Hisense has the worst customer service I have dealt with. I had to warranty my TV within the first year of having it and the process was excruciating to get answers and then they sent someone out to destroy my tv that the only issue with it was a line running down the screen. Then it took them over a week after that to do anything about getting me a refund or new TV. I would highly recommend going with a different brand of TV.

TV delivered brand new (or so I thought) without a power cord. Called and they said they can mail in 5 business days or go to the store. Went to store and they tried fo give me used cord, then cord that did not fit. Finally gave me a cord that was a best buy brand. Store manager extremely difficult saying i can go through hisense or my warranty. How does that make sense when i received the TV without all parts? Will never purchase from best buy again.

So far it is good, way different from Samsung TV's, but getting use to it.

Picture kept blinking while watching back and white movies

Not that impressive. Unless you can get it for half off or something, I would spend a little more on something better— even the U7.

Wanted to love. It works for a cheaper tv but I definitely wouldn’t buy it again. Like other reviews I lose WiFi all the time even though every thing else works completely fine in the same room. Picture seems good until dark scenes come on and then you can’t see what is happening at all.

The Google operating system on this TV is super slow I hate it. Very choppy when starting up apps for a good 30 seconds or watching streaming channels. Put in a ROKU stick and works a lot better SAD

To date, this is the best TV I have ever owned! I ran so many test videos to evaluate contrast, motion blur, intricate patterns, and vivid colors. It excels at all of them! The new mini-LED backlight provides such amazing darkness that I thought the screen was off until the video started playing. There are some great test videos online for this feature. While sitting in a room with all lights turned off, it is clear that the screen only illuminates the areas it needs to light up while keeping the rest dark. This is in contrast to the older technology where there is always a dim backlight present on a completely black screen. It is wild to see a bright pattern suddenly appear on a screen that truly appears to be off. Besides absolutely vivid colors due to such high contrast from black to white, motion blur is practically nonexistent. I was able to watch footage of a forest shot from a helicopter and stay focused on an individual tree branch. The same goes for cliffs next to the ocean and animals quickly moving. As for brightness, there are multiple picture modes from extremely bright to more dim. The factory setting was “energy saver” mode, but the others have their purpose. “Theater” mode seems to be better in dark rooms while “vivid” is far too bright in that setting, but looks great in a bright room. The only negative for the screen is it tends to reflect light from lights in the room when the screen is dark. I prefer a more matte finish, but there are pros and cons to both types. Setup was simple. I love that the power cable is not permanently attached. This reduces trip hazards when two people are awkwardly moving the TV around. The one slight annoyance is that the smart TV features require a Google account, even if your streaming accounts are not in any way tied to Google. For most people, it probably does not matter much, but that still annoyed me. After signing in via the mobile app, the TV downloaded and installed updates. Most popular streaming apps were installed and ready to run. I am impressed with the WiFi speeds. There is absolutely no issue with the TV using my WiFi to stream HD video. The TV instantly recognized my sound bar plugged into the HDMI ARC port and automatically sent audio to the sound bar. An even better feature is that the TV turns the sound bar power on and off so I can use one remote to control both the TV and sound bar. The remote is a typical smart TV/device remote with no numbers, but with multiple favorite buttons for streaming services. I love that the remote is backlit, so it is simple to use in the dark. It would have been nice if they made the batteries rechargeable since they probably where down a bit faster with the backlight and built-in Voice features. I have very little to complain about. The TV comes with some feet to sit the TV on a table or stand. The brackets are installed very close to the outer edges of the screen, so if they are used, a person needs a TV stand practically as wide as the TV. Of course, the screen could be mounted instead. I am happy that the feet are screwed in and simple to attach and remove. They do not snap in and become a pain to change. The only other flaw I would like to change is a longer sleep timer. It only goes to 120 minutes. For me, I usually like to go beyond that because I set a timer when getting into bed, look at my phone for a little while, watch TV, and eventually fall asleep. If the timer turns the screen off soon after I fall asleep, I will instantly wake up. Overall, I am really happy with this TV. The negatives are extremely minor. I would definitely recommend this item to a friend.

