing the input or opening the menu. The remote needs allot of work but if you use it by syncing it to you cable remote you will be fine. Secondly the sound settings don’t seem to work seem less with sound bars. I felt like I had to play with it too much. Lastly the picture from side angles seems a bit greenish yellow. If you use your cable remote and are watching it directly in front it’s an amazing picture but otherwise not. That’s why I gave it 4 stars because it just takes too long to set up compared to LG or Samsung.

I have to constantly RESET this smart television due to volume not working and/or television freezing up. There’s also white spots in certain areas of the screen. I have a Sony that I have owned since 2008 that is still running strong. I haven’t EVER been this FRUSTRATED with a television.

So much hype on this tv and it didn’t meet my expectations. I was expecting better quality and picture and it was just poorly executed. The picture was awful and colors were way too bright. Even fixing the color settings, it didn’t help. Not a big fan.

If you are having issues with picture quality, it may help to factory reset the television by navigating to Settings->Storage and Reset->Factory Data Reset. It may also be beneficial to update the firmware on the television by navigating to Settings->About->System Update->Check for Update. Hisense made a nice-on-the-eyes 4K TV with the H9 Plus 55" television. It took about a half an hour from unboxing, to system updates, network connection, to entering my Google profile - and you may need a buddy because this is a heavy flat screen. Once set up, the brilliant screen took over the room. The H9 Plus boasts beautiful blacks and colors and gives you a wonderful viewing experience. The sound is decent, but I recommend secondary audio options like a soundbar to have an immersive viewing experience. The remote control takes a little getting used to, as it does not have the traditional number pads. However, it does have some nice shortcut keys for apps like Netflix and YouTube (though with an Android operating system, no Amazon apps), and its Bluetooth connectivity allows for voice commands using Google Assistant. If anything, I do wish the Home key was more prominently placed on the remote, as it is inconspicuously positioned under the directional keys and labeled with a circle, which will confuse most people expecting a house icon. Finally, another nice perk is the built-in Chromecast which allows for streaming directly from your mobile devices. I did have some issues with the WiFi connectivity dropping off and possibly interfering with my network, and simultaneously, I did have a few issues with the television recognizing when I had connected an Ethernet cable. These issues are small hiccups in what appears to be a very reliable, affordable, and beautiful 4K television. Overall, the H9 Plus makes TV- and movie-watching a more enjoyable experience, which is always something I can recommend with ease. Full disclosure, I received this product for my honest, unbiased review.

Spent all night messing with the TV. Picture quality is great after calibration. Out of the box it's a little harsh. Hooked it up to appletv 4k, xbox, ps4, and tivo. Picture looks fantastic on 4k and regular content alike. Now for the less savory aspects of the tv... the operating system and manual are horrible. The manual is similar to ones found on TVs 40 years ago, but it's a modern smart TV. Setup beyond the most bare bones startup is a headache. I have a Dolby atmos system, and the TV is a struggle to figure out how to pass thru the audio to the receiver, make sure CEC is operating, etc. Androidtv sputters along. Played Avengers on Google Play, and it buffered every 5 minutes. Switched to my appletv and it was smooth as butter. So overall, my thoughts are as a display, it's great. The price is perfect, picture is fabulous, and the built in sound is better than ANYTHING rivaling it on the market (Harman speakers, tho small, are clean and punchy). If you want to utilize the smart features and android apps, you may be disappointed. It's a sloppy OS, app support is sketchy at best. Also, if you choose to pick this up in store, bring a large SUV or truck and leave the kids at home. The box is HUGE. Squeezing it into a Ford focus would not be a fun experience. Ps... Jurassic park 4k remaster is an AWESOME film to first watch on the TV once you get it setup. The first glimpse of brachiosaurus brings a tear to the eye. Looks GORGEOUS.

A Good TV That Falls Short For 4K HDR

Recommending a TV that is not one of the high end ones can be a difficult thing. Depending on what type of TV you own makes a big difference in how you will feel about your new TV, so with that being said lets talk about what is good about the tv. Lets start of with the colors, the tv has good colors it does support WCG so if you are watching something in HDR you do see the benefit of the added colors. It also has relatively good black levels for an LED ( do not compare it to an OLED because there is no comparison for the black levels on an OLED). The tv does have local dimming but to be honest I could not really see the difference when I had it activated even at the highest setting. The tv has relatively good brightness for standard content. It however cannot get that bright when watching HDR content and that really minimizes the HDR effect, and it makes it hard to watch HDR content during the day. I did enjoy using the tv to play games, It does look pretty good and have very low input lag. Android TV is the operating system the TV uses and while it is much better to use than before I still personally dislike it a lot. Every TV I have every used with Android TV always feels incredible slow and just a chore to use. Thankfully they have much improved it and it does not feel as slow. Streaming worked well the picture quality looked good while streaming. If you do not have the means to get a high end TV but still want to jump into 4K this tv is pretty solid. you get a lot of features including Android TV so you can stream tv shows and movies directly from the TV. overall it is a pretty solid TV I would say much better than most TV's in this range.

This Hisense 55 4K LED Smart TV is a wonderful update to my Hisense 50 inch 4K from two years ago that is still going strong and never experienced a problem. Let me say fist that WI-FI issues and being to dark to watch at night is totally false. I connected ROKU, Amazon Fire Stick with Kodi and WI-FI connection is excellent. Initial setup was quick and working with calibration of wealth of menu options but I find less is better picture and preference for me. Don't have to do much to watch amazing picture and what an improvement over early previous model of 50 inch 4K. It has a sleek premium look on TV Stand. Google Assistant is convenient and gives you loads of ways to watch and experience so much entertainment once you get the maze of setup figure out on Google Assist. I must say having a Google account or two is an advantage in navigating which can be a challenge if not familiar with Google application process. The built in Chromecast is a plus with backdrop screen, one thing that I have always appreciated about Chromecast having used in the past. Overall, this is a solid built Hisense 55 inch 4K Plus TV with Google Assist that has multiple functions and capabilities that match today's one stop technology.
