So I like this TV overall and am impressed with it in quite a few ways. Though I found it lacking in a few that keeps it from being incredible. First off, I love having a 65 inch TV but make sure that you know it can fit. We moved from a 55 inch to a 65 inch and the difference is awesome, though we sit about 15 feet away from the TV. Secondly I love the picture quality. I just spend time at my cousins and they still have a 65" 720p TV and difference is startling. Football just isn't the same after watching it on a 4k TV. The picture quality was awesome which is what I find important in a TV so first box is checked on that. The UI while a little slow is unmatched. I absolutely love having Android TV which combines everything into one system. Before I had a chromecast, fireTV, and the smart TV apps all set up for different apps and different people (my wife hates using anything except the TV remote). With this we have almost every app... and i thought we had every app until i went to download Prime Video. The device isn't compatible (really? I just got this TV!) I read online that Hisense is updating their TVs but I couldn't find any information on if or when this model with get Prime Video I also check for updates and it was a no go there as well. Now it does have Chromecast built in and Prime Video works perfectly fine that way. The other issue I ran into is the CBS all access app was glitchy... i would select a video and it wouldn't do anything. Once again using the built in Chromecast worked great. So, while I love the UI there are definitely some updates needed to get it up to 100% I didn't have a problem with the rest of the apps I tried and I wouldn't have nearly the issue if my wife didn't hate using her phone with the TV so much... Last thing to mention on not perfect side. The sound while loud (which is awesome) is rather flat so not the worst speakers but not the best either. This is easily fixable with a sound bar and I can only think of one TV I have ever owned that only need a sub woofer and not a good sound bar so that may just me being a little picky... Now to the good stuff.
I loved setting this up. I used my phone the entire time and it worked great ( didn't even put the batteries in the remote until after it was all set up). If you use an Android phone an Android TV is absolutely awesome (the iphone has the same apps too, just you may not be tied into Google quite as much as me). I downloaded the remote app and realized that that actually works faster than the regular remote, it is much more responsive and having the keyboard for typing is just super nice. Lastly, asking Alexa to turn the TV off is awesome. It is not perfect but some of that is the fault of Amazon and Google not playing nice so holding that against a manufacturer seems a little mean. Though I can't give it a 5 star review because it isn't perfect for me but it is far more perfect than any other TV i've owned.
Pros:
Android TV
Picture Quality
Alexa Integration
Setup with Phone
Size
Google Assistant with Mic in remote
phone remote
Chromecast
Best app selection on a TV i;ve seen
Cons:
Prime TV isn't working yet
CBS app is glitchy
Remote has a slightly delayed response time.
Overall I would definitely recommend this TV especially if you love controlling things with the phone more than a remote and don't want to spend a fortune.

Nothing special about this TV other than it's 4k ability. About as cheap as you can go but it does the job.

This TV has been nothing but problems since the moment we got it. From the beginning, we would have to restart it in order for certain apps to work properly. It would shut down randomly and freeze quite a bit. Then came time for update!!! First, it wouldnt update. We kept getting error messages. Then we deleted a whole bunch of stuff and were able to update. We then went to reboot and, guess what? It said we had update!!!!! We tried it two more times and never could get the update to stick. We tried calling Hisense but they don't call back. Well, now it is not working at all. It boots up and then shuts itself off. This is not an isolated incident. I have found similar problems online with the update. So, we bought it in October 2019. We got a little over a year out of it (a year of shutting down and asking to update every time we turn it on). If you think that is adequate, by all means, try it.

Do NOT purchase this product. The android software becomes extremely slow over time, takes more than 20mins to boot up and stabilize, after powering up the TV. Apps keep crashing randomly. Extremely painful, would recommend staying away from this product.

Hisense H8F UHD TV...Wow!

OK, so anyone thinking Hisense TVs are just a cheap entry-level TV, think again! I received the H8F 65" UHD TV this week and couldn't wait to get it set up. It was delivered by common carrier and was actually on its side in the truck...uh oh! No problem, this thing was packaged by someone who knows what they're doing. Not a scratch on the TV and fully operational, so far so good!
I watched the unboxing video on the Best Buy site which was very helpful, so knew exactly how to unpack and install the legs. It's definitely a two person job to do it right. The legs can be installed in two different widths to support narrower TV stands. Nice touch.
There are 4 HDMI ports, 2 USB ports, a headphone jack, 1 Digital Optical Out and 1 Ethernet port. So connectivity options are not an issue. The HDMI 1 port is also an ARC port to support external soundbar systems. It worked perfectly with my existing "high-end" soundbar right out of the box. I used HDMI for cable hookup and the ethernet port for connecting to our network (so no feedback on the WiFi capabilities at this time).
Set up was pretty straight forward and there is a set up wizard to walk through all steps. There were 2 updates required during setup and they were done in the background while setting up. As this TV runs on the Android TV platform, being an Android user made setup a snap. Part of the setup asks for login to your Google account. When all is said and done, this TV is basically a really big Android phone with the ability to download and run all sorts of apps on the TV. Chromecast is also included. As someone still not fully cut from the like of Xfinity, it was a little bit of a let down that the Xfinity App is not supported on this TV. Google Assistant works great and makes picking things to watch a breeze. Just ask and she'll deliver.
In terms of the picture quality, I'm no expert so usually rely on the auto settings. I've played around with the different settings and have kept it on Vivid for the most part. The output is awesome, to my eye I'm not really seeing the difference between the TV and my much higher priced "big name" TV. I was a little nervous about watching sports with the 60Hz refresh rate, but the Motion Enhancement seems to do the trick. No noticeable pixelation or ghosting. Perfect!
The onboard speaker, as to be expected these days, are functional, but a sound bar is a must to support this size TV. As mentioned above, my "big name" soundbar connected through the HDMI ARC port and works perfectly and is controlled by the remote.
So far, so good, this TV has many of the features and functionality of the much more expensive options for considerably less. This should not fool anyone into thinking it's a cheap option, just a great buy! Overall I'm super-happy with this TV and would recommend it to anyone looking for a cost effective 65" UHD TV.

I'm in my first day with this TV and it has as already frozen up on me twice, image has been shuttering and dark scenes show some clouding. I'm trying to give it the benefit of the doubt and plan on keeping it a few more days to see if the freezing stops. If it doesn't, I'm going to have to re and it back.

The Hisense 65" Class LED Smart TV has so far proven to be a great TV. It was packed amazingly in the box and set up was easy and straight forward. We mounted it to the wall without issue as well. It took three of us to hoist it up and secure it properly. The TV itself is very nice looking, light weight and thin. The picture quality looks really good although I did give 4 Stars because our other TV seems slightly crisper. The color is beautiful and the sound is what you would expect from most TV's like this. We use a sound bar which is what I would recommend or utilize Bluetooth and connect to a wireless speaker system. Once everything was hooked up, we did have to do a few updates that took a little bit of time, but after those were completed, we were able to use the TV right away. We were easily able to watch TV through our cable channels and also access Netflix and watch DVD's without any issues. I like the Google assist feature and the way the remote is configured. There are so many features we have yet to experience, but look forward to utilizing them in the future. So far, the Hisense TV has proven to be a great TV.
