I replaced a 55" Roku TV with this model because Roku limited my access to certain apps. I am not a pixel snob looking for the ultimate picture, but I am a techno-geek who needs accessibility to varied hardware and software. I connected a 7.1 ch home theater amp via the ARC HDMI. I run YouTubeTV as my primary streaming service and have a Plex server that runs my movie and music collections. I also use Amazon Prime, Pluto, Sirius XM, and YouTube.
I was initially very happy with the change to this TV. Picture was good, sound quality was good, but volume control was lagging. I could tolerate it. And the flexibility of Android was promising.
It is now 2 years later and I want to throw this out the window! The volume lagging is the worst. Press volume up twice and....no change. Press again.....no change. Press again, then 2 seconds later it shoots up to level 70. Its just as unresponsive trying to turn it down, then it overshoots right to silence.
Loading apps is just a frustrating. I timed how long it takes to get to my favorite channel on YouTubeTV. 4, yes FOUR minutes AFTER I've powered up. The same happens when starting Pluto, Plex, and Amazon Prime. Click on the App and it will load the App logo, then waits about 3 minutes before it shows any content.
It also crashes and kicks you out to the main menu at least once per viewing session. The number of apps you can install is extremely limited by storage space. The manual suggests attaching a USB drive to supplement that, but accessing the USB drive is so painfully slow it just doesn't work.
Every day it gets slower and slower. I have discovered that YouTubeTV and Plex will cache viewing history and that uses a lot of storage and RAM. So uninstalling all you Apps and clearing all you viewing history helps speed things up. I haven't had to do that since the '90's on my windows servers. Unacceptable!
As a stand alone TV with a single viewing app, this TV is fine. Expand beyond that and its a waste of money.

The picture is great, but the unit doesn’t respond to the remote. Right away where you have to press buttons multiple times. Even with new battery.

We picked this up during Black Friday sales. It replaced our old 42” 720p TV. For the price, it’s amazing how good this TV is. Colors are vibrant and OS is decently responsive with android TV. I wasn’t expecting to be impressed as I was disappointed with budget 4k TVs before but I was really impressed how good the picture quality actually was for the price. Of course, it’s not as nice as top tier TVs but for the quality/value ratio is just unbeatable. I think it’s comparable to mid-tier TVs. If you are on a budget or looking for secondary TV, it might be worth a look especially if you don’t like the idea of having ads on Roku TVs all the time.

Not quite as good a picture as some other more expensive 4K TVs. But overall a solid TV. One of the best for the price. AndroidTV is easy to use and has all the apps you will need.

Good picture, great price. Android TV built-in is nice, but sometimes gets bogged down and doesn't respond to input from the remote control after being in stand-by mode overnight.

For 249.99 it's a steal. I got this as early offer for black friday since I'm a best buy member. I love that it's 4k smart TV that supports Dolby vision. This was gift for my parents and they love it. I do wish processer was a little faster as it can lag when navigating between apps. Roku tv is a little more user friendly than android tv but overall great value. I do also wish the included remote was universal so it could control the cable box but that's okay.

I'm very happy with my Hisense 65in TV. Colors are bright and image is crisp. The remote control is very good and easy to use. The sound is good enough. the Android system is a good idea and works well, when it works. The TV freezes up and crashes often. When turning on, you need to give it a good minute to start working. My other TV is a TCL Roku TV and the TCL Roku is super fast compared with the Hisense Android unit. Maybe in the future they will improve the Android units or give them a better processor.

I must admit that this is a real good tv. Before purchasing this I purchased the Hisense 55 inch tv. Really loved that tv and sound was great. I returned that and purchased the 65 inch model because I really wanted the 65 inch.
I knew nothing about Hisense and did research and it had real good reviews and was recommended by Consumer Reports. And I'm glad I went with this tv. The picture quality is good, the sound is good albeit not quite as good as the 55 inch but still good. You don't "need" a sound bar unless you like surround sound. There is minimal light bleed around the edges of the tv but it will appear so if standing at certain angles. The 55 inch had some light bleed which can bother some. The 4k is nice but may work in only 1080p with a device that doesn't have that capability when using an HDMI cord such as the original ps4. With that being said I'd recommend if you have a gaming system or chrome cast or something close to that to use that rather than smart tv options. I use it periodically for Youtube and have not seen any problems but some have reported the tv slowed down. I'm not sure if it's do to limited cache or memory space on smart tvs but I just use my PS4 for apps such as Hulu or Netflix instead just incase. You have to remember it's a tv and not a computer.
Lastly set up was easy and operating the tv is easy. Anyone that wants a nice tv but doesn't want to break the bank I recommend this tv. I've been running this thing hours at a time and I'm thoroughly pleased. It may not be a Samsung or LG but I don't desire any of those with this gem.

