Bought the Hisense H9F for my parents for a Christmas present everything was good until about 3 days after setting it up we realized there was a small crack in the glass right in the center of the screen that gave off this rainbow glare if in the right light/angle so unfortunately had to return it BestBuy was great in handling the return but for whatever reason their system showed they were no longer stocking them I told them they were wrong and that can't be right the TV had only been out since April 2019 and it was bought in October 2019 for Christmas the TV would later come back in stock for sale on their website a week later but anyway I just took a refund and ended up buying my parents an 65" LG C9 OLED which has the same panel as my 65" LG E9 OLED that I love spent more money but now my parents have the best of the best and everyone's happy. In conclusion I would recommend this TV it has great reviews on many sites as being on of the best mid range 4k TV's for under $1000 I did extensive research and am a tech junky so please take my opinion seriously if you want a great TV for under $1000 this is probably the best although at the time of writing this the Hisense H9G is now out which is the 2020 model of this TV there are some minor improvements from year to year but basically the same TV I would just check the TV thoroughly before setup for cracks I think I was just unlucky and got one that someone handled a little to rough as I couldn't find any complaints of bad shipping on Hisense from their factories and BestBuy is normally good with their shipping too especially TV's.

If you're willing to diverge from the larger tv brands out there because of their high price tag, you'll love the quality you'll get from HiSense. This television runs on Android and doesn't come with Amazon Fire Stick/ Roku capabilities built in. You'll need to use a dongle or set-top box if you don't like the Android operating system. I have Samsung Smart televisions that have an easy UI, same with LG. To me this is also not as easy as Sonys UI but also due to the lower price tag not as intuitive. I picked this 55in. 4k w/ HDR HiSense up for $300 at time of purchase and was worth every dollar, to this day.

The H9F series blew me away! This is a super affordable TV with lots of high end features, and I couldn't be more pleased. The core features of this TV just continue amazing me. 4K, Quantum dot ULED (billion+ colors), up to 132 local dimming zones (100 on the 55"), Dolby Vision HDR and HRD10, up to 1000 nits of peak brightness, and best of all, Android TV. Out of the box, I was surprised the display itself didn't have an shipping protector on it, the TV was only inside a foam bag in the box. Having that temporary screen protector really helps with setting the TV up and getting it into place, without risking fingerprints or damage to the screen as easy. (I've nicked a brand new display before when the power cord slipped out of my hand.) Unboxing was fairly easy after realizing there were handles on the ends of the bag the TV is in, making it much easier to lift out of the box. Once out, I attached the metal legs, put the TV in place, but batteries in the remote, and began the dive into what I like doing most, pressing buttons and learning how things work. Once the TV was on, setup with quick and painless. Connect to Wi-Fi, sign in to a Google account, and answer a couple questions about their Advanced Content Recognition (ACR, the AI feature advertised that can automatically adjust the display based on the content you're viewing), and you're off to the races. You'll arrive at the main menu allowing you to dive into any of the pre-installed apps, or allow you to download any additional app from the Google Play Store. One quick note, the voice control in the remote only works after pairing the remote via Bluetooth to the TV. I attempted pressing the Voice Control button on the main menu and was presented with a remote that didn't seem to respond. After I pressed the button on the remote instead, the TV prompted me to pair the remote, and then Voice Control worked flawlessly. The color, brightness, and detail are just amazing on this TV! I just wanted to keep finding content to throw at it to test it's peak brightness, HDR capabilities, and dimming zones. The contrast and deep blacks blow the performance of my previous TVs out of the water. While ULED and it's 100 dimming zones can't quite match true OLED technology, where every single LED emits it's own light, this TV comes as close as you can get, at an amazing, affordable price tag. Best of all, if you're a console or PC gamer, the input lag on this TV is unbelievable! The input lag is around 16ms in Game mode at 1080p or 4K content. You can't really get faster than that! The only small draw back with this TV I found really relates to gaming. While this TV has a 120 HZ panel, the TV will only display a 60 HZ signal. For high frame rate gamers, especially on PC, you may find this lacking. Overall, I couldn't be happier with this TV! If you're looking for a great performing, 4K Smart TV, with amazing capabilities, great picture, and long lasting performance, look no further! You won't be disappointed in picking one of these up.

