Due to a recent storm, we found ourselves shopping for a new TV during a pandemic. The power outages took out the boards on our nine year old plasma with excellent picture quality. We had avoided shopping for the last six months and this seemed like an impossible task, but we went online and started researching. Every review was recommending this Hisense even when compared to televisions costing two to three times the price. We have never purchased a TV without visiting the store to compare pictures, but due to the pandemic that was not an option this time. We trusted the reviews and purchased this TV from Best Buy. It had to be shipped to our local store in Erie, Pa, so we scheduled to do curbside pick up for when it arrived a few days later. At pick up time, we never left our vehicle. The BB crew loaded the TV and we were on our way home. Excellent service! Fast & Easy!! Mounting the TV was also easy, but did require a trip to our local hardware store to purchase $3 worth of the proper sized bolts and spacers. Technology is wonderful. This is the biggest TV we have ever gotten and the lightest in weight. We had it up in no time. After hooking up all the connections, it was time to finally view our purchase. We were not disappointed. The reviews were correct. This smart TV has excellent picture quality and we love the voice remote. The sound quality is good for regular viewing, I don't have to have the volume cranked to hear it. But we did hook it up to our surround sound for movies, etc. We would highly recommend this TV!

So far, so good. Easy to set up, exceptional picture quality. My other TV is a Sony, which I think are the best, but this TVs picture quality is quite stunning for the price. Highly recommended!

I was pleased to find a TV at this price with the features included and a great picture quality. This is the only TV I found in this price range with local dimming and the fact that it also included Andriod TV so I could watch HBO Max was a bonus. I am really enjoying this TV so far.

Excellent bang for buck. Did a fair amount of research between the H8G series and TCL 5/6 series. Excellent picture for movies and streaming services. Android TV interface has come a long way. I also enjoy the aesthetics of the TV, thin bezels and modern look. You really can't go wrong picking this set up.

Great Picture and Lots of High End Features The Hisense H8G is a full array, quantum dot 4K ULED HDTV with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. It is capable of getting of getting very bright up to 700 nits, uses the Android TV operating system, and has integration with Google Assistant and Alexa. The H8G produces a colorful and detailed picture. Whether viewing 4K video from Netflix, APV, or Disney+ or streaming from Tablo or AT&T TV Now, the picture was always clear and the sound more than adequate. I also own a Samsung QLED which is edge lit and an LG OLED and I was interested how the H8G picture compared to the two. For non-hdr material, I felt that the H8G performed slightly better than the Samsung QLED and almost as well as the OLED. The H8G seemed to show more detail than the QLED possibly because of the full array local dimming versus the edge lit display on the Samsung. For hdr material, especially Dolby Vision, the OLED was superior, with the H8G and the QLED being roughly equivalent. However, the Samsung QLED does not support Dolby Vision. As I mentioned, the H8G uses the Android TV operating operating system. For users of Roku and Amazon Fire, the system may seem a little sluggish. Although many apps are available from the app store, one was not available for AT&T TV Now which is the primary app that I use for streaming. In summary, the H8G provides a great picture and includes many high end features. It would make a great home theater especially for someone with Dolby Atmos speakers. This review is for the 65 inch model.

    My Best TV Purchase Ever

My Wife and I purchased a Hisense Roku TV for our son for his Birthday several years ago. We bought it on it's price point alone never having heard of Hisense before. However after we hooked his TV up we were very impressed with the picture Quality. A few months later when our Main TV gave up We this time purchased a 55 inch Hisense and agin were satisfied with our purchse. Most recently we had been looking for a 4K TV to upgrade to. This time however we made sure to make sure it was a Hisense. We researched the various models and decided upon the 65 H8G based on the specs alone. We ordered it online and had it shipped to our nearest Bestbuy Store. Once again we set it up and were very please with the performance and the Picture Clarity and Hues and Saturation. There still isn't a whole lot of 4K content out there. But the Content we have found is very pleasing to the eyes. I highly recommend the Hisense 65 H8G to the discerning eye. You won't be disappointed!

The picture is amazing and the setup is a breeze. Honestly the only thing I’ve experienced that is a little bit of a pain is the remote responsiveness. And it starts on it own platform instead of automatically going to my cable box but I may just need to play with it more

The picture is excellent. We had a few instances within the first week where, when turning the TV on, the picture had a drastically pinkish hue. It was remedied simply by turning the TV off and then back on. The issue has resolved and there have been no further concerns since then. Smart TV apps work well and it's easy to download additional apps from Google.

This was a great TV for the price, but it had that high mosquito pitch emitting from the back, so I had to return it because it was driving me crazy. It seems to be a consistent thing with Hisense. Outside of that, the picture is beautiful, the interface works. Great for gaming!

I bought this to compare to a visio series Quantum and found that they look very similar as to the picture quality. I returned it because I got a really good deal on the visio tv so it wasn't worth keeping the hisense. Good picture quality after some setting changes.

Good TV set for the money. HDR quality is amazing. Nice viewing angles. This tv also has no vignetting effect - a thing that I hate with many Samsung TVs. A drawback is the handling of motion - things get blurry even with processing. Occasional vertical banding (barely perceivable) when displaying very dark content. However, my 5-star rating is in the context of bang for the buck. This is no Samsung Q90T, nor similar to premium OLED TVs from Sony and LG. However it also costs less than half of those tv sets. Android TV is a little slow but nothing to complain about.

Picture looks great and built in speakers are loud as compared to my older tv. Only issue is when using the included legs the tv does not stand up straight which is frustrating. If you mount to the wall this will not be an issue.

Great picture quality but the interface is a bit buggy for me. I use the new Chromecast w/tv so I might be a bit biased. 4K picture quality is amazing and even though I use a sound system, the internal speakers got pretty loud!

I bought this Hisense online as my son recommended it to me. There was no floor sample at the local bestbuy so I don’t have idea with regards to the picture quality. I blindly bought it based from the technical features and reviews. As soon as I turned on the tv the picture quality is poor compared to my older LG tv that I gave to my son. It’s hard to navigate and adjust the colors of the pictures. The operating system is also slow. The best features of this TV is the sound. You don’t need to buy a separate sound system.

Picture quality is good. Remote control is garbage. Default speakers are pretty good. Just over the 2 year mark, TV died!! Won't even turn on. If not for the extended warranty, I'd be up the creek without a paddle. I've learned the Power Board and the Main board are crap quality and will expire like a banana.

Got this TV to replace my ceiling fan damaged TCL 4K TV. I went with this one over another TCL because of the cheaper price compared to TCL with similar specs and it had AndroidTV instead of Roku. It's not a top tier TV by any means, but also not paying top tier prices. Overall good TV, though the AndroidTV is a bit slow, as it appears to be a bit underpowered on that end. Getting the integration with Alexa was easy once I enabled WakeOnLAN settings. There are some issues with game mode and blacks on this currently, hoping it gets fixed a firmware update at some point soon. Only reason I dinged it a star.
