We really appreciate being able to see the contrast of light and dark. Additionally it is a very crisp lifelike picture. For the price it is really hard to beat this TV.

When you sit directly in front of the TV, I would rate it as a 4 or possibly a 5 but, I'm very disappointed with the side or angled view for those seats that aren't directly in front of it. I'm hoping I find that some of the settings can be adjusted to improve that view but, so far, I haven't.
