Great picture but with updates biweekly and then screwing up soundbar and other things not my 1st choice. Do your research before buying this tv. Can be a headache to have.

Using the unboxing video was very helpful in unboxing the TV. You do need two sets of hands to assist in getting the tv on it's side to install the legs and then lift to your stand. The look of the TV looks great and high quality. Looking at it, you cannot tell if it's a Hisense or a other high quality expensive TV. The back of the TV was interesting where all the ports are on one side the TV, which was the direct opposite of where my ports were on my older TV. Weird but nothing I couldn't work with. I continued to install the PS4 and Direct TV HDMI ports to the respective 4K HDMI ports. However, this meant the ARC port would be occupied and I had to opt to use an optical cable for my soundbar. Again, not a deal breaker, but unfortunate that I cannot use ARC feature. I plugged in the TV and was greeted by the set up process of Android TV. I have used Google's Android TV under the Nexus Player platform that has been discontinued for a number of years already, but I still used it on my older TV. But setting up this TV, I totally recommend using a phone or tablet to set the TV up with your Google account. I am deep in the ecosystem, so I was used to the set up. If you are an Apple user, you can still set it up, however, I am unsure on your experience because I did not use it on my personal set up. After the TV was finally set up and with the WIFI info copied over from my existing account, which was awesome, the TV had at least 3 separate updates where you could download in the background. But, when the downloads are finished, you have to reboot the TV to apply the update, which is similar to the newer Android device updates that are currently used. So if you are well versed in Android over the air updates, this is no different. Just on a TV rather than a handheld device. The user experience once everything was updated was initially awesome. However, the second day in using it, adding apps, and browsing, you can tell the TV was having issues keeping up. No big deal, but you will experience some lag and it's not super responsive. I have frozen an app or two and had the TV automatically close the program or app that is freezing up and I am presented with the Android TV home screen. I have to say that having using the settings for the TV embedded in the Android TV software was weird to me, but once i thought of the TV as an Android device, I was ok and past that. The first thing I experienced in using an optical cable for my soundbar is that the TV will also use it's speakers so I had to simply lower the volume on the TV to zero and have the sound bar system take over. Weird work around there, but it's fine. Now the viewing experience in itself is really really really good. I was upgrading from a smaller TV with a lower refresh rate and non-4k viewing to this. Also being a smart TV, it really reduced the amount of HDMI ports I had to use, which was great as well. Now back to the screen. I turned off overscanning and started watching TV like I would normally would. It was a noticeable improvement from my 9 year old TV. Viewing from the floor to different angles of the couch did not affect my viewing pleasure in any way. Also, viewing it from the kitchen was a bit easier as well. I then began using the google assistant a little. Like asking about the weather in another town and the rain chances this coming weekend. There was a slight delay from google's response to the sound bar. I am not sure if I need to check the adaptive setting or not on the soundbar, but that is the only delay I have come across; when using the google assistant from pushing the button on the Hisense remote. Gaming with the PS4 and playing games on 4k is indeed different! Very clear and detail that can be had on this combo is really phenomenal for the price. With the addition of Android TV on this does not disappoint. However, I am a long time user of the Android OS, so I am familiar with it's settings that come with the OS. I am unsure if other consumers will think the same if using an iOS product to set this up, but from my perspective, I love it. It's actually a perfect size, whereas, I thought would be too big for our use. I am glad I was wrong. The adding of the different devices like two different game consoles was easy as pie. The viewing of TV is great, however the OS bogs down the Android TV just ever so slightly and one has to be patient at times. However, once you get it going, it's a great TV to look at.

Overall, we are very happy with the TV and Android operating system. Lots of customization options if you're so inclined. We have the 65" model in a room that really probably too small for a TV of this size and the resolution and motion hold solid. Initially, the Best Buy rep talked us into a lower model, name brand TV and for a similar price, this is exponentially better.
