Really nice for the price. The quantum color is very nice. The HDR is decent. The sound is good. Lower priced for the features this baby has. Depending on your picture settings, some lighter areas might come through a very black image. But the price is nice.

This is a great TV for the price. It's in a super bright room. Setting it to Theater Day makes daytime viewing possible. I'm not a gamer. Just wanted a TV to watch movies, sports and over-the-air programs. The picture is incredible. Way better than the 10 year old Sony Bravia it replaces. I like that it's a Google Android TV as well. I have Prime and am now actually using and enjoying the content. Way better than on my 19" monitor. I really wanted the TCL with Roku for it's better depth and color range but I'm glad I decided on this one at the last minute. Saved money and am super happy with the picture. It's also lighter and I was able to unbox and mount it to the stand I purchased myself. One last thing, the sound is better than I expected it to be based on everything I read. I have an older Zvox sound box but didn't even realize I hadn't turned it on one day until I went to turn it off. I was watching an over-the-air station but it still surprised me.

This TV turns out to be much better than expected. The colors are astonishing, very clear and bright. Sound is great and can get loud. I have watched many UHD movies, and the quality is second to none. It has Chromecast built-in and works great with my android galaxy phone. It is not compatible with apple airplay, but I get around it with a Roku tv device. Since it is usually less expensive than the most famous brands like Samsung or Sony, I say it is very worthy for the money spent.

Should I spend 4x times the price of this TV for an OLED from a top manufacturer? I'm glad I didn't and with a little effort, this Hisense 55U6G has found a home. Right out of the box this video display was stunning (upgrading from a 10 year old HD set). It supports all the current video formats I might require: Dolby Vision, HDR10(+), and HLG. Video performance from my cable box, digital antenna, and streaming services was just what I would expect on the high end. My immediate problem was surround sound. I connect my new TV to a 15 year old audio receiver that supports Dolby Digital (not the +) via the optical cable (no HDMI back then). I could not get any of the built-in streaming apps to transfer Dolby Digital to my receiver. It all came out as two channel even though my receiver thought it was Dolby Digital. Calls to Hisense support were answered in a timely fashion, but after 4 calls, the only help was an email received with instructions and an attached firmware update. The supposed update was the version already on the set (Feb/2021). So if I were to keep the TV and not return it, I had to solve my surround sound pass through issue. After MANY hours of experimentation with: Roku, Chromecast Google TV, and FireStick (all in the 4K UHD category), the only one that performed the pass through correctly for ALL my apps was the FireStick 4k UHD. It works great! So I get to keep the video screen I like. I get my Dolby Vision along with my Dolby Digital surround 5.1, and all told it is an entirely new experience in front of the TV. I know that many do not have discreet speakers spread around the viewing room, Many may use the built-in speakers or a sound bar in front of the TV. But once you experience true surround sound, it is hard to settle for less. A few years down the road, I look forward to upgrading my AV receiver and who knows what things will look like at that point. But for now, this picture is as good as it gets for the content that I consume. Note: I am not a gamer, so some of those requirements are not part of my need list. Conclusion: a $25 streaming stick solved my only issue. A few technical tips: in the TV settings menu - Under Picture, HDMI 2.0 format, make sure to pick ENHANCED or you may not get the best resolution from streaming. - With my streaming stick, cable, and antenna, under SOUND, I found that under Digital Audio Out, AUTO setting worked - at the bottom of the main menu is HELP. There is a nice option to view SIGNAL INFORMATION. This is very helpful to confirm or troubleshoot what is going on with video or sound.

Hisense Tv Android U6 is a great tv ! One of top of the line pictures to the day in my option! HDMI 2.1 would’ve been nice addition to it but other than I’m loving it for games! I’m full time mother both my kids even husband are gamers! Hey google is wonderful feature like other smart tech! If I can use it trust me you can! Atmos Dolby audio/ vision gives great sound and picture quality! Got it hooked up to avh receiver yamaha tsr 700, so with we got surround to it. For the price you can’t really beat the picture quality you get here, unfortunately the one I bought had a pretty bad dirty screen effect, vertical and horizontal cloudy lines going across the screen, not extremely noticeable but they are there, my wife even noticed it and was annoyed by it. So I replaced it with a 65” Vizio m6 and that tv even has some dirty screen effect issues but not nearly as bad or noticeable with slightly better picture quality. Good luck with playing the panel lottery with these lower tier TVs.

Absolutely love this TV! I've actually purchased 2 of them total. For the price, I haven't been able to find another TV that has as many well implemented features as this one. The sound quality from the TV is tuned so well that it outperforms some $100~$150 soundbars. I'd highly recommend this TV if you're looking for something better than just LED and it fits in your budget!

Needed a tv for my game room xbox, and the low input lag fit the bill. I'm pretty happy with the factory settings out of the box. I just set it on Cinema and lowered the sharpness for watching movies and it looks great to me. Great tv for the price, just hopes it lasts since this is my first Hisense product. The photo shows some sort of ghosting but I think my phone did that.

This TV does exactly what you'd hope it would do for the price. It's better than other 4k smart TVs in the 350-550 range. While this is by no means a True "quantom dot" image (or whatever LG, Sony, Samsung calls it), it's still more visually impressive than baseline 4k tvs. The colors are very vibrant and great for watching sports, youtube, or bright tv programs/movies (Think pixar, football, racing, etc), the darks are something to be desired. While the screen does get quite dark, because it's back lighting limitations... there's a bit of glowing edges on extremely dark scenes. Think of a fire in a cave, there's a lot of aura that's not just the fire. It's quite pretty, but it'll be limited by its price point. It has 240 motionsense, but it's still a 60 hz panel. Which is fine for movies, but don't expect a true next gen gaming experience, as you'll need a 120 hz panel. Action scenes look quite fine but dark scenes can sometimes be a little jarring. Great for watching Fast and Furious, but maybe not so much Stranger Things. It has built in android, so if you're used to a google chrome, it's almost the same interface. Google assistant works great (You'll need an external device, like a home or android phone), especially if you're experienced in engaging one (maybe you have a google home or pixel phone). If you're new, it may seem frustrating, but it's just a matter of learning how to talk to it. Telling your TV to turn off, pause, change services, change volume or input is way more convenient than you realize. Streaming works great, and screen-casting is very easy from a smartphone device as long as you're on the same wifi. 5/5 (hugely considering the cost) The sound is serviceable, impressive bass for a tv panel (not great by any means), but it manages to avoid the "tinny" sound you get from tv speakers on modern panels. 2/5, it's basic stereo from a tv, this will never be high with stock speakers. The stand is a stand, two triangles in each corner, nothing special. 3/5, just hang your TV. The remote is nice, a little busy, but much better than the over simplicity of Samsung remotes. The built in shortcuts are nice, which are Youtube, Netflix, Peacock, Prime, Disney and Tubi (really, no hulu?). It plastic feeling, which doesn't feel premium, but a remote is not the reason you buy a tv. 4/5, it's not bad at all, but not great if you want simplitcity. If you're looking for a true "Home Theater" experience, you'll have to spend more money, into the 1000's. This makes for an exceptional bedroom TV and/or a balling on a budget living room TV. Pair it with a soundbar for oomph. At $550, this TV was a pretty good buy. Overall 4/5, would recommend
