Great TV if you don't have Xfinity streaming

I really like this tv, from the vivid colors and details, fast streaming, and all the way down to the remote. EXCEPT, I was unaware google TV does not carry my Xfinity streaming app. I was going to make this my main TV because I love the quality of everything, but I was disappointed to find out I have to screencast from another one of my devices if I want to watch my normal streaming cable television app. This is extremely inconvenient and Comcast and google TV need to figure this out. The default picture quality is outstanding and it streams content flawlessly and loads everything but the internet browser (which you probably don't need) super fast. The edges of the tv are very thin and the edge to edge picture quality is sharp, bright, and has natural vivid colors. The blacks are very black and the whites are a bright white for amazing contrast. I really like that I can hook my computer up easily and use this Hisense as a second gigantic screen for video meetings or to see the photos I am editing all blown up large with pretty close matching colors and light to my computer. My previous TV colors were no where in the range of this Hisense TV. There is a little motion blur when streaming content that has a scrolling news feed at the bottom, such as sports scores or news channel updates. This doesn't bother me much. It's completely legible but noticeable if you're looking for it which I was for testing purposes. Another cool feature that really surprised me, the default speakers actually sound good. I had my soundbar connected initially but when I disconnected that to test the speakers, I was very pleasantly surprised at the sound and clarity of the speakers. Its missing the deep base from a subwoofer but the speaker quality is clear, loud if needed, and produces a pretty rich sound from a set of TV speakers. Another thing I like about this TV, which I had missed greatly, is a normal sized remote. It is far less easily lost in couch pillows than some of the smaller streaming remotes. It has all of the buttons I need and the full size just feels better in my hand. There are one touch buttons for Netflix, YouTube, prime, Disney, Tubi, and you can designate a favorite shortcut button too. And it has a brushed metal look finish to it that looks great too. This TV would easily be a 5 out of 5 for me if it had my cable streaming app. I like the google TV platform and it's pretty comparable to other streaming platforms, minus Xfinity. It's lightweight, it does almost everything I want a Smart TV to do and with great vivid colors and contrast I am very happy. I can't use it as my main TV with the lack of the Xfinity app, but if this isn't a problem for you, this TV is a great deal and well worth the purchase.

Hisense does it again! I needed to upgrade my bedroom tv and I did not hesitate to think twice in getting the Hisense 55" Class U7 series. I already had experience with the Hisense brand with my living room tv except it's a 75" and it's the U6 series. Once I received the TV the installation only took about 10-15 to get into my wall bracket. Then setting the TV up was a breeze. I like that the set up was quick once I logged into my account; all the apps were pre installed. As soon as started watching my Hisense 55" U7 series; I was blown away on how this TV's performance just does it all! The picture quality is quite impressive. It's a great TV to watch anything like shows/movies/videos in rooms that have limited lighting or are very dark. My Hisense U7 Series has a brilliant mini LED backlight as well as efficient local dimming quality which permits it to produce bright highlights and deep blacks. Unlike other TV's that I've had in the past this TV has rich black levels, quality contrast, also shadow detail in dark sequences. With it's 4K 144hz experience, this Hisense 55" Class U7 series is also a pretty good tv for gaming. My kids and I thoroughly enjoy playing in this TV; it has great reflection handling as well as HDR peak brightness. Overall, this TV has exceeded my expectations above and beyond! I will definitely continue to buy from the Hisense brand series for any future upgrades.

Over the past few years Hisense has become one of my favorite TV brands. They bring a mix of quality and affordability. The features on this U8 model were very impressive. Here are my thoughts. Pros: - Most newer TVs almost always require a soundbar or other audio system because of cheap or lackluster speakers. This Hisense model not only has impressive audio, but it also has a built in subwoofer that provides very good bass. I watched a few music videos over the past few days and loved the sound quality. - The picture quality is fantastic (check my photo of a 4k video). Movies and TV shows all looked great. I was even able to stream some older programs in 4:3 aspect ratio and the picture appeared enhanced to look HD via upscaling. - Packaging was solid. You always worry about screen damage when a TV is delivered, but they did a good job keeping this package secure and undamaged. The protective film and tape that covered the screen was easy to remove and ensured a flawless screen upon delivery. - I love the remote that this TV came with. It's a good size and weight, and also has back-lighting on the buttons so you can see them in a dark room. But the best thing is, the back-lighting pops on as soon as you pick up the remote as it senses motion. This way, you don't have to press a random button to see the buttons light up and possibly mess up what you were watching. Cons: - Certain apps will not be available to you on this smart TV. While I get that YouTube TV is a competitor to other services that provide live TV streaming, it's unfortunate that I have to hook up a secondary device in order to stream those services. You'll still have access to all the major streamers like Netflix, Peacock, MAX, Amazon Prime etc, but don't count on having access to apps for cable companies that provide a live TV streaming service. I'll need to hook up a Roku, Apple TV, or Xbox to this TV in order to use my live streaming TV service. This is a great television. I recommend it for folks that are looking for mid to high end features and also don't want to spend a ton of money. Hisense has done a great job keeping this model affordable while providing great picture and sound.

