Amazing!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this for my dad for Christmas cause his tv broke. Amazingly, the picture is almost identical to my 4k Sony 65! And at a third of the price! When my tv finally dies, I will definitely be checking out Hisense TV's in the future! If you're looking for a great picture but arent looking to spend $5,000 on the name brands, I would definitely recommend this tv!

Great TV, underrated brand
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have become a big fan of Hisense and recommend this TV to anyone looking at TCL or Sony. Very good color accuracy and black levels. I love Android TV and will recommend this over any other platform. The menus are smooth and the picture quality is unmatched for the price. I have been using this TV for over 6 months now and it still works great.

Bang for the Buck budget 4k TV
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking forward to getting my hands on the Hisense H8F. For the price point, it seems like a really good value. Wide color gamut HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision ULED panel, 700 nits of brightness, full-array local dimming and 240hz motion rate. Last but not least running on the Android Tv platform. Hisense has added plenty of features to rival sets costing up to 1k and up. Picture Quality: For the most part, it’s a sharp bright colorful looking picture with the only weakness being black levels due to local dimming performance. On dark scenes black levels tend to look more like a dark shade of grey which is common on most LCD displays. To improve black levels on an LCD display local dimming dims part of the display by zones to increased contrast ratio. The Hisense H8F has around 60 zones. The local dimming on the H8F could definitely use some improvements to help with the contrast ratio on dark scenes. As for HDR content reproduction, the increased brightness does a better job of showing off HDR content. Even though my previous TV was HDR-compatible HDR content was hindered by brightness being maxed out around 360 nits. HDR content ended up looking slightly better but on the Hisense H8F it stands out with a much brighter picture showing off details with colorful colors. I’m not a fan of smooth actions since it tends to have this soap opera effect. I usually keep smooth action turned off. There are several pictures modes to choose from like Vivid (brighter colorful picture), Standard, Energy Saving, Theather, Game and Sport mode. When you view HDR content each of the profiles is automatically tuned for HDR. You will see HDR next to the profile name when viewing HDR content. For picture customization, there’s plenty of options besides the usual settings like contrast, brightness, color, tint, and sharpness. For the backlight level, you have the option to set it to auto or custom even down to the minimum level. You can also calibrate the color tuner, gamma, and RGB. Some of the advanced settings allow you to set the color temperature, the level of motion enhancement, noise reduction, digital noise, active contrast and color space to native or auto. Hisense gives you plenty of options to calibrate the picture. As for gaming, it performed well without any noticeable lag input. Xbox One X games that are 4K optimized like Forza 7 and Forza Horizon 4 looked amazing and played well too. For the picture quality you get for the asking price there’s not much to complain about. Features: There’s plenty of smart features on the Hisense H8F being driven by the Android Tv platform. There is a slight lag when navigating the UI that is noticeable when switching inputs or bringing up the settings menu. The remote control has a built-in mic for Google Assistant support. You also have access to the Google PlayStore app to download apps and games. Some games do require a gamepad to play. Onboard storage shows around 4.2gb of space available. The Tv also has a Chromecast built-in which I’m glad since not all apps are available for download. At least with the Chromecast built-in, I can cast to the TV to get around this. You can also sync a pair of Bluetooth headphones for late-night TV watching or any other Bluetooth device. If you prefer to use your wired headphones there is a headphone jack behind the TV. For HDMI inputs you get 4 and all of them are 2.0 compatible. This is great convenience for someone like me that has an Xbox One X and PS4 Pro I no longer need an HDMI splitter to be able to view HDR content on the one single 2.0 port. On my previous TV, only one of the HDMI inputs was 2.0 and the rest were 1.4. If you happen to have multiple devices that are HDR compatible like a game console or UHD Blu-Ray Player you all of the HDMI inputs will allow you to take advantage of HDR output. You also get 2 USB Ports to plugged-in external devices like portable flash drives. Sound: The sound output is ok for the most part above average I would say. There is some bass but you will probably still want to utilize a soundbar to enhance the sound. The majority of TVs don’t have good speakers. As long they don’t sound like a pair of tin cans I’m good with the sound coming out of the Hisense H8F. Overall I would have to say the Hisense H8F is a pretty good value for the price point. You get 4 2.0 HDMI inputs, Android TV, a peak brightness level of 700 nits and support for HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision. Some of the minor shortcomings are UI performance and the local dimming array that can be fixed via updates. For a budget TV so far the H8F seems to be leading the pack for the best in the bang buck category.

New design with 2 positions for the legs
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this wanting a larger TV for the living room and I wanted a Smart TV. This TV comes with Android, which can be paired with Google Assist, however, I couldn't get the TV to work with numerous apps, specifically any PlayStation apps. I even contacted Hisense customer service and confirmed the TV had the latest software. The apps worked fine when I plugged in one of my ROKU or Firesticks, however, the apps on the TV continued to freeze up. Beware this TV has a glass screen, needless to say I exchanged the TV, for a TCL with the ROKU operating system which works perfect.

Overall Great Picture Picture for the Price
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great picture with an exceptional price when on sale. Only issues are slight blooming on a dark static background in the upper left corner and the Android interface is a little slow with the tv's default developer settings. Look up on the Hisense forum how to activate developer settings and which functions to change to speed up the interface. Make sure you update software too.

||Posted . Worst response time of any television
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great picture. Response time to any button is beyond ridiculous. 30 seconds to a minute waiting for it to press every button you pressed like a 1993 computer. Even turning this tv off may take you up to 5 minutes and hope you didn't press the power button one extra time or it will be back on for the night.

Love my Hisense TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was skeptical to purchase a non-major brand TV. I read the reviews of the Hisense TVs and decided to give it a try. I purchased my 65 in Hisense smart TV. I live it? Picture is great. The sound is decent. I recommend the purchase.

Fantastic value!
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Spent a lot of time looking at TVs including the main brands and smaller ones. I ended up going between the TCL 4 Series, 6 Series, and this Hisense H8F. Very glad I went with the H8F. The picture quality is superb, and watching Planet Earth in Dolby Vision is absolutely gorgeous.
