Hisense has done it again. The U7 (and above) are top-notch models. with a variable refresh, 4k HDR supporting HD10 and Dolby Vision, QLED performance as well as Google TV, these TVs are top-notch. I would recommend the U7 or U8 any time of the week. While other competitors (cough LG, cough Samsung) are playing a standard battle with HDR10+ and HDR10, manufacturers like Hisense and TCL just toss all of them into their TVs, and we benefit from them. This TV is not cheap, but it's also not expensive. We've loved the TV, and the overall quality that it provides. It replaced a Vizio TV that we constantly have problems with.

Now listen I love a good TV. I’m a sucker for one LGc3’s and all of that. But when I say for the price, this is the best TV out right now. TCL has one as well and it’s pretty good but I do a lot of movie watching I watch a ton of sports and I love my Xbox and my PlayStation five and this TV has not disappointed me. I got it on sale roughly 500 bucks is the best investment that I’ve made in a while. I have a 65 inch Samsung 4K it looks good. This looks 10 times better. I watched a ton of YouTube review videos. Everybody gave it a stamp of approval. I’m giving it one now. It’s bright. It’s clear it’s crisp. The colors are amazing and you don’t need to buy the u8 because the only differences brightness and in reality you won’t notice the difference because this TV is actually putting out 1400 nets even though it’s rated for 1000. If you don’t want to spend an arm in the leg, grab it the only thing I can see is I don’t really care for the remote because the back light doesn’t stay lit enough but remotes don’t even come with the backlight so you’re still winning.

I bought this TV (because it was cheap) to replace my old 1080P with a 4k for an arcade pedestal I’m building and also because it has a higher refresh rate. I don’t care for it being a smart TV because it’s only going to be used for playing games on, but the picture looks great and it was easy to setup up and get connected to the internet.

Bought this TV a few weeks ago, and i love this tv, its a great upgrade from my 2019 TCL. The motion is great, no motion blur or judder, plus the customization of motion clarity settings makes it easy to adjust as needed to personal preference or to the content you're watching, i have the judder setting to 6 and blur setting to 8 and there's no ghosting or artifacts shown. The HDR/Dolby Vision is great, very lifelike. My PS5 works great with the TV at or up to 120fps. The Google interface is slow to respond at times, but so is my portable 4k Google Chromecast device, hopefully an update will make them both more responsive. There also needs to be an update to disable the TV speakers, because the TV sound setting won't stay on soundbar eARC or it could just be my soundbar issue. I'm a fan of QLED TVs, more than OLED, and this tv overall does a great job on picture quality, though at side viewing angles the colors start to fade.

I have owned this TV for about one month, and generally, I like it very much. First, this is just about the best budget TV on the market, far out-performing more expensive offerings from companies such as LG and Samsung. Just read some of the professional reviews online. The image quality is fantastic whether used in a bright room (it is a bright TV with fantastic reflection control) or a dark room, (great native contrast with the addition of a very good local dimming feature). The calibration seemed to be very good out of the box. My only complaint is lip-sync/audio-delay issues related to using this TV with my surround sound system. With my previous TV, I had plenty of lip-sync adjustment if there were differences between one source or another. However, with the Hisense U7K, there is not nearly enough lip-sync adjustment in my AV receiver to overcome the severe lag if I take the sound directly from my Blu-Ray player and send it straight to the receiver. All is not lost, however, since the Hisense can pass-through virtually every audio signal out there. I can get the lip-sync spot on every time when I pull the sound off of the TV instead of sending it directly from my Blu-Ray player to my receiver (when it actually works, however: more on this in a moment). Apparently the tv has a default lip-sync/audio delay built in, just in order to allow the TV time to process the visual image before it sends the sound to its built-in speakers. Also, under the “Audio output” menu there is an additional in-TV lip-sync delay (not listed in milliseconds, just listed as a range from 1-20, or there abouts). So, the TV itself allows me to add additional lip-sync/audio delay in order to get the delay perfect. Again, this is when things work. The biggest issue I have is that this TV, sometimes, simply refuses to send any sound to my AV receiver. My receiver actually recognizes the correct source audio signal (DTS, Dolby, or whatever) so there is communication from the TV to the receiver. However, there will be no sound actually sent out of the optical audio port to the receiver. I have stopped watching a movie one day, turned everything off, and returned to finish the movie the next day only to have no sound passed through the TV to my receiver. There was no change of settings in any of the components. The TV just refuses to send the sound to my receiver. Several times I thought that I had it figured out, but I was wrong. Once I went back to using the TV speakers and noticed that I had muted the sound while just watching the TV previously. That time un-muting the TV fixed the problem. The next time the sound went out, I checked and the TV speakers were not muted. I changed the audio output from “auto” to “Pass-through” and the sound worked. The next time there was no sound, nothing worked short of shutting down the receiver, the Blu-Ray player and RESTARTING the TV. Simply turning the TV off and on did nothing. You must either unplug the TV for several minutes or go into the settings menu and actually “Restart” the TV. Hisense TVs are apparently known for quirkiness with their sound. Some videos online say that this even applies to the built-in speakers. I do not always use my AV receiver; often I just use the built-in speakers and I have yet to experience any sound issues with the built-in speakers. In fact, this TV actually has a small subwoofer built in and the sound from the TV speakers is actually quite good. So, if you do not intend to use a surround system or a sound bar (or if your AV receiver allows for at least 200ms delay), you should have no complaints with this TV. Otherwise, you can expect frustration if you plan to use a sound system. That being said, I have always been able to stumble across a solution within about 5 minutes, but there is no rhyme or reason to any of the changes in settings that I have made. Once I just unplugged from HDMI-1 and moved the cable to HDMI-2 and all was well (the HDMI settings in the TV were identical between the two ports, so go figure). The frustration is that there seems to be no rhyme or reason to the sound issues. The problem seems to be software issues with the TV. To conclude, this TV is such a fantastic performer visually that I am willing to live with the quirkiness in its ability to deal with a sound system. If the sound system does not work today, I will just use the built-in speakers. No worries, it will inexplicably work tomorrow:)