I've had this TV since November and for the most part it's great. The colors pop the Android TV works well. My only question is in settings, unless there is a new software update I cannot get Enhanced HDMI even though the manual has instructions on how to activate it. I can toggle down to HDMI but it has Standard as a default and will not let you change it.

To me, the picture on this television set is spectacular. Discovered right away to use the TV's remote to change the TV's settings from NCIS to football games to basketball games etc. Really makes a difference from network to network and from sports to regular TV shows. $600 for the H9F an excellent value...buy one for yourself, you'll love it!

I play alot of video games. So i Figured why now go up to 55. The best buy employee was very helpful. TV is extremely quick for a smart TV. when i play Monster Hunter World on my PS4 Pro i do get pixel flicking in corner of the screen. But other games doesn't seem to have and issue. Recently watched movies handle colors pretty well.

This tv is incredible! Just to name a few details. Has quantum dot technology, vibrant colors deep calibration settings and black levels are fantastic and Up to 1000 knits! This tv has a beautiful slim design and reflective Hisense logo that make the tv look like high end category! Do not add your wifi!! It will dimish the picture quality. Do yourself a favor and buy this tv !!

Lovely sharp picture. Good compliment of Apps and Ports, with adequate spare memory to acquire more. The sound is basically good, though awesome through a Home Receiver. I am impressed also with the OTA Tuner for local channels with a simple Leaf Antenna attached. I have yet to find a procedure to manually flush the cache; so at times will unplug & reboot. Fabulous open ended Android system a tad slow if the memory is excessively loaded. Great Purchase.

I was looking for a 55 inch TV for an office/entertainment room in my house but didn't want to spend a ton of money. I was looking for a TV with most of the technology you need and also a great picture, I got both with this Hisense TV. Trust me, it's worth all of the $550 I paid for. I didn't need a TV with a great wide viewing angle so most of the seating is almost directly in front of it. Trust me, buy this TV for $400 less than the comparable Samsung, it's a no brainer

Image quality is very good however the main problem with mine is the terrible AndroidTV system that's very slow, laggy and stops all the time. I solved this by using a google chromecast but it's dissapointing how inconsistem the operative system is.

I've got to say I did a lot of research before I pulled the trigger on a TV. I compared many of the top brands I really loved the value vs the performance of this Hisense. I've got to say the performance of this TV is really great. Blacks are definitely Black! I wasn't expecting much out the internal speakers but they surprised me and sound great as well.

This tv is great if you’re looking for a great picture at a reasonable price. With that said, I ended up returning the h9f because of other reason. The tv is a 120hz panel but is limited to running at 60hz when using Xbox one x meaning no 120hz support at 1440p. Looking for something that will allow this and vrr. Also tv does not support AirPlay so iPhone can not be casted to tv. Another thing I had a fire tv stick connected and once in a while image would only display on one corner of screen. To correct this I would have to unplug power cord for a bit or do a factory reset. Besides all these issues I was Still really Impressed with overall image quality and that from someone who owns a lg oled.

Thank you for your interest in the 55H9F. We are sorry to hear that you were not pleased with the unit. You are indeed able to get the xBox One X to play at 120hz. This can be done by adjusting a few settings. We also regret to hear that you were not able to cast using your iPhone and we sincerely apologize for this.
We are sorry to hear that you had to return the unit we do hope you decide to choose Hisense again in the future. If you have any questions please give us a call at 1-888-935-8880 or email us at [email protected].
      Thanks Again,

We look forward to hearing from you!

This tv has a fantastic picture. Equally as good as my Sony 900e at half the cost. The stand design is odd to me but it's wall mounted so in the end it doesn't matter. The only complaint I have is that Android TV runs a bit slow and can lag, especially when compared to the Sony 900e. Overall, there isn't a better deal right now.

You can't go wrong with this television with the build in apps, chromecast support, and kodi support. The colors details with 4K contents is outstanding, has good SD TV scaling, and for antenna context. Color details are on par with Samsung and Sony TV with Quantum dot color. Good alternative for using as a computer monitor. CONS: the processor on television is a little bit laggy when inside of a meau

This is one of the best TV's for 2019 according to Quantum TV youtube channel and I must agree. With the right calibration the picture stands out as if it is almost 3D like. One may have to figure out the right settings or go on youtube and check out Quantum TV's setting for this TV. One must sign up for his channel though.
