This model does very well with all the tests on the RTINGS website. And the display is beautiful. The great brightness is a surprise. The black levels and contrast are 1st rate. The built-in sound is surprisingly good. Better than most large TVs. Highly recommended.

I purchased this TV a little over a year ago and I am still really pleased with it. The picture quality is great and it gets SUPER bright. The sound is decent without the need of a soundbar and the subwoofer works well enough. The only issues that I have had are with bugs or glitches for example, sometimes when i switch inputs from the home screen, the screen will go black and stay black until I power the unit off and back on again. The second issue I think has to do with hardware glitches, sometimes when I switch inputs half the screen will flicker like a bad fluorescent bulb is the best way i can describe it. Again, this is usually resolved by turning the TV off and on again. These issues are not a common occurrence however.

The brightness is real with this one! If you are unable to have a sound bar or home theater sound system, the sub and speakers are miles above other tvs. High end streaming and blue ray look wonderful!

Wonderful tv with a fantastic picture quality. I don't really use the google tv voice functions but the google tv interphase is quick and unobtrusive, probably the best youtube experience I've had on a tv. One issue I did have was a backlight failure at just over a year of use. I'm currently working with Hisense to see what our solution will be but I have not doubt they'll try to make it right. I will try to update when a resolution comes, since customer service is a big reason why alot of us make these kinds of purchases. So to summarize picture is 9/10, brightness is 10/10, sound 6/10 (everyone has a soundbar now), and quality 9/10 (build quality is top notch, hopefully my issue is a quirk)

Amazing features for the price; 120hz motion and unique advanced settings. Be sure to set back lighting to about 13 and adjust brightness accordingly. Also set to "Film" for smooth TV and Movies. Hisense is definitely hitting above it's price for a quality TV.

Wow just wow. I have a living rooms with lots is windows and this tv displays images no problem. Plus very affordable to have a 2.1 hdmi and VRR. Sounds decent with its own subwoofer built in, so it can handle its own till you decide your audio preference. Also while only having for a short while I’m impressed with the Google Os for the tv. I’ve use Roku,LG and Samsungs versions and so far this is my favorite. Perfect for PS, I’m not a serious gamer where frame rate is a big deal to me but I can definitely see a difference when a tv can handle what the PS5 dishes out! So if your looking for an tv that can handle bright rooms with local dimming and VRR with out the price of an OLED this is it!

The HiSense ULED U8 4K TV is fantastic. It has amazing picture, great sound (With a built in Sub-Woofer), Google TV is wonderful, and the interface lets you consolidate all your streaming services. (Plus, the built in Browser lets you connect to any sites that don't have a streaming app). If you have a current Gen game console (Series X or PS5) the ARC HDMI port will give you a buttery smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and a neat feature is that even with an HDMI splitter the TV recognizes what consoles you have connected to any input and will let you know their status (Even the Battery charge on a Switch). For everything this TV gives you the price is unreal, do yourself a favor and pick this TV up ASAP.

It's an amazing TV for the price. Screen is bright. Sometimes overly but is that really a complaint when you can change your back light with ease?. I have both the PlayStation 5 and an Xbox series. X hooked to it and they both look and play amazing on it. Every feature of both the systems visually is supported. Can't recommend this TV enough. Built-in sound is amazing for a TV. Has a subwoofer in the back. Supports 120 hertz VRR and ALLM. This is an amazing TV for a gamer. Also, the Google TV OS has come a long way and is very functional, and if you're an Android user fits seamlessly within the ecosystem you're already in. You should buy this TV

Absolutely underrated TV. I got sick of my 7 year old Vizio so did my research on new tvs. I couldn't be happier. The picture quality is amazing and the sound actually is pretty good that I don't need my sound bar. Everyone has their own thoughts on this TV but $700 you can't beat it. Also this TV is ideal for bright rooms. If your going to put this TV in a bed room or home theater skip it. If you are putting this in a room with a lot of lights or windows it's the best TV you could find. For the TV freaks that have to calibrate a TV in order to watch it. Then skip this as the out of the box is just as good as calibrated. Needless to say this TV is amazing and I couldn't be happier

I was debating between this TV and the TCL Series 6, which goes at around the same price. After watching many reviews and doing my own research, I opted to go with this tv and I'm glad I did. It's everything you might want on a TV with a reasonable price tag. I wanted a TV that would work with next generation gaming and that it would play sports without the ghosting effect, that's why I was looking for a 120hz refresh rate. Overall, this is such a great deal for everything that you get. Image quality is great, sound is better than anything I could have expected. I'm loving this TV!

