Gaming 120fps
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tv overall is great for the price you buy it for. I really got it because I wanted a tv/monitor that could play 120fps for gaming and this tv does exactly that. I didn't want to spend 1000$ plus just to be able to access this feature on my Xbox series X so this Hisense fit the bill. Picture is good quality and backlight works great. If your looking for a step above for better picture at 120fps im confident the U8H will exceed your expectations but again I wasn’t looking to spend that much money and I got this right on sale after Christmas for $499.99 and also comes with 2 year manufacturer warranty. *to get 120fps on Xbox series x you must turn off Dolby vision , they don’t have it integrated at the moment

Hisense for the Win.
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great TV from Hisense. Super impressed by this brand, despite the cheaper price, the quality is up there compared to some LED from LG, and maybe even the entry level Samsung and Sony TVs. This version comes with one HDMI 2.1 that allows you to game in 4K with up to 120hz (fps) refresh rate, great for gaming in current gen consoles like the PS5 or XBOX. The android (GoogleTV) software is snappy and quick most of the time. Really impressed with this Hisense TV.

excellent picture, gets warm, game mode for 4:4:4
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.great tv for movies, computing, gaming, bright! you need to learn the settings for pc use though. So, the game mode for it lets you have 4:4:4 uncompressed color chroma to the monitor / tv. If you don't use that setting with a gpu that can give 4k 4:4:4 you will see 4:2:0 which looks horrible at 55". When you enable the enhanced hdmi setting and use game mode as well the colors are outstanding. The brightness is night and day from energy saving mode to game mode. When I use the theatre and or imax mode, it makes movies have a more subdued and beautiful, buttery look, and local dimming isn't that great honestly. Mostly what is happening for me is that those movies online and downloaded locally look really bad not because the tv is poor quality, but that H.264 H.265 compression shows it's flaws much easier. Using photoshop and 3ds v=ray gpu etc anrold, after effects, this monitor / tv is a godsend for work. When you work at 60fps (60-480hz on this monitor depending on the settings sort of) it just looks incredible. The 120fps (120hz call it) looks good, but it dumps down to 4:2:2 and 4:2:0 so really for xbox series x it works really nicely if things are moving quickly and the super detail and color aren't too important. It's certainly never going to push 4:4:4 120fps into this or any monitor / tv under $2000 in 2022-2023. Heat. It does give off some heat, so you might want a quiet 8-12"-24" box fan in your space behind it if you want this to last more than 1-2 years. My last hisense had been hit with a jolt when a power strip sort of came apart as I lifted it and it fizzled a but when turning on, quite dark, so instead of $50 from alibaba for the boards I just got new tech. The 50" hisense lasted 5 years and was on most of the time even as I slept. This new power saving mode on the U7H lowers to 4:2:0 and brightness way down near or under 250-300 nits which is great for your electric bill and the lifespan of this if you also just keep it on. Nothing like a new tv that can turn on off on without buzzing. I got this on sale at $500 in november 2022 and $100 back after with my best buy citibank card. That's much better than the $250-300 black friday 55"-65" deals only if you need the 120fps, bight nits (for your eyes will start to degrade at lower nits over time)... and you have a fan or good airflow for this. It isn't that heavy, about 10lbs lighter than I mistakenly though it was, and from 50-55" upgrade, I could easily find space with my 2 other 4k monitors I have, 32" and 39" respectively in a reverse V shape in my room. The sound is ok, better in smaller rooms. Certainly hook this up to a receiver with ARC and or the headphone jack like I do for now and it will not matter really.

Perfect for 120hz Gaming on my Laptop and Xbox
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great budget 120hz TV! Can’t beat BestBuy prices! The picture quality is awesome! The speakers are above average, don’t even need a sound bar. Make sure to change hdmi to enhanced format for 120hz. The 120hz works great on my laptop and Xbox. PC gamers should change picture optimization to “Text Clarity” for a true sharp 4k image.

Was a gift
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought for my elderly neighbor as a Birthday gift when his TV died. He thanks me regularly for it, as it was a massive upgrade in size and quality. No complaints, except the volume is wonky with YouTube sometimes, but that’s probably the app, not the tv. Built in apps are smooth. Lighting is even, no clouding or bright spots, no bad pixels after a year. Sound is fine for a man with poor hearing to hear clearly. I’d buy another if I needed a TV like it.

Absolutely amazing TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been a Sony, LG, and Samsung TV consumer for decades and they are great TVs. But this Hisense U7 ULED 55 model is right there with them. I have never been more impressed with the image and sound quality. Mind blowing sharpness and detail. Also super impressed with the sound. Was planning to buy additional speakers to assist the emersive sound but is not needed because the sound is incredible as is. The TV is in a bedroom so it has plenty of sound emersion for me. I was skeptical at first, but did my research and took the leap. The U7 is affordable and stunning.

Very Happy Best Deal for better features.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As far as I can tell its the best deal for a lot of the features you find on more expensive brands. 120hz freesync was the reason I picked it and works great. Got to get in the menu to turn off motion smoothing etc. But you should do that with all TV's to get the set up you want. 4 stars because I have 3d blurays. All these TVs don't use 3D anymore. I'm going to have to get a projector down the line.

Great TV for the Price
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome Tv for the price..did make some adjustments to settings as per the RTiNG site and made the picture way better. I currently have a firestick 4k and playstation connected to this tv..great gaming and movie wayching experience. I own a Sony x90 Tv as well..but for the price, this Hisense TV delivers similar picture quality. You will need a soundbar to get a better sound..

Fantastic TV
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is a fantastic bargain if you find it on a sale, and the regular price is also a great bang for your buck. I’m using it mainly for gaming and the 120hz refresh rate is amazing. Be sure and set the HDMI settings to advanced to utilize this capability. Overall a great purchase, and if you are willing to spend the extra money, the UH8 (one step up from this model) is a mini-led 4k. This tv is just regular led but has full array local dimming which is a huge plus, and rare at this price point and quality. The sound is also surprisingly great.