I start all of my reviews the same way, HONESTY.. The HiSense TV brand has always caught my eye when walking through best buy over most other TV's. Reason being is the image quality is immediately apparent next to their insanely low price. You kind of scratch your head and think, how is this possible? While I do not have those answers, I can tell you what I do know, this 55U6N is a really, really good value when it comes to price per feature. Let's Start with.. Image Quality - This tv has something called Quantum Dot Color along with Mini-LED Full Array Local Dimming. Wow that was a mouth full. Let's break it all down. The Quantum Dot Color technology gives you these amazingly crisp and vivid colors. I find that when I hook up an HDR or Dolby Vision compatible device the Image just wows you, like I remember sitting there the first time thinking this tv looks amazing. The color science HiSense is using is definitely different than other manufacturers as I have other tv's in my home from different brands, BUT HiSense stands out in front of them with their unique color science and technologies. When you take their Quantum Dot Color and pair it with their Mini-Led Backlight you get something really special. The Mini-LED Backlit panel basically gives you 10 times the amount of LED's than you would normally have with a standard backlit tv. This gives you uniform brightness in your picture and it also allows another neat little trick! With the Mini-LED Backlight you can manipulate individual LEDs to brighten or darken and this will give you deeper blacks in the content you are watching as well as reduce backlight bleeding that you will normally see with NON-Mini-LED TV's. I know that was a lot but it basically comes down to an incredibly well balanced and stunning image that you will get with this tv. Google TV - This of course is a SMART TV at the heart of the operating system is GOOGLE TV and in the last couple of days it has been snappy and quick to navigate and I have already downloaded all of my favorites apps as well as re-assigned the favorite button on the remote with my TV Streaming service. The setup was very smooth and easy especially if you have the Google Home App on your phone, you will be able to setup the tv through that which will speed things up. Gaming - I have hooked this up to my XBOX game console and ensured that my settings on both the TV and Game System were setup properly. On the tv you will want to change the picture mode to GAME in the General section under "Picture Settings" on the TV. This will ensure to turn off all enhancements that can affect the response time when gaming. On the console you will want to visit the Video settings as well and make sure you have 4KHDR selected and depending on your console the highest allowable frame rate. Having these settings applied should give you the best possible experience when gaming. So far the image has been phenomenal and quick response with no noticeable lag. The experience of playing a game on a tv like this is rewarding I must say. There's also a game bar option you can access from the remote control which will give you shortcuts specific to gaming. I like the cross-hair option. This gives you a nice counterpoint that works great for shooter games. The Remote Control - I won't spend to much time on this but generally speaking I like it a lot. The remote has a nice texture to it and is BACKLIT yep, this is so nice at night when it's dark in the room. The remote has a bunch of shortcuts on it and a favorite button which you can assign to your favorite app. I use it for my TV Service. The buttons on it have a nice feel to them and overall build quality feels great. There's so many other features this tv has but in the week I have been using it these are the things that stood out to me. I can't wait to learn more about what this tv can offer. So far I cannot comment on longevity as I just received the tv, but hopefully it lasts a long time. If you're on the fence about getting this tv, I would say go for it, you won't be disappointed by the performance of the tv.

I purchased this TV for $350 ($200 off) but ended up returning it. The picture quality was disappointing—washed out and not color accurate in my opinion. Even my wife, who isn’t particular about electronics, commented on how poor the picture looked. The Google TV interface was slow and buggy, and the built-in “Hey Google” feature was frustrating. Turning it off caused all the indicator lights to stay illuminated, which was distracting. When left on, it interfered with other Google Home devices, making it impractical for me. Additionally, the front white light would sometimes stay on without reason, requiring a reboot to fix it. If your budget is limited to $350, this might work for you, but personally, I’d prefer a smaller TV with better picture quality.

the geek set up was very good, but the tv has problem.

Easy set-up, right out of the box. The box opened from the top, we pulled it out and got to work hanging this on the wall where the old one was. Once we got it in place, plugged in and ready to start it was a simple procedure. The television basically will walk you through all of the set up steps making this super easy. You have the option to choose the smart option features that you want. This was our first Hisense television, and it's replacing a Samsung which had neared it's end of life for us. Hisense U6 has an outstanding picture and sound. Excellent color and contrast, nice backlighting. We can actually watch the television during the day with curtains and blinds open and see with NO GLARE. This is so much better than having to constantly close blinds or curtains during the day. Major difference. It's a bit like a movie theatre upgrade with all the options compared to the old television that we have been watching for so long. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a decent priced television that isn't going to break the bank. It's a good investment.