Look no further just get it you won't regret it. Been a Sony guy all my life because hey it's a Sony. Wanted a 55 in Mini LED TV for streaming movies, tv shows and of course bought a Sony first after days of research, comparison YouTube videos. Was very happy with color, display simple menu and features. That was suppose to be the end of the story. Then by chance on YouTube this Hisense tv review was on my screen and thought what is this Mini LED tv for 1/3 the price of my Sony with such good reviews. So did little more home work and found out it's a company based in China. Red flag no way was sticking with my Sony. Not buying a brand I never heard of made by a chinese company. But still curious because of all the reviews so went to Bestbuy to check it out in person. Saw it and thought its pretty good so bought one and went home to compare with my Sony. I was completely surprised how good the display on the Hisense was once I hook it up. Because you cannot tell from the image you see in the store. It was almost as good as the Sony with no color adjustments. What really got me was how smooth the picture quality was without motion enhancements. I don't like soap opera effect so I turn off my motion enhancement feature. There was some reviews about possible stutters on the image and yes it happened to me as well. In two week period it happened twice for 1 second. But after resetting my modem never happened again. Probably wifi signal coming from the modem. Also the sound quality is really good with the sub woofer built into the back of the tv so returned my Sony soundbar. Final verdict 1. Bought it on sale $649 1/3 the price of Sony 2. Picture quality and build quality very good 3. 3 year manufacturer warranty 4. After some color and setting adjustment made tv is just incredible 5. Again color and picture quality will surprise you 6. Now a Hisense fan bye bye expensive Sony it was fun while it lasted.

The picture quality of this TV is nothing short of outstanding for the price. HDR content is bright and punchy, games look great on my PS5, movies are immersive visually, nothing to complain about whatsoever in terms of picture quality. Where this tv has some shortcomings are with eARC. Often, eARC output to my soundbar will be noticeably out of sync, or, may not function at all, until a change of input, restart of the TV/soundbar, or manually engaging the option in the settings. Its not enough to cause me to return the TV, but my previous Hisense U6G did not have the issues. Something to be wary of if you have an eARC soundbar/AV receiver.

I chose this model for our very sunny and bright condo living room. It was a dramatic improvement but only in terms of brightness, but in every other respect as well. Google TV is growing on me, as well (I'm gradually retiring our Roku as a result). There might be equally good sets for the money if you're using it in a dark room, but I'm convinced that this one stands alone for those needing an especially bright and sharp picture.

Mind-blowing Picture, Packed with Power – Easily the Best TV I’ve Ever Owned! I am so impressed with my new 55” Hisense U8H! The picture quality is next-level—bright, vivid, and incredibly detailed. Whether I’m watching a movie in HDR or catching a game, the colors pop, the blacks are deep, and the contrast is unreal. It honestly feels like a theater in my living room. The mini-LED backlighting is no joke—it handles both dark scenes and bright sunlight with ease. I have a lot of windows, and this TV doesn’t just keep up, it shines. Gaming on it? Flawless. The HDMI 2.1 ports, 120Hz refresh rate, and low input lag make it perfect for my PS5. No screen tearing, super responsive, and the visuals are buttery smooth. Even the sound surprised me! The built-in speakers are rich and punchy—I didn’t feel like I had to hook up a soundbar right away. The Google TV interface is also smooth and easy to use. Setup was a breeze and I had all my apps and streaming services ready in minutes. Overall, this TV is packed with premium features at a price that seriously feels like a steal. Hisense knocked it out of the park with the U8H. I’m beyond happy with my purchase!

Have been playing my PS5 and watching various movies on this tv, the brightness on this thing is crazy and the contrast enabled by the mini-led is mind blowing. I've been using tbe theater night picture mode with backlight increased. Of course with any backlit tv there is backlight bleed but on this one it's hardly noticeable. HDR content is extra impressive with deep blacks and almost too bright highlights feels so immersive. For gaming the imput latency is pretty low input latency in game mode.
