    Hisense U6GR TV

The Hisense U6GR is good for most uses. It performs well in both dark and bright rooms, and it's great for watching movies because it displays deep blacks, and the full-array local dimming feature is decent. It's also good for watching movies in HDR, but some highlights don't pop the way they should. It's good for watching shows and decent for sports in well-lit rooms because it gets bright and has good reflection handling, but it has narrow viewing angles, so the image loses accuracy from the sides. It has great gaming features like VRR support and low input lag, but it's limited to a 60Hz panel without HDMI 2.1 support, and motion looks blurry.

I am a big fan of the Roku platform and I was disappointed that many TV makers have dropped Roku in favor of the Android and Fire stick systems. Roku is one of the easiest smart TV formats to navigate. As for the TV, it was $450 and for the money, I think it's a great value. I don't know enough about all the tech stuff. But I put it in the basement and it works very well. I don't have much natural light downstairs, so I don't need a lot of backlighting.

Pros: Killer price for the open box. Hisense makes hands down the best panels in the budget price tier. Roku TVs have come a long way and the OS is snappy and the phone app is extremely convenient. Roku TV comes with a crap ton of free content. Most of it is low budget and crappy but having access digitally to my local channels is really nice. These are also some of the best speakers I’ve had in a TV. While watching something in “surround sound” the other night I was generally blown away by the simulated soundstage and some of the audio genuinely sounded like it was coming from left and right surround channels. Cons: Doesn’t have Bluetooth but you can connect your phone to the TV and use their “private listening” feature through the app which has close to zero latency. Open box was a limited experience. Came with no remote which I still don’t understand. Not sure why they can’t just put the remotes somewhere knowing they will eventually sell the display model. Not the biggest deal. Roku remotes are 10-20.00 Purchased this as open box. Hisense makes the best panels in the budget category hands down. For sitting on their display wall for 18 months it is in great condition. It would be impossible to get something of this quality for its price. Hisenses quantum led tech is amazing for being in the budget category. My only apprehension is the logic/main board longevity. My last Hisense had its main board crap out just over 3 years into its life, conveniently right after the warranty expired. This is why I was not willing to pay full price for it. I will be happy if this unit last more than 3 years, I won’t complain if it lasts only 2 years, and I will be back to edit my review and remove all stars if it doesn’t make it beyond 13 months/dies in a short period after the 1 year warranty expires. There’s always a gamble with open box. The problem with my old Hisenses main board was well documented so I hope it was addressed in this newer unit. This is now my bedroom tv which will only be used 1-2 hours a night at most so I do expect it to last a while.

Was a little skeptical getting this tv especially since I have a song oled and and lg oled but to our surprise this is a pretty good tv. The picture quality is great for such a cheap tv. The speakers on it are also decent. Having smart feathered built in works great since it eliminated needing any streaming devices. Only downside is that we wish it was more customizable and you could change the interface. Overall a great tv for a great price especially when you need to replace and older tv.

We bought this because our 55” vizio was starting to get black shading on part of the screen. The specifications on the best buy app shows that this tv comes equiped woth an HDMI 2.1 port but im not ao sure it does. If it does it is not labeled on the tv anywhere. So far far that is my only complaint. For a budget 4k tv it has a pretty good picture. The colors seem a little washed out when watching directv. Gaming seems to give a better quality picture.

Great Picture Quality and Streaming Capabilities

I recently purchased the Hisense 55" Class U6GR Series Quantum ULED 4K UHD Smart Roku TV and overall, I am quite satisfied with the product itself. The picture quality is fantastic, with vivid colors and deep blacks, and the Roku integration makes streaming content incredibly easy and convenient. However, I did have some issues with the setup process and had to reach out to Hisense support for assistance. Unfortunately, my experience with their customer support team was less than satisfactory. Despite multiple attempts to contact them, I was unable to get through to a representative, and when I finally did, they were not very helpful. This lack of technical support is definitely a downside to the Hisense brand. However, despite these issues, I am still quite happy with the TV itself and its overall performance. The picture quality alone is worth the price tag, and the Roku integration is a great added bonus. Overall, I would recommend the Hisense 55" Class U6GR Series Quantum ULED 4K UHD Smart Roku TV to anyone looking for a high-quality TV with great picture quality and easy streaming capabilities. Just be aware that if you do run into technical issues, you may have trouble getting the support you need from the Hisense team. 4 stars.

Bought to replace my $1300 Samsung after my youngest threw a Hotwheel car at it at mach speed and broke it. I was apprehensive about the brand at first but ive had it for quite awhile now and its amazing! Get the settings right and even the pros say its comparable to an expensive OLED! Lacks a couple features like 120hz refresh rate, but for the price you really cant complain. It also has VRR for gaming which works very well!

Great tv. It's in the bedroom. Upgraded from a 50" Sony Bravia. Love the Roku operating system. The Roku Channels app adds tons of free channels, bye cable/some streaming services. The voice search on the remote always works smoothly. Also like the fact that you can listen to the tv via Bluetooth earbuds/headphones, that are paired with your phone, by using the Roku app on your phone. No more disturbing my wife at night while she's sleeping. The picture quality is awesome and the tv is loud. No sound bar needed. I highly recommend this tv.

Best Buy really outdid themselves with the price for this TV. In my opinion, it should cost more. I spent around $500 to $600 for this one with warranty included. This is a smart Roku TV. 4K resolution ULED. It provides Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. It’s like your own personal theater TV. CXC and IMAX theater projectors use Dolby Atmos. You don’t even need a speaker for this Bad boy. Internal speakers are perfect. The Roku system hasn’t failed me once. You can make purchases for applications, music, and more. My friend and I were surprised that this TV was affordable.

It's incredible how high of a resolution and quality you can get at low price points nowadays and Hisense doesn't disappoint. Enjoy a high quality Roku experience in 4K without extra remotes or annoying dongles/sticks. Do the default settings look slightly off to the super picky geek viewer? Probably. But you're not going to notice if you're an average TV watcher that just needs a quick upgrade.

We bought this TV because we loved the first one we bought last year. We have not been disappointed. We are so happy with this new Highsense TV. The picture is stunning, the Roku menu is so easy to navigate, and it has so many amazing features. We love this TV. Just in time for football season. We bought this TV to replace our main TV because the smaller TV we bought for our bedroom was outstanding. I highly recommend this television. You will not be disappointed if you choose this TV. If you are into streaming, this television makes it easy - seamless.
