    Perfect TV for our needs

So far, so good! Have had the TV for about a week and am very satisfied. I did a great deal of research to narrow it down to the U7. It does not disappoint. Vivid picture, and better sound than I anticipated. I really like the Google TV interface. Clean, intuitive easy to navigate. I wanted a "better" TV than entry level 4K, but didn't want to break the bank (for me that number was $750). On sale, The U7 is a perfect fit, on sale for under $550 was the sweet spot. I can't believe how favorite shows like Law and Order look completely different and brand new as compared to the picture our older/replaced 1080 LCD "dumb" TV. The only "bad" thing so far is I now want to replace the old "dumb" TV in my bedroom and this U7 set the bar!

    Next Gen tuner

For the money it has a lot of good but some downsides too. Great picture with a high quality input signal. I watch OTA with an antenna. This tv is the lowest priced tv that can get Next Gen stations. LG doesn't even offer the 3.0 tuner and you have to go to the top line Sonys to get that. Don't use the google streaming and use a ROKU. Works better for me. Streaming 4k looks great. Good sound for tv speakers. I stopped doing updates because every time Hisense updates it messes something up like the settings or voice synch goes off every time.... Problem. Playing DVD, Blue ray I get this yellow looking light brown tint to everything. Even whites look dirty light yellow. Tried a different player, cables, blue light adjust and all kinds of settings and color adjusts. Nothing could fix it. Maybe just my TV has this flaw? Hisense basically has zero support. Call, you get an "AI" that tells you to do a factory reset. (Yes. Did it. Did not help) Emails not answered. This only happens playing disks. Odd. Everything else looks great. Wish I could fix this one problem? The "manual" is not helpful and even has a remote in the picture that has buttons the actual remote does not have. Tried to do "favorite" channels. Says to push menu and 3 line text button. The remote has no 3 lines text button. Worry about it holding up in long run. Bought warranty. It's starting to do this weird thing where it just goes blank and shuts off for just a second then comes back on to whatever you are. So strange but can live with it as I dread trying to get warranty work ( from what I've read from others) . I do really like the picture with OTA Next Gen channels. Great feature so I'll live with the flaws.

This tv has a very dark black, gets very bright in both HDR and SDR content, motion is extremely good on filmmakers mode. It’s also a excellent gaming tv, the speakers and subwoofer are excellent (almost like it’s the best tv for the money)

What a purchase. I mean, literally nothing about this tv even remotely comes close to being a flaw. I can’t name one. Setup was simple and fast, the stand was easy to install to the bottom, and the tv itself is a beast. Dolby atmos, great built in speakers, up to 4k 120hz viewing experience, a simple and well functioning operating system, the remote is great, I could go on and on. Got it on sale for about $480 too, an absolute steal. Definitely recommend this tv to anyone looking for a great gaming and entertainment experience.

I really love this TV. The picture is excellent. I am able to easily manage the tv through my Roku remote. It does require me to hit 'HOME' on the Roku Remote to change from the Google home screen to the Roku home screen, but this is intuitive and easy. The only misconception I found was that only HDMI 3 & 4 had the 144hz input options; HDMI 1 & 2 were 60hz. Since broadcast tv only currently uses 60hz, this is ok, but all this advertisement about 120hz and 144hz apparently does not apply to normal tv watching and is much ado about nothing.

Great TV. This 55U7N has it all. The most impressive part to me is the sound. I put my 400.00 Samsung soundbar in the closet. The built in speakers with built in sub are fantastic. Speech is clear with all programing and movies. Very emersive sound. Took very little tweaking to get it picture perfect. The Google TV interface is very quick and responsive. Easy to navigate the menus.

Solid all around TV that interfaces and interacts well with many apps and other devices which adds a ton of convenience and versatility in use. The free channels available is surprisingly extensive and quite useful. The picture quality options are good and the picture is solid for gaming and media content. Could be the tiniest bit sharper but not bad at all.

Really good bang for your buck. I did a lot of research for my needs (HDMI 2.1, 4K, 144hz refresh rate, HDR, Dolby, etc) and it ticked all the boxes. I game on an Xbox Series X and S (in the bedroom) which is where this tv is located. So far absolutely no issues, seamless setup, and it looks fantastic. I would recommend for anyone looking for a very good, and budget friendly tv. Use my research and experience to your advantage !!

This TV is such a great value for the price. Rivals the much more expensive Mini-LED competitors while costing much less. The Google TV interface is also great, and somehow way snappier than my Sony Bravia OLED that was 4x the price.

The tv is easy to set up and has a great picture. I like the preset buttons for Netflix, YouTube, etc, and the fact that there’s one you can program for whatever service you like that maybe isn’t included in the presets. The TV also went on a better sale 6 days after I bought it and Best Buy adjusted the price for me without any argument. All around, it was a good purchase.