This review is for the Hisense 55" U6 Mini-LED 4k QLED TV. Overall, this is a good television with smart capabilities built in at a bargain price point. Picture Quality- 8/10. While not the best picture you can have, at this price it is hard to find another to beat it. The picture quality is good with a very nice High Dynamic Range (HDR). Colors are vibrant and seem well saturated and the blacks are rich and deep out of the box, some small fine tuning for your home can add to the overall viewing experience. The backlit Mini-LED does have a great advantage and is something we are seeing more of in the market. Refresh rate on this television is good, while I would not use it for a primary gaming TV, it does do quite well with 4k games. Sound Quality- 7/10. The sound is okay in an average size room. It is on par with other televisions in its price range. I noticed a bit of distortion about mid way to its peak level, again, normal for this price range. Footprint-9/10. The television has a nice footprint if it's hanging on the wall or using the stand. It is definitely not and eye sore by any means. It is very well designed and frankly, looks better than other televisions. Overall I rate this TV at 8/10 and a good value overall. Hisense has come a very long way from the beginning and continues to innovate and improve.

This is my second Hisense tv to own, and I have to say they are one of the more underrated TV brands out there. I was very impressed with my first one, and this one has not disappointed. My wife and I wanted a new TV for our bedroom, the one we were using was a few years old and you could see light bleeding through the dark parts of the screen and edges, the colors seemed faded as well. It also had a horrible bright white light that came on when the TV was off which was terrible at night when trying to sleep. So glad to put that TV to rest, especially after using this one for the first time. For the past few days I’ve been enjoying this TV as we like to watch a few shows in our bedroom before bed, and this is my first mini-led tv to own. I have to say so far it looks really good. For reference, our living room TV is quite expensive because I do appreciate quality in a TV. These colors are more full and the blacks are very black without much blooming. It does have a slight “soap opera” affect when playing some shows, but its not bad like it used to be with older TVs, I actually like it because I feel like it’s a reflection of the better quality of colors. Keep in mind these are default settings we have been using. Oh and one thing I really like is the TV tells you when Dolby Vision or Atmos is enabled by flashing it in the corner for a few seconds, I like knowing the quality of a stream or disc without having to double check it…great feature that many tv’s I’ve owned don’t have. Another thing I like about it is the remote, the buttons are lighted when using it which makes it great to use for our night-time TV watching . The quick access/shortcut buttons on the remote for accessing streaming apps quickly is a nice feature. It’s a little bit of a larger remote, but we don’t mind it since it helps us locate it easier at night. Google TV system is also a plus, it was super convenient connecting to my account with my phone (iphone). Didn’t even have to manually connect to my Wifi which is an annoyance when you have to use the remote to enter account information and passwords. Got the TV and most of my apps downloaded and logged in within half an hour. I will say the downside(s) so far is that the user interface is not as snappy as I’d like, there can be some lag when the TV is just turned on or just in general when trying to do multiple tasks in a row, but not bad. This TV also has a bright white light when off (why??) but unlike my older tv, I am able to cover up the light with tape without affecting the remote signal so I’m fine with that fix. Overall, I think it’s a pretty good TV at this price point, and my last Hisense TV lasted years without any issues so I am confident in the brand. The assembly was just adding the legs and the TV itself is fairly lightweight.