Overall, it's a nice package, easy to set up to your taste, picture is fantastic, but the reason I chose this TV was for gaming on my Series X and it exceeded my expectations, 4K wonderful HDR, low latency, 120fps and VRR (and a frame counter option). I got this on sale for $599 which makes it an even better deal

It’s hard to go wrong with this TV- it is a worthy competitor to panels approaching 1.5x the price. It looks *good*- very bright without sacrificing contrast. The built-in speakers are unexceptional but better than most entry-level soundbars, even supporting atmos. It’s worth noting that my unit does suffer from minor dirty screen effect (not noticeable unless using it as a monitor), and the viewing angles are not great for wide seating arrangements. That said, I wouldn’t buy anything cheaper in 2025.

EXCELLENT TV!! We wanted a tv that we didn't have to use all the bells and whistles of cables. Just turn it on and stream or use a dvd if we wanted too. Google tv allows us to turn all the junk off. :):) The picture quality is AMAZING!! We have this one in our family room and we had a Sony very top end and chose this one over that one. It checked all the boxes for refresh, brightness and motion. The speakers are spectacular also!! Save your money and get this one. One month later we purchased the U7 for our bedroom and ditched our Sony as well. :):) But stay with the U7 from Best Buy, not other stores, they are a different model and not the same models, I looked at the specs. Hope this helped:)

Great T. V. I wanted a T. V. for my home office/man cave but I didn't want to spend a whole lot. Initially I was going to get a smaller version of my living room tv whuch is a samsung Q70 QLED. Great tv but i didn't want to spend $1200. After doing some research I landed on this guy and couldn't be happier! I watch movies, sports, do some light gaming on it and so far it has performed spectacularly doing all 3. It is easy to setup and operate once setup is complete. The picture quality and clarity if much better than I was expecting at the price I paid. I'm super happy with this purchase and would absolutely buy this T. V. again.

Very impressed with this TV. Had to replace my Samsung UN55HU6950 55-Inch 4K Ultra HD 60Hz Smart LED TV which I thought had a picture that was better than my Samsung UN65JS8500 65-Inch 4K Ultra HD 3D Smart LED TV. But the picture on this TV is totally awesome. Better brightness and more next gen controls. And it connects to my WI-FI 6 enabled Verizon router. Only one of my ten devices to connect at WI-FI 6 (IEEE 802.11ax for you techies like me). I was also impressed with how professionally this unit was packed in the box. The price was so good, I'm already considering the 75" U8N because of the price and how well it compares to my OLED Alienware Laptop and OLED 32" Alienware monitor. Don't need my Yamaha soundbar on this Dolby Vision enabled TV.

Beautiful, absolutely fantastic. What a huge upgrade this has been from my previous TV. Quite a few picture options plus a high refresh rate make this a great choice. Being a mini-LED, it has a brighter picture than an OLED. While you don’t get the same depth of color range, what is has is more than enough. Perfect for a dark room, and the sound is very good. Overall design is excellent and while I’m still getting used to the Google TV interface after being on Roku for so long, I’m finding it easy to navigate. Never had a Hisense TV before, but my first time experience is highly favorable!

At l first I was gonna get a Samsung TV; you know, it’s a remarkable brand and stuff; but I had the best customer service experience I’ve ever had at best buy and this blue guy, that I don’t remember his name, really did a great job explaining and showing me every detail of different TV models and based out of his knowledge and great work is that I ended up buying this Hisense U7. I’m loved with it so far, great pictures, great sound, got the 55” one so I think the size is perfect. It’s a great option to be honest.