I have to say that I'm surprised at the quality.
I bought this on impulse when I saw the ad for it. I've been in the market for a HiSense TV and had my eye on a higher-end model. But at this price, I thought I'd give it a try.
I also was surprised that it was a full array backlight but not surprised that it didn't have local dimming at this price. But after spending some hours with the TV I'm happy with my purchase. I'm sure I could get better picture quality with a higher-end model but I honestly don't have any reason to complain even if this TV was twice the price I paid (250.00). And the average person on the street would have no complaints about this TV either.
My only hope is that it gets an update to the new Google TV interface in the near future.

Replaced our old 50" Hisense TV with this one and what a fantastic upgrade going to a 65" 4K TV. Such a steal for $250 for the Black Friday deal. Hisense is a fantastic brand, we've never had issues and it always provides great quality. Quick and easy set-up. Definitely no disappointment. 10/10 would recommend!

This is a smart TV, so I got rid of all the stuff that I used to attach to my old TV. It is very light and look good in the family room. It's easy to browse apps store and install apps. Good quality in color and sound. The only issue I have is that if I don't use it for a while, I have to unplug/plug the TV to revive it. Over all a good buy.

Fantastic picture, Unbelievable price. This works really well. I would say the only downside is the way the button arrangement on the handheld control is. In the dark its impossible to find the button you want. Unless you develop perfect muscle memory. And the layout itself is not in the optimal configuration for easy usage.. You have to fuddle around . Other than that the picture is great. The sound is good and overall we are very pleased. I would have given it 5 star if the remote was better.

The price was great. The picture isn't quite as clear as I had hoped. The picture setting changes from one choice to another on its own occassionally. The sound is really pretty good. I use a sound bar but it would be just fine without it. This is my first android TV and I thought it would be difficult to figure out it's not. I'm pretty happy with this purchase. I'm hoping an update will fix the picture clarity and the changing of the picture setting will be dealt with.

Great TV for the price I paid. Set up was easy and the user interface is very easy to use. Only problem I have had is the operating system can lag at times. But for what I paid, it is a 5 star TV with no other complaints. Picture is amazing and sound is great when connected to a soundbar using HDMI-Arc. You will not be disappointed with this TV.

I had a Hisense 43 in inch smart TV that I loved. So when it was time to upgrade, I didn't give a second thought to which brand I would shop for. But maybe I should have. When the TV works, it's great. The picture is excellent for the price, my soundbar connected with no problem, as did my bluetooth headset. Many apps to choose from. All in all a decent setup.
The bad:
Stuck pixels about 5 days after unboxing. I can't see them unless the screen is black, so whatever, but still.
The consoles I have plugged into HDMI often stop outputting audio until I unplug and replug the TV.
Occasionally it will flash back to my home screen over and over no matter what I'm doing, again until it's unplugged and plugged back in.
The remote gets glitchy. Again have to unplug the TV to fix it.
Hulu doesn't work at all. It's either black screen with just audio, or constantly buffering and lagging.
At the end of the day, I didn't pay much for the TV so I suppose you get what you pay for. The issues aren't so bad that I plan on ditching it. But they are highly inconvenient and annoying. It's a bit of a disappointment from a brand I thought was worthwhile.

Best Buy rocks! My 3 year old broke my TV 1.5 hours before super bowl kick off. I walked in and showed them what I wanted and they said you bet. 10 minutes later I payed up and they placed it in my truck. TV is awesome and super easy setup. Picture is bomb and the remote has great buttons and quick response. Best Buy and Blue shirts are the best!! Cheers!

So far so GREAT. I wish there was a half star rating option so I could give this 4 1/2 stars. I have a few gripes about it which is what prevents it from being 5 stars. 1) is the android OS... it’s laggy, it’s slower than roku and others, but it still gets the job done; it just may not be as instant as the previously mentioned have spoiled us with (if you’re used to having them). 2) the remote buttons are soft and VERY sensitive to even the slightest touch. I often turn off the tv or hit the YouTube button by mistake and it’s very annoying. Not sure how I feel about this next feature yet but if you have a ps5 plugged in and you turn off the tv and wanna keep the ps5 on; it just auto turns it off. I used to not mind it but then in one instance when I needed to leave the house for a bit and wanted to turn the tv off but leave the game paused ...it just shut everything down. Not sure if I can change this but if you just save your game before leaving it’s a minor problem. And finally; no buttons on the tv. You lose the remote.. you gotta wait for it to auto shut off (if you even have the setting on). Besides those things, it’s an amazing tv for the price. I paid Black Friday $250 for this and 100 percent do not regret it thus far. Easy set up even by myself (though not recommended- I’m 6’3” and have long arms. And was still very paranoid about dropping it). You will be happy with this if this is your first 4K display.

I was looking for a 2nd tv for the other room. picture looks amazing for a regular price of $500. I was looking at the other tv"s but at this price and l could not go wrong($250). the sound is really loud. its thin as well not bulky like the other tvs at the same price range. only compliant is the remote is not Bluetooth like my tv. you have to aim right at the center in order to do anything! a bit annoying. over all a happy customer.
