Good display, bad internals don't buy

Turns out Hisense uses very cheap memory/storage which degrades after use of the built in OS. Had to replace the main board since it just past warranty period. Last time I start from LG, Samsung, Sony

Wow, Just Wow

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The HDR brightness was phenomenal, but i noticed some serious issues for my personal tastes - horrible color banding even on high quality content. eArc port did not work and introduced sound delay when using a sysstem. Gaming at 120hz looked bad/off. These issues may be fixed with a firmware update, but in its current state i do not recommend this tv. I exchanged it for the TCL R655 and that panel has been mostly excellent.

Not good.

Good until it died

Hisense getting better every year!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had the 2021 model H8G quantum series and let me tell you, this new U8H is in a whole different league. the processing speed is superior even to the $2500+ 75inch tv i have in the living room. the brightness and vividness of colors is unmatched at this price point, and the blacks are really deep thanks to the Full Array Local Dimming. when hooked to a good internet connection weather wireless or wired, you will be able to stream content in 4K with HDR with no issues at all. the sound volume and clarity are really good and the remote is very easy to operate especially with the dedicated buttons for Netflix, Prime video, YouTube, Disney, Tubi and Peacock. the availability of Google assistant and the Google tv system that runs this TV makes the experience much better and more enjoyable. I logged into my Google account and my favorite apps were already there and i just needed to log into them and thats it! moving from one room to the other wasn't an issue no more. This Tv has 4 HDMI ports, 2 of them are HDMI2.1 and 2 USB ports with one of them being USB3 and Bluetooth for hooking up with things like a headphone for discreet listening if the tv is in the bedroom. mounting the TV was a breeze as it comes with 4 screws in the back but I used longer screws that came in with the wall mounting bracket that I purchased. mounting the tv needed a drill, a level and 10 minutes of time. I really like this TV. it made my home office a better experience and a great escape and when my wife's friends come to visit I dont have to go to the bedroom to use the tv anymore!

Cannot display 4k @120hz

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Basically the TV's processor can't handle a 4K/120Hz signal from an external device via HDMI without compromising the image quality and reducing the load. Therefore each pixel in a 3840 x 2160 signal at 120Hz will not be represented on the display. To reduce the strain on the processor and display an image on the TV at 4K/120Hz the vertical resolution pixel count is cut in half. Some people don't consider this a big deal, as your eyes may not see the reduced quality of the image from several feet away. What people fail to realize is, if you set your external device (an Xbox Series X, for example) to output 4K/120Hz, the TV will compromise the image quality in all resolutions. (Playing a 1080p game in that mode will look worse than the same game at 60Hz.) This is a bad trend in the TV industry right now, and when a manufacturer says their TV can do 4k/120Hz, it simply means it can ACCEPT such a signal from an external device, but you may not get true pixel to pixel representation. In other words "Fake 4K/120Hz." When shopping for a gaming TV, make sure it will display a full 4K image at 120Hz. Unless you don't think it's a big deal. Some people don't care - they just want the 120Hz reaction time

Amazing TV

I don't game, so can't speak to gaming performance but for movie/tv watching, it's the best TV I've ever owned. Deep blacks, bright, very responsive. Fan of Google TV too. For the money, it's very hard to beat.

Best 55’’ QLED TV on the Market

After a great deal of research, Professional Reviews analysis, and Customer Reviews, this Hisense QLED TV replaced my Samsung that succumbed to screen darkening issues. The screen is large, bright, evenly lit, crisp and clear. The sound is very good, and there are sufficient connection options. Brilliant execution! I thought Samsung was quite good, but this is head and shoulders above/better. You could spend another $500-1200, and not do better. Better yet, I bought it on Sale. The very best thing about this set is the superb software and integration with the simple remote control. Using Apps, choosing Apps, connecting to WiFi, and the exit from, say Netflix to my DirecTV connection is clear, simple and one-button easy. Believe me, this is both extraordinary, and unique. High marks for both flexibility AND ease-of-use. Exemplary! Quite simply, not equaled in the marketplace, except by the screens of the very best OLED sets. None have superior software/user interface. None!

Hisense is a terrible company

On top of that, Hisense's customer support is horrible. They hung up on me twice, and the 3rd time the technician marked the issue as resolved without ever fixing it. Such a garbage company.

Best tv of 2022

After spending about 15 minutes calibrating the picture (definitely turn off eco mode and have all your hdmi signals set to enhanced) the tv rocked the most amazing picture I’ve ever seen on a tv less than $2200! I’ve yet to put this tv in any situation it couldn’t handle well. The blacks of a Batman movie or Black Panther? No crushing. Fast movement of lightsabers? No stutter. HDR processing is the best Hisense has ever done. Audio quality is fantastic for a tv, complete with a built in “subwoofer”… Those looking to pass Atmos or DTSHD to a surround sound system this tv supports eARC through HDMI. IMAX Enhanced offerings from sources like Disney+ give you full screen, full resolution picture that easily rivals the theater experience. You’ll never pay $12 for a movie ticket again. This is the tv for people that want an oled but not the oled price tag or burn-in. It’s well worth every penny of its retail price and a steal at sale price!