Just wow! My old tv in my office finally died. I was looking for something that would not only great for watching the news, but would also be good for movies and sports. After doing my research I decided on the 55U7N. A friend of mine and purchased a U7K last year and raves about it. The fact that the U7N is nice and bright is because it’s Mini LED. This is great since I have a number of windows in my home office. The picture is amazing. The colors are vibrant and black levels rival the OLED my brother has in his living room. The big test for me, I wanted to see how Game of Thrones looked on it. Reason being, there is a lot of action and dark scenes. I have to say. The U7N looks Phenomenal! I ended up binge watching the entire first season again. Due to limited space I did not get a soundbar. The sound is great. The built in subwoofer really makes a big difference. Full rich sound. I highly recommend. Thinking I may need a 75” for the living room?

    Best bang for buck

Overall strengths- Brightness is likely best in class and price range. Delivers high output without creating washout or blooming. Great app interface with smooth and quick transitions between apps and videos sources. I did a massive amount of research before settling on this, and now a few months on am confident I made a good decision. Downsides- Narrow viewing angle. Becomes quickly apparent in a large seating arrangement. It may be worth getting a larger size screen to help offset narrow viewing angle. Even upgrading to larger size for this TV will still be cheaper than finding a model that handles this issue better. Default calibration is laughably bad. Be prepared to spend some time looking up some recommended settings and programming them in.

When I was comparing the models the U6 has a lower refresh rate but a good price, U7 brings it up to 144Hz which I wanted, and the U8 has that and a brighter image plus better audio. But Mini-LED in general is very bright so this is the best bang for buck model of them all. You'll need an HDMI 2.1 cable for 144Hz and the TV only comes with HDMI ports. It works great with good image quality and loud speakers. Everything is clean and clear. The initial setup took a bit long with so many account prompts and setup questions but that's just Google TV's fault. Google TV itself runs fine if a little wonky at times and has plenty of apps along with free TV options. It TVs as it should and I'm very happy with it.

The picture on this TV is simply unbelievable for a mid-range QLED TV! The blacks are very deep and well defined. The colors are very rich and the TV can get very bright. The settings on this TV are extremely diverse and detailed. The gaming display is also unbelievable!! If you can get this TV on sale you will be very hard pressed to find anything to compete with it in picture quality and features even in the well-known brands such as Samsung and LG in the same class, guaranteed!! From the intense research I was able to do prior to buying this TV I found out that it has 384 dimming zones which explains why the contrast is so rich and detailed as described above. I have had the TV for about 4 months now and I am extremely happy with it in all respects. I used rtings.com to do most of my research and I can tell you firsthand that it was extremely accurate.

This is a very nice TV. The colors and the refresh rate are very nice. It works very nice together. I was going to get the QD7 or U6N at a bigger size. Looking at these TV reveiews online don't give it enough clairfication. Having a native 120-144hz TV panel is a much better than the previous generation of TVs and thats how many TVs need to be seen in reviews. Many compare to other high-end models, but this TV is much better than previous generation of TV. I say stay with your budget as other new TVs released like the U6N and QM7 have a very high quality picture compared to previous generation.

Our 13 year ojd Samsung had a backlight power failure so this is a good indicator of a necessary replacement. For several years I have been following the development of ATSC 3.0, and living here in Kansas City area we are blessed with several NextGenTV channels. After researching several models and asking my son who consequently deals with the home entertainment industry suggested a particular brand and model. I then offered up this Hisense model to which he said it has very simular specs. We found this on BestBuy web site and the Lees Summit store was 8 days to pickup, did a local search and Independence Center store had 1 (one) so I setup a pickup for the next day. The personnel at this store are very friendly and seem to go all out to help you as a customer. We were greeted by Julien, nice guy GO SEE HIM! then we went to the computer area to look at laptops and were greeted by a young fellow his name slips me now ( Oscar?), he also helped us while we looked at various options. We said thanks for the help and started to the front to claim our pickup and he (Oscar) was there to assist with that and car loading of the unit. This is absoultely a great set, Easy setup and BRIGHT we had to tone it down. We love the NextGenTV options and Google TV give us many different channels to watch. I can only imagine what the newer models will bring, we are VERY content with this one, I highly recommend this TV, Thanks, David
