Refuses to turn on via remote

It worked for the first month and then all of a sudden I have to “reset” the tv every time I want to watch it. It won’t power on with the remote so I have to unplug the tv for a minute and then plug it back in to then have to turn it on via remote. I shouldn’t have to do that EVERYTIME I want to watch my nice big flatscreen tv.

Sad as we have had for two years and treated it very carefully.