It takes a while for it to load the different apps. It's not my internet

If you're looking for a Smart TV with a high quality picture and reasonable sound (for TV speakers) at a great price, this model is a winner. It's incredibly thin (only 3 inches!) and light (about 30 pounds) which might only matter as you're getting it setup, but it was a relief as I replaced an older 48" HDTV that was heavier. Ideally, you would hang it on an armature instead of the legs/stand, which require almost 11 inches of depth, and necessitates the legs being attached quite closely to within 4 inches of the widest edges of the TV. This means that your TV stand underneath has to potentially be quite wide as well. Upgrading from a previous TV, it was a delight to find that there are 4 HDMI inputs (including one ARC so that you could attach a soundbar or sound system). I think one of my favorite aspects is that it automatically detects the devices attached and sets their settings appropriately. For example, I have a PlayStation 4 on HDMI 2, and when I start it up via the game controller, the TV automatically switches to that input in "Game Mode" which makes the screen a bit brighter and purports to keep up with the movement in my games. I didn't notice much of a difference in my gameplay; however, I don't really play high frame rate games or first-person shooters. I will say that the colors seemed brighter and more well-defined. And I definitely noticed that the black and white contrast was very sharp. With my old TV, when there was "black" you could still see something resembling "TV on" mode which meant it was bright. When viewing a pause screen, this TV looked like it was off if it weren't for the white word "pause" only in the very center. I used the Google TV based apps a little bit, and they seem to be responsive and easy to navigate. However, we've been a Roku house forever, so I simply plugged that in and carried on with it instead. Eventually, the processor behind the Google TV won't be powerful enough for the latest apps, and so you'd have to resort to some external streaming device anyway. Although it is quite nice to be able to cast from Chrome on my phones and laptops to this TV. It also features Airplay for Apple devices, which worked well other than having to connect an external service first (which was a bit unexpected, especially since it didn't have "Google" or "Hisense" in the name). Compared to the old TV, the sound quality is far superior. I could hear lower sounds than I was used to, and the sound mix seems to be better overall (low, mid, and high). Of course, if you want the highest quality sound, you'd get a soundbar - but this is definitely sufficient for a bedroom or family room. The one thing that I was frustrated by is the Motion Sense technology. I personally do not like it when a TV adjusts what it's playing back to make it look like a soap opera, and it was really challenging to figure out the right combination of settings to disable it. As it turns out, for some inputs (my Roku Premiere included), you have to change what IT is outputting, as well as on the TV to properly disable it. The minimal instructions didn't have any information on this, and even deep Internet searches found nothing. I think this is a bit of a controversial setting (it seems people love it or hate it), so it really ought to be an "off" setting - but instead I was faced with "not available" when trying to change it under certain circumstances. Since I don't like it, I thought I was out of luck and I was ready to send the TV back based on that alone. Luckily I found some settings on my Roku itself which then allowed me to adjust this setting on the TV to "off."

Overall a great tv! The only problem I seem to have with it is that there is some tearing when it comes to the AI trying to fill in for faster moving objects in the frame. I tried setting it to gaming mode for hopefully a smoother transition, but it doesn't seem to help too much. Maybe I'm still missing something with the settings that might help, but I can't seem to figure it out. Other than that, The picture is clean and the contrast between the black and the other colors is nice! I would recommend this tv if you mainly plan on watching movies or shows with less action and more story.

The Hisense U6 Series of TVS are an extremely impressive TV package for minimal amount of money. I have been using this TV for about a week now and really am enjoying it. The mini-led offers brighter image quality while not compromising of contract or dimming. The QLED is quantum dot technology which noticeably provides exceptional color quality. The colors are really vivid and when comparing this TV to a higher end TV in my home, you really cannot notice much of a difference for a fraction of the price. The tv has 240 motion rate at 60Hz which is pretty solid and necessary for watching sports of playing video games. The tv also offers dolby vision and dolby atmos which are nice features for a less expensive TV. I will say that the Atmos is not unbelievable but it definitely sounds better than a TV without it. One area that I think is phenomenal for a TV of this package is the bezel less design. For me this is very important to have more screen real estate and with the quantum dot technology, I am able to have beautiful visuals across the entire range of the screen. Having google assistant voice remotes is also a very nice touch for a TV like this. As I write this review I see that BestBuy is offering a nice discount on this new model and I think this should be scooped up in a heart beat. It is a wonderful TV for not a lot of money.

The picture quality on this U6 Series is incredibly clear. It looks like you're watching everything in person. I am disappointed with the Google features though. I thought with separate users, watch histories would be separate also, but they are not. The parental code is visible while you're entering it. Also, you can't disable some apps just for one user.
