I bought this TV because it had a favorable review on the RTINGS website, including that the picture and color was really good out-of-box, without any calibration needed. I would say the picture DOES look nice, as long as there is no motion or panning in the content you are viewing, but I did not buy a TV to enjoy the still shots on screensaver mode. I'll note here at the top that we have a good wifi connection (download speed near 300mb/s on a phone where this TV is located) and I have made sure the TV's software is up to date. 1) The Google TV interface is extremely laggy, especially upon starting the TV, and any time after returning from an app to the home screen. By switching to Apps Only mode the lag goes away, however you cannot use the voice feature of the remote in Apps Only mode, which I do not understand. I guess it is Google trying to force you to use the regular interface because there are less ads in the Apps Only mode? We get a lot of "Something Went Wrong" error messages when trying to enter apps or start content. 2) This is the biggest issue: sports are unwatchable on this TV (including on Max, Prime, and Hulu). Live TV via the antenna looks fine, but apparently the 60Hz refresh rate can't handle HD streaming of sports, or the scaling is off, or something. Point being there is what I think is called judder, and it is extreme. This judder is visible with other HD content as well, and particularly bad during any type of panning shots, but I have found it most egregious with sports. I have messed with every motion enhancement feature of this TV to try to combat this issue (including turning all of them OFF), but there has been no combination that removes the judder. 3) You cannot use a 5 GHz wifi connection, at least on my set. It allows me to connect to the 5 GHz network, but will disconnect within a couple of minutes of streaming. Using the 2.4 GHz connection instead, which has 'excellent' connection per the TV's wifi menu, we will get 25-40 mb/s download speed using the built-in browser app to test. I understand wifi radios in TVs aren't as strong as those built into our phones and computers, but this download speed should still be plenty fast enough for standard HD streaming. I am outside of the return window for Best Buy, so I've contacted the manufacturer instead. They are instructing me to manually upgrade the firmware of the TV. This is something you cannot do from within the TV's interface, which seems crazy to me, but I will oblige because this has proven to be a really bad value and experience, even considering this is considered a budget TV.

This TV is really great. The image quality is great. However, the image quality is not great out of the box. You need to modify the picture settings. There are tutorial online explaining on what each option does. The sound is lacking a little, but that can be remedied with a soundbar. Overall, this tv does great in relation to the price paid.

OMG. My last 3 TVs were Vizio. The first one lasted a long time. Last 2 about 4 years. I bought another Vizio from Best Buy. It was worst than my 2018 in 2022. I couldn’t stand the quality. It’s in the trunk ready to be returned. I found this Hisense U6H at a warehouse not far. Rtings.com once again does it. Best budget TV. For $429 I don’t think you can beat it. I’m in awww by everything it displays. U6G (2021) or U6H (2022). This is a budget TV that makes some non budget TVs look bad. Hisense good Job!!!’n

Great tv at a great price, easy google tv smart tv and remote. Very nice contrast and color from quantum dot technology, has many custom picture settings along with game mode which includes variable refresh and 4 HDMI 2.1 ports. The reviews were correct, best budget tv this year. 55 inch was 399.99 hard to beat at that price!!

Excellent quality. This is my 8th HD TV and by far surpasses the others. Crytal clear image feels like the action is happening live in front of you. Only problem is that I haven't been able to match the sound bar with the TV's control so I'm using two controls. I will definitely go with Hisense when I replace the other TV.

TV is great, easy to work, great picture & great colors.

The colors are robust for this unit. I elected to to attach a bracket to the back of mine and mount it. The process was easy and the supports holes work well. The sound quality is really nice and can get to a fairly significant sound level, which means the speakers are not minimum quality. I purchased this unit for the two year manufacturers warranty, which meant I did not have to purchase the store warranty, which would have not given me any additional benefits as they would just use the manufacturer warranty. The picture does not pixel, hesitate, or fluctuate when changing channels.

Hands down the best tv out there for the price. I bought this tv after my older (expensive may I add) tv gave out on me and I am beyond pleased with it! It has everything and more than my older one had for and for what I paid I couldn’t be happier. The quality, the sound, and everything about it is awesome. I would highly recommend

This is an amazing TV for the price. Picture quality is great and I love the Google TV interface. UI doesnt feel sluggish unlike other brands smart OS offerings. What you can do with the Google TV OS is almost limitless. You can pair bluetooth headphones for night listening, pair game controllers, install KODI, install emulators and games, very large selection of streaming apps and a multitude of other multi-functional apps. What you can get out of this TV for the money is an incredible value.

Great Picture and sound quality, ease of use, and looks sleek!

I owned this TV for a year now. Picture quality is super crispy, sounds great too. You also have Google TV built it so you have a wide range of apps you can install. The TV is pretty light weight for easy carrying. Very happy with the purchase

The Hisense has been a great TV with great picture definition and sound! I won’t hesitate to buy another one from Best Buy who’s customer service has always been top notch!

An impressive TV that comes with a small price tag. This model and its predecessor are recommended by several publications and organizations and I would agree. The set has great picture quality and is very easy to set up and use. Some of the latest and greatest features and technology are not available as it is a lower priced option, but you get a lot for your money. If you need the latest and greatest technology for a high end home entertainment system I’d look at higher end sets. If you just need a quality TV in a secondary living room or bedroom like us, then I would highly recommend this set.

The tv has a great picture with great sound. The built in apps make life a breeze. My favorite feature is it works with alexa so I can set a timer for it to turn off.

Meets my expectations, especially at the price. Colors are good and picture is sharp if viewed directly, but is less so when viewed from side. I use a sound bar as the TV sound is just ok.

This tv is pretty solid for its price range. I've had Samsung and Sony tv's in this range and this is far better. It wont compete with high end tv's that are more expensive but its a great tv for the price.

A big tv at this price you’d like quality would lack, but not at all! Tv is great!

Tvs graphics are truly great, sound is good and big volume range. Lots of settings and options to choose from. About a month after i got it though, it started going slow. If i go into netflix for example, then change my mind and try to go back to the Home Screen it takes a long time for the tv to figure out what to do, gets a little laggy while scrolling as well. But overall good tv for the price.

Great TV. Easy setup. Nice picture. Only issue is picture fade when looking from a partial side view. No problem from head on view. Plenty bright screen even in a well it room. My other big screen is a QLED. This is not quite a QLED, but certainly a good quality TV especially for the price difference.
