this is a happy medium in terms price and performance. I bought this a couple months before the price dropped. I paid 550 i think and I still am happy with how bright this is, considering i am coming from an over priced LG that went bad with weird blue tint i didn't notice for a year!

Comparing this to TVs in the $500-$750 range, I don’t think you can’t go wrong with this set. I am new to Hisense and Android TV, so I was pretty skeptical and figured I’d be returning for the TCL 5 series with Roku that I had been also eyeing. I am VERY picky when it comes to tech (sorry Best Buy). I must say I am pretty pleased with my purchase and am impressed with the overall quality/value. I looked for reasons to not like the set, but came up short. It’s been great so far. I my opinion, this TV will deliver for the average joe. Like me, you might even get a little more bang for your buck than you were bargaining for.

Great tv based on quality but has its flaws when its comes to the android software. The OS is very slow and has given me a-lot of issues since I’ve bought it.

Compared to other TVs in this price range, the U6G is better than all of them. If you get another TV in this price range, you will probably be missing out on features like Dolby Vision or Local Dimming. The U6G gives you everything that others don't.

This is my 1st real TV purchase with lots of research! I ended up going with RTings recommendation on it as it was between this and the TCL R546, the Google TV version. I ended up choosing this one and am very happy and grateful I did not get a bad unit! This is the biggest screen i've ever owned and when Dolby Atmos comes up, it just pops! There is a tiny bit amount of motion handling even when turned off, but to my normie eyes, they are fine. Amazing value, got it at $500 for 55' and I think it would still be worth it 50 or 100 more! It hits that $1 per inch spot that I think is solid value.

As far as value goes, it's hard to beat the U6G. Great contrast and local dimming for the price, and HDR/Dolby vision looks amazing on supported content (though I do wish HDR content was a bit brighter, but it's not a huge deal).

I did a lot of research and decided that this was the TV that I wanted. Good price and had local dimming for a good HDR experience. Had a store rep try to upsell me to a $1200 LG OLED TV which is ridiculous, also claimed that this TV would likely break within 2 years. So far had it for a month and it has been awesome, HDR scenes are very clear and the audio passthrough to my Dolby Atmos setup had no issues. I read the Rtings review for how to calibrate the TV and changed it some from there but it helped a lot to get a great viewing experience. To be clear I have an Nvidia Shield TV so I don't use the built in Android TV, not sure if that is good or not.

Good Moderately Priced ULED 4K UHD Smart TV

This is a good ULED 4K UHD smart TV for the price. However, it should not be confused with a high-end TV costing much more. The viewing angle for the best picture is not wide enough for a both a sofa and side chairs. The picture will be fine sitting in front of the TV, but persons sitting in side chairs may see a washed out picture. Sound quality is good, but would be enhanced by the addition of a sound bar.

I got this TV last month on Black Friday prices so got a good deal on it. Reason why i picked this TV was the picture quality i was getting for the price. And the picture is better than great. I have a 70" LG in my livingroom but dark images aren't that great, you get a gray wash, or ghosting effect and it kind of gets annoying. The dark images on this TV are awesome, there are no ghosting or gray wash and you can see the details. Bright scenes are amazing, the colors and contrast are awesome. This TV doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but for the price i think you get plenty. With Dolby Vision included I feel this is a great TV deal.

Really good TV for bedroom use. Mainly used for streaming in 4k, we are very satisfied with the picture quality. Gaming with the Switch is ok but PS5 or PC connection not as good.

I picked this up because of a few things - - My old TV (at 43") wasn't really working in my new living room's space, - Extra HDMI port (4 instead of 3,) and - Decent price for 4k. I have this wall mounted. Setup was simple, the apps for various streaming services are fast (though I also have this set up as a display on an HTPC on one of those ports,) and it's much nicer to watch from where my couch is, a good ten feet or so away. You'll certainly want two people with a TV this size, just to deal with the size (the weight's fine) even if you're using the feet instead of wall mounting. Very happy with my upgrade.

Don't expect the best tv in the world for this price. It doesn't have the greatest viewing angles, the local dimming feature is honestly a joke, and I noticed some dirty screen effect with this. But for the price I was expecting way worse than that and I would still say this is a solid tv! This is actually the first tv I bought that actually does HDR justice. Dolby Vision is just amazing. You couldn't go wrong with this despite it's shortcomings.

It’s a nice enough TV, I don’t have any complaints about the picture quality. However, the actual operating system is teeeerrrrrible. Laggy, slow, apps crash constantly for no reason. I’ve troubleshot, searched online, changed settings, just about everything possible and it still runs like an android tablet from 2011. Ridiculous.