Have had this TV a week and am absolutely amazed. I have had much more expensive TV’s from other brands that didn’t look this good. That being said, it isn’t going to look as great as OLED, or have the processing power of a Sony. However, for the price, it is hard to beat. My lone gripe is with Hisense’s software, as it tends to be buggy. Being that this isn’t the only Hisense TV I have had that has had issues, I don’t believe it to be an isolated problem. On the other hand, an external streaming device, i.e Roku, chromecast, gaming system, tends to bypass these bugs, as a lot of the problems revolve around apps, updates and WIFI connectivity in general.

This TV is excellent if you have a console or PC that can utilize the high resolution and refresh rate. The speakers are very good, and the TV's brightness is very high. Regarding the U7 vs. U8 versions, if you don't need the additional 500 nits of peak brightness, choose the U7; that's the only difference. I have my 4090 connected to it with HDMI 2.1 and can push 144 Hz at 4K in some lighter titles. For the titles I can't, the VRR is very good once you enable it, which did take a bit of digging to find. The speakers on the built-in apps are very good and very loud. On YouTube Music, I have it at maybe 15, max 20. Anything more than that in my space starts to get painful, but it is in my bedroom, which is not very large.

Excellent price to performance. Gets very bright, software is good, and supports Dolby Vision and DTS and Dolby audio formats. Only downside is viewing angles are pretty bad. If you are watching from normal angles, blacks are near OLED levels and colors and contrast look great.

I Really like this TV. Recently bought for my workout room in the basement. Although I have not compared them side by side I would say the picture quality is on par with my LG C1. Also like the fact that it has Android Tv built in. It is very cheap compared to other Tvs with the same specs. The only concern I have is not sure if it will last as long as other TVs because I never owed a Hisense.

Overall excellent. It replaced an old Insignia tv. Have used it to play both the Switch and a PC on it. Game mode worked great. The colors are fantastic and look forward to an Apple Tv going on it for calibration and browsing. The smart features are pretty good. There is lag when you first turn it on but it speeds up pretty quickly after. It could be the internet connection for YouTube TV but sports didn't look so great on it. Was watching the Michigan vs. Iowa Big Ten Championship game and it was a little disappointing. I have read that the above mentioned Apple TV could help it out a lot. In closing I do think it is the best TV at the price point. You would have to jump up a lot for better features and processing.

The Hisense ULED U7 TV offers impressive visuals with Quantum Dot technology for vibrant colors and deep contrasts. Its local dimming enhances dark scenes, and the high refresh rate and Game Mode Pro make it ideal for gaming and sports. With Android TV or Google TV, you get easy access to streaming apps and voice control. Overall, it’s a feature-rich TV that provides a premium experience at a mid-range price.

I've had this TV for about 30 days now. I use this as my primary gaming computer monitor and am able to get the full 144hz and full 4k quality as well as HDR. It takes a bit of configuration and playing with it to figure out how to get it to work but pretty great performance. The Google TV set up is pretty easy to get everything set up as long as you have everything stored in Google. After a bit of streaming though, the TV gets pretty logged down and you have to unplug it for a bit so that everything clears and cools down but after that it seems to run pretty good. My Vizio TV remote for the TV I have next to it seems to control this one too but not vice versa so that is a smidge annoying but oh well. For this price for this quality, definitely worth the frustration.

There's literally nothing on the market at this price point that's comparable. This TV punches up in every aspect. Amazing contrast, complimented by the mini led illumination, makes you forget it's an LCD panel. Enhanced color saturation provided by the quantum dot layer produces deep reds, to bright yellows, and everything in between. Motion blur is virtually non existent due to the native 120Hz refresh rate. My samsung Q80C is only slightly more refined than the U7K due to the more robust processor, but at a much higher price point. I highly recommend!

This TV offers exceptional picture quality with bright HDR highlights, deep blacks, and vibrant colors, making it suitable for both bright and dark rooms. It's an excellent choice for gamers, featuring 4K at 120Hz (and 144Hz for PCs), Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), and low input lag. The upscaling is impressive, and the built-in sound system, which includes a subwoofer, provides solid depth. However, the viewing angles are limited, and the screen can be quite reflective. Some motion smearing may occur in dark scenes, and while the local dimming is good, it isn’t as precise as higher-end models. Additionally, with only two HDMI 2.1 ports, connectivity may be an issue for multiple gaming systems. Overall, this TV offers excellent value for those seeking premium performance without the premium price tag.

An absolute beast of a television. Insane contrast in all modes. HDR Game mode is so great with super low-latency. I play rock band and it is almost 1:1 in the calibration at default settings, which if you have played a rhythm game, you know that that is really helpful. 4K HDR BLURAY: Tested They Live dir. by John Carpenter and it popped in all the right settings. stunning contrast in both a dark and bright room. if i had to make a complaint, it would be the sound is a little strange to get used to from my old 2016 Hisense display. It sounds better and has substantial bass and clarity, but it is quite loud at even low numbers. NOT A BAD THING
